Plus, it's always nice to have a 2nd opinion when buying new frames, and I love that they can take photos of them on you and you can send them to your spouse, sister, friend or whatever to get their opinion. I have been a patient of Dr. Higgins and the KOA team for over 30 years, beginning as a "local kid" to now as an adult living in MA and making special trips just for my eye appointments! My experience with this office has been consistently exceptional year after year. The office staff are professional and welcoming, always with an appropriate personal comment/question (e.g. "How is that little girl of yours? She must be big now and keeping you busy!"). Dr. Higgins' chair side manner is like no other - calm, reassuring and solutions oriented. For years I struggled with allergies which caused issues with my contacts. He was proactive and attentive to my needs, especially during my "formative" years, balancing the health of my eyes with my allergies and my continued desire to wear contacts. Sherry who manages the contacts side of the business is exceptional as well. On more than one occasion I have called her on short notice and asked her to send a new box of contacts, in one case to Arizona! There was never a hesitation or question in fulfilling my request. Now that is what I call service - a lost art in health care and the service industry in general! The staff managing the eyeglasses center are fantastic as well. They have a great sense of humor, are willing to offer honest opinions and have never rushed me/us through the selection process. I have referred several friends and family members to this office, several who are now patients. If you are not yet a patient and you are looking for an exceptional, no-pressure, reasonably/fairly priced healthcare experience, you need to stop by KOA/KOC. I recommend this health care team without reservation!

I work a lot at home on a computer and whenever I need advice about eye strain or maybe an infection, they've handled it in a manner that gives me confidence about their care.

First time there and before I even went in I asked if they did certain procedures done there so that I didnt have to make another appointment somewhere else to get it done. Literally went in and the doctor told me everything I've already been doing then referred me SOMEWHERE else to get my stye taken out. The lady at the front desk didnt even call them because she said they were closed even though I told her my wedding is in less then a month and i really need someone to call. I left and 2 minutes later called the place....they were open...

If someone sets up a contact appointment, all aspects of getting contacts should be included like the training and fitting so that the person can order their contacts and move on. I was also told that with my insurance, all charges for contacts would be covered apart from the actual contacts. I drove almost 2 hours to get here and didn’t get one thing accomplished and was told I would need to pay $90 in addition to the price of contacts to move forward.

I recently changed to Kittery Eye Health and went in for a routine eye/contact lens exam. Although I don't change providers that often, my experience here so far has been the best out of any practice I've ever been to. Everyone I interacted with was extremely helpful, pleasant, friendly, and professional: the front desk staff, Cherie, Dr. Healy, and Nancy. I had no trouble becoming a patient, getting records transferred over, and getting scheduled for my first visit within a reasonable time frame (which could have been even sooner if it were not for my own personal scheduling limitations). I had an earlier morning appointment and spent almost no time waiting to get in for my appointment once I had finished filling out the initial questionnaire. Cherie was able to help me get the prescription off of my glasses since I didn’t bring this information with me. After Cherie helped me, I also spent next to no time waiting to see Dr. Healy. Dr. Healy was extremely thorough and very knowledgeable as one would expect. She was also very knowledgeable and confident in other areas not necessarily directly involving the eyes– such as what sort of vitamins and supplements to take (and the specific manufacturing process to look for in those supplements) to improve tear film quality since I suffer from dry eyes, self-therapy to build stronger eye muscles, and what paper towels shed no lint when dying hands for contact lens handling. We looked at a multitude of the usual eye charts, and color blindness charts which I have never done before. Dr. Healy gave me a wealth of new information I had never gotten from any previous eye doctors. I have no complaints or anything negative to say – they take very good care of you here from the moment you walk in until you leave, and I was encouraged to call after I leave should I have any other questions or if I needed any help. My expectations were far exceeded and I am looking forward to my next visit.

Having lived in 7 states, I have a wide range of experinces with optometrists, opthomologists and opticians. Kittery Eye is the best eye care practice that I have encountered. Everyone is professional yet warm. Dr. Webb is the most patient doctor I have ever met, making each adjustment of his exam seem as if you are the only patient in the world and certainly the most important. I have begun to take my mother, who has Alzheimers there as well, and everyone picked up on the issues quickly and treated her with dignity and respect. The opticians are competent and pleasant, taking the time to do the adjustments so that the glasses are just right. They were understanding when there was a confusion with my mothers glasses, dueto her eroding memory . Although I moved from Kittery to Dover, NH, I continue to use Kittery Eye for my sight. THey are worth the drive.

I moved out of state and now don't drive. I changed all my doctors but Kittery Eye is worth the trip on a bus to a trolley to a taxi to get there. It's worth it. They are everything you could ever need in one place. I am a low vision client. My glasses were $1,000 but wore them for 3 years, so cost amounted to $20/month..well worth it! I mean to see good and have someone have state-of-the-art equipment for testing. My dry eye care is not dismissed but treated very professionally with a multi-approach.
