Available appointments, helpful staff, and lovely optometrist (Dr. Sutton). Kevin fixed up two pairs of glasses free of charge and went out of his way to help me get the best deal on my contacts order.

Excellent service and great glasses selection! I love the service provided by all the folks, specially Sue, the best!!

Dr. Lee was and is amazing, he is the reason my family and I return to For Eyes, at Metro Center. The staff and the 50 percent off on lenses and frames are added factors. Thank you!!

S M

Terrible customer relations and support. The assistant wrote the wrong prescription for the contacts I ordered from Costco. Manager Paul would not accept responsibility and I was stuck paying for the wrong lens. Dr. Lee is fantastic!

Chernique Allen

Very patient and professional.

Rita Jones

I like Doctor Lee.

When I walked in with my daughter the man named Bob waiting about 5 minutes apon greeting me. I told him that I was told my glasses are ready, he asked for my last name I gave it to him. He then proceeded to grab the glasses. I then hear and see him grab a peice of paper towel and cleaner to clean the lenses? Why would you clean the brand new glasses that took 3 weeks to come in with paper towel? it comes with the cloth. I then ask to see them figuring it left scratches. I find a bubble air mark on them and imeditatly tell him. He said there isn't any after handing him the glasses multiple times he then proceeds to tell me he will have to send them back with a firm and disresepctfull tone. I told him there's no way after over $480 i would accept them to be in good condition not damaged. He then argue I did not pay that meanwhile I have the paper in my hand showing they were purchased for that price I ended up proving him wrong he gives me a angry look and then the phone rings he picks it up midway threw conversation and ignores the fact I'm having a conversation with him then tell him its pretty rude to pick up the phone and have a conversation when im talkong to you. Then he puts it on hold and i tell him how long is the process he said he 1 week and I told him I will be back when they are fixed. Don't they check these glasses before hand? I saw it ligitametly within 10 seconds check the camera. I will be calling corporate also. Hopefully they don't make me wait 3 weeks again after they told me 7 to ten business days. I will also state theres more that happened but too much to type about Bob considering when i called and spoke to him he didnt want to give me any information on when the glasses would arrive and told me he will call back later that day. Five days later i talk to the two ladys that were very helpfull and resolved my questions and concerns. Because of him i will not be returning after this transaction is done. With him being very rude, cleaning the glasses with paper towels and telling me there's nothing wrong with the glasses, stating I didn't pay for them fully (when I did , he said it goes into the cloud and no one pays), picking up the phone mid conversation, and not giving me respect that I deserve especially in front of my daughter. Which he is very lucky I was with my daughter to show her how to engage with un-professional people at work or in general the right way and to not stoop to the level of others.

I went in to get glasses repaied. The person who looked at them was incompetent and told me they were unfixable. I took them to Jems optical down the street and they fixed them for 8 dollars. There name is offensive and so is there service.

Courtney Greer

Customer service was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Optometrist didn't treat you like another number. Quick but efficient exam. She educated me on my eyes and their current condition so I felt completely taken care of. I suggest going to this business for glasses or contacts, exams.

Old pair of glasses kept breaking and decided to come in and snag a new pair. The buy one get one free deal was great and got two designer pairs of glasses for a solid price. Five stars is because Paul (the store manager) was phenomenal at helping me select replacement glasses to fit my old lens and worked with me on finding the right fit. Typically I stay away from chain opticians but Paul's expertise was great and made the experience super smooth. Definitely work with him for excellent customer service!

This place was wonderful. The service was excellent and I have to give a special shout out to Erica who truly made the experience fantastic. She was so helpful and accommodating, and made sure I was set up with what I needed. I will come back for her!

I had an emergency to replace my classes, I received new glasses less than five business days. They even offered take off 40% per glasses, for which I became extremely happy for. Their plenty areas to park after rush hour traffic and very confinent by Bus or Red line Subway.

Staff are uncooperative and will have you sitting for thirty minutes without attending you! Stay away from this store, desk clerks are impatient and will treat you as if you are a burden while only one person attends most clients.

Came there really desperate with heavily bend glasses - I am a backpacker and didnt have the money nor the time for a new pair. The old and really nice man with the Santa Clause-like white beard really managed to fix them for me- and that for free! I am really grateful for that and can only recommend this awesome place!!!

Brad Ward

Everyone was so personable and helpful. Dr Lee was the most engaging and helpful optometrist I have ever been to. He really seems to enjoy his profession and working with people. I can't recommend enough!

This was my first appointment and I was very pleased that Dr. Sutton has a phenomenal bedside manner. She was kind, thorough and professional. From the front desk to the optical specialist, kudos to G Street NW ForEyes!! Where they dropped the ball terribly was in the lab. I brought in my own designer frames, including case which included the accessories. Not only did it take longer than they told me to get my frames back I had to keep calling and when I want to pick them up my bifocal lens were not in the right place, the lens edges were not buffed and finished & they had lost my case and all the accessories. I finally got my glasses and the manager, Mr Tucker was awesome and professional resolving the issues.

I have not once had a good experience with customer service - staff was extremely rude over the phone (G st location only), on multiple occasions, even after I was on hold for 15 minutes trying to order contacts. I felt a burden to them asking basic questions about insurance, contacts, and general costs. That aside, the Dr. I saw was great.

Jesse Walter

Great optometrist!

Yngve Roennike

Good people, they go out of their way trying to help with everything, e.g., selection of proper eye-wear, and the service is very professional. Paul Allen has great experience in the field.

I don't normally write reviews, but this store is bad enough that I feel obligated to help others stay away. When I first went to get contacts from them, they should have applied a 10% discount, but didn't. I didn't catch their error until a year later when I needed contacts again. Even though I've the receipt and the transaction is in their system, their response was tough luck asking for a refund a "YEAR" later. They owe me only $6 or so, but these lamers wouldn't give the refund. If they discovered that I owe them money after a year, you can bet that they would have come after me. So stay away from this store if you want to avoid bad customer service.

I've had horrible experiences with eye doctors in the past, but this place is changing my mind. Unfortunately, I don't recall the doctor's name, but she was fantastic. She really took time to make sure my prescription was just right instead of rushing me through to see the next patient. Then there was Erica. She helped me pick out new glasses and sunglasses with the patience of a saint. I'm a VERY picky person when it comes to glasses, but she made it fun to try on new things and get it just right. I will definitely be back.

I booked my appointment online and got an email confirmation. When I showed up for my appointment they told me their online appointment booking system doesn't work very well and they didn't have time to see me today.

The ladies who work here are pretty professional.

Bob is the guy you need to see. He is the best licensed optician with great knowledgeable of optics and fashion in all of New England.

I strolled into For Eyes and into eye glass paradise. Paul Allen, as honest as they come, offered that it was that likely a delicate pair of frames would survive swapping out old lenses for new; others had said too risky to even try. At For Eyes, the impossible is possible! The "operation" was successful...score one big point for For Eyes in Metro Center. Paul also noticed something awry in the prescription from my (outside) opthamologist; he consulted with the independent optometrist at For Eyes (without charge) and telephoned my (outside) opthamologist. Score two points. Very reasonable prices and refraining from even trying to sell me what I don't need. Three points. I am told that For Eyes changed management a few years ago; that may explain the low ratings a while back. This is one very happy customer. By the end of the experience, I truly feel as if I had made a friend in Paul Allen.

Staff was incredibly helpful and approachable
