I've been a patient here for many years and am completely happy with Dr. Giles and his level of care for my prescription accuracy. Even better, I am a person who, in the past, has avoided buying frames at the "eye doctor's office" but they carry a great selection and Jim always helps me find a pair that is flattering to my face. The pricing is very reasonable considering that he searches for affordable, quality frames and avoids the designer brand pricing. They are also true to the warranty for scratches lenses. Heading over to look at frames today!

The staff is great, but my experience with the Doctor is not great. Despite a return-visit where I complained about the tightness from my new contacts, the Doctor assured me mine were a fit. It wasn't until I tried another eye care center an entire year later that my new doctor informed me my contacts were sized too small and were constricting my eyes, and that the prescription was too strong and making my eyes work too hard. NOT happy wearing detrimental contacts for a year, especially after pointing it out to Dr. Giles. Thumbs down, harumph. I am a REAL customer, have been going here since 2016, lived minutes away on Forest Avenue. Giles is trying to deny I'm a (former) client, but... I am!

Tracy himself is exceptionally knowledgeable and willing to take the time to explain issues and solutions in detail, and the staff has been wonderful about getting me in during eye emergencies. Dr Giles is pleasant, low key, and very competent, and the office staff is similarly competent and pleasant (though in the past the office staff has been a weak link). The star of this rodeo in my opinion, though, is Jim, the guy who helps you to fit glasses, order them, keep them in repair, and doing so with your economy in mind. Jim is pleasant, affable, and the best at doing what he does in my 66 years of experience on this planet.

horrible customer service. horrible communication between the things they do in the office and what they portray to the customer. Christine at the front desk is really rude. Cut my appointment short so they could go to lunch and I had to reschedule for a different day and they charged me 2 separate visits even though it was suppose to be done in one. dislike.

Giles eye care is great. Office staff are OK...Dr. Giles is terrific. He is very astute at explaining stuff relative to the knowledge level of his audience. Not condescending or long-winded. Down to earth. You can tell he is extremely knowledgeable and up to speed with what's going on in the optometry world. The gentleman that fits glasses spent almost an hour with me trying to fit frames that worked for me. For the most part he cared how they looked more than I did, which I appreciated. A+.

I had an excellent experience here. I suspected that after several years, I needed a stronger prescription for my reading glasses. Dr. Giles is a friendly guy and confirmed that one eye did need a prescription change. He suggested that If I liked my current frame, that I could keep them, and the optician could insert the new lenses. I appreciated that suggestion which saved me some money. Professional staff. I'd go back.

This practice is absolutely terrible. Zero customer service skills-- especially at reception. The girl is very rude and completely clueless. I work at a local eye practice and always dread calling their office. Calling and requesting any paperwork will DEFINITELY take more than one phone call. Good luck!

I needed glasses for the first time, and came here. I was really happy with my experience. Dr. Giles spent a long time with me, and answered all of my questions. Jim was great and gave me all the advice I needed to get a pair of glasses that worked for me. I was anxious about wearing glasses and my first eye exam, but the experience was great. I would definitely recommend this practice.

On several occasions, he has suggested purchase options which not only provided us with high-quality lenses and frames, but also saved us money The office staff has always been very helpful in scheduling convenient appointments and facilitating insurance reimbursement. It's good to trade with a locally owned & operated practice instead of at a franchise of a national chain. There's an underlying feeling that they appreciate our business and will do whatever's necessary to maintain our relationship.

My initial reason for choosing Giles Eye Care was because I wanted to get lenses put into two pairs of vintage frames, and I read that the bigger places don't always like to do that. Whether or not that's true, I don't know. Regardless of what your reason is, this place is an amazing eye-care center. Dr. Giles was extremely nice and allowed a lot of time for questions/concerns. The women at the front desk are also very nice. The optician - James/Jim - is awesome. Super friendly and talented. He put the prescription lenses in my vintage sunglasses and they are perfect. Although I didn't purchase my frames directly from them, they DO have a very large selection, getting new frames in all the time they said. I would definitely recommend going here over anywhere else around.

I have been going to Giles Eye Care for almost 16 years and while the office staff has changed over the years, the quality of care the I have received from Dr. Giles has not. Thorough, kind, patient and knowledgeable are all accurate descriptions of Dr. Tracy Giles, not to mention he has a sharp wit and dry sense of humor. I have always bought my glasses through his office as well, it may be cheaper to go to one of the big one hour places, but Jim has always been extremely helpful in assisting me with picking out just the right frames. I would never go anyplace else for my eye care.
