I was in town for the Prince Hall Shriners convention, and only needed my lenses transferred from a broken pair of glasses to an identical pair, which they kindly did free of charge. That is the definition of customer service. They also have a great selection of quality eyewear to choose from. Stop by it was worth the brisk walk from Downtown!

I had a really great experience here when I was a patient. I’ve since moved and called to ask for a refill on a prescription for a painful eye infection. It’s going on 5 business data and I haven’t received a call from the doctor. I was told they may not be able to prescribe it without an exam but was still promised a call. Unfortunately patient follow up is an important quality to me so I rate my most recent interaction as unsatisfactory.

All I needed to do was get a stripped screw taken out of some frames so that I could replace the lenses on my own. Heather (I believe it was Heather...?) was so friendly on the phone when I called to see if they could help with the problem. I came in 25 minutes before the office closed and she had the repair done in 5-10 minutes. Really professional office and truly kind people. Highly recommend!

I last visited in 2016. Dr. Dean is great! The other staff members from reception to Mr. Krishan(I apologize for butchering his name), eye glass fitter, were pompous, imperious and impersonal. After getting glasses, my nose padding became uncomfortable. I asked Mr. Krishan were there any options to adjust comfort. He told me that the padding were silicone and none of his other clients complained and went on to suggest that I did NOT KNOW HOW TO WEAR MY GLASSES! Seriously?! What is comfort to one may not feel comfort to another. Awful customer service. I get why there are limited African American patients.

I have had many eye exams but, nobody listened to my concerns and they always seemed rushed and/or not thorough. Dr. Klasman listen and I have never had such a thorough eye exam. He was friendly, professional and took his time. I wish I had found this place earlier and have already recommended family and friends.

I have bounced around from different eye care professionals the past few years and never found one that struck me as "the place". Federal Hill Eye Care is my new "the place".
