Dr. Brogden is fine, but I'm done dealing with their inept staff and unhelpful attitude. They will not try to understand two insurance coverages -- you have to use one for everything. I can't afford to stay with them, so I'll find another doctor with a more competent staff.

I received a check that turned out to be fraudulent and this was listed as the return address, when I called to address them, my calls where hung up on and ignored. Something is not right.

I didn't have the chance to even walk into the door yet, and the receptionist was very rude on the phone. Before I even called the office, I got the contact information from the list of providers on my insurance's website and even took a look at the eye care, inc's website to ensure that they took my insurance. The receptionist stated that before I could even make an appointment: I needed my insurance card number and some other number that I was not familiar with. I don't have a problem calling back with the latter information. It was her bad attitude that was unprofessional. She scoffed at me for not knowing whatever that other number was for. I usually just have to show my insurance card and ID without anything else. People will have questions and she should have been nice about it. There are a plethora of other optometrist in Shreveport and Bossier city, and I will take my business elsewhere. I called another place within 5 mins. Update (03/26/2018): Now that I have worked at a physicians office. I now know that you just need 2 pieces of personal information to look up medicaid insurance, such as a person's name and date of birth. Only one insurance card number should be sufficient. The CCN is used for the hospital card. I am no longer on medicaid but there are people that come into our clinic all the time that don't even have their cards but I am able to get their insurance information. I only use their CCN if all else fails.

First the positive- it's a clean place, the doctor was knowledgeable and answered any questions I had, he went the extra mile! The assistant that took me back was friendly as was one of the ladies up front. I had to switch doctors because of insurance and I had read Google reviews about the personnel and was worried I wouldn't like the place, Of course, every place has it's issues, one of the ladies up front was not friendly and the lady that helped me with my contacts did not say a word to me, I felt weird talking to myself.

Terrible customer service! Called them twice about eyeglasses ordered over 3 weeks ago. I was told there was no record of me ordering glasses! I talked to the office manager who promised me the optical manager would contact me. She NEVER did. Really am I suppose to beg to spend my money at your piss poor establishment?! No man!

They have an online appointment service where u can request an appointment but noone ever calls or reaches out to you about the appointment. I thought it was a fluke but I've tried setting appointments on 3 separate occasions and no response. You wait forever on your glasses to come in and when they do you have to hound them down to get them but they want their payment upfront. I will be moving my family services soon

Would rate as zero if it were available. Glasses were expensive. Had to wait 3 weeks for them. In less than 6 months glasses had stress fracture. Had to pay for repair. Lenses came in 2 weeks later, staff didn't call to say they were in. Lenses were incorrect. It has been over a week, still no lenses & staff didn't return phone call. I am sorry I ever did business with this place. Will not do so again.

Worst place for glasses ever! Doc was rude and rushed me thru eye exam. Glasses were wrong at pickup. But was told must wear them for a week before doctor would change them. Even tho everything was blurry. Wrecked my car during that week. Still werent right after doc changed perscription. And the frames were so cheaply made lens would not stay in. Finally just said forget it ill drive without glasses!!!! True story. Eyecare SUCKS

I would give them a 5 star because getting examined was quick and fast. But calling them in regard to I have a full 17 hour work days on business hours. I was going to ask if a family member could pick up my glasses. Before I can finish asking the question the lady hung up on me and I can hear her struggle with the hang up. When I called to schedule an appointment they hung up in my face twice then I spoke with a manager who got me help when I went to my appointment the people were very nice they showed me what glasses I could get...was in there for 45 min at most

Very unprofessional the staff is nonchalant when it comes to helping you. I call for a week to order new contacts..left a message..it was NEVER returned. Call several times only to be ask to leave another message over and over. Went with another company to get my contacts and they refused to give them my prescription. Horrible place

I am currently sitting in the exam chair and have been here now for two hours. Everyone has gone to lunch except the two staff at the front desk. I was told that the optometrist would be in here shortly about an hour and a half ago. When I went to the desk to ask how much longer, the staff rolled their eyes (one girl didn't speak and basically said other medical patients needed attention. What is the point of having an appointment if others can jump in front of you to be seen? The doctor was overly nice and wasn't my original doctor.

I like the staff but I was forced to get a glacoma test even though I had just had one a couple of weeks ago when I went to a separate optomitrist for an eye problem. This was in compliance with Medicaid. Also I am not wearing the glasses because they are very wrong. The exam was not thorough like they used to do. My old glasses work better. I'm very disappointed and hate the glasses.

Staff very RUDE.. Optical department can't response to a simple question without getting attitude. Spend almost 30mn waiting to get my son's glasses. You are always told it takes few days to get order in, unfortunately after weeks i called, put me on hold for almost an hr, asked several time who i was waiting for, then eventually transferred to voicemail. I ASKED FOR SOMEONE TO RETURN MY CALL WITH MY SON GLASSES STATUS..NEVER RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS OFFICE . NEVER GOING BACK!!!

Very courteous front desk for the contacts and glasses side. If you need an adjustment just asked for elisia and she will get you fixed up. I recommend this place for the top notch service that they offer.

Took my boyfriends glasses and new prescription order in on 9/9/19. Went back the next day to pick up his old glasses since he needed them and was told his new lenses and frames would b ready in 2 weeks. The glasses were the original glasses but they are saying they put new lenses in them and would have to wait on the frames. The lenses ate scratched and are NOT new lenses and it is now 10/23/19 And still no frames..something shady here...i don't recommend this place.

I ordered glasses on 03/15/19. I started calling leaving messages on 03/28/19 about three times I left messages. I get someone on the phone today 04/09/19 that advice me my glasses was made wrong they came in yesterday and now need to be sent back because they was measured wrong. This is my last time going to EYE CARE.

They are the most unprofessional staff in the area. Horrible customer service & I wish I could rate a 0 star. This is my second time ever having to replace my eye glasses & it always takes over 2 weeks & no one can give a date on when they’ll be here!!!!!! I am HIGHLY disappointed & not to mention they let the phone ring & ring! So, I came in & called just to SEE what would happen & I actually stood there with the phone in my hand letting it ring. They walked right past it, not helping a customer or anything just goofing off. NOT a place of business & I’m discontinuing business with them effective IMMEDIATELY.... not to mention, my glasses STILL WERENT IN at this particular visit. Waste of time & money bc I cannot see to work! Worst, I can’t give a expected date on when they’ll be in to let my boss know when I’m able to work!

Horrible place. Never call when my children's glasses are ready. Always a problem for me to pick up my kids glasses without my children with me. So I have to make my children late for school just for me to pick up their glasses

I went in for a follow-up to pick up my contacts after wearing a trial pair for one week and one of the ladies was rude about. Asking me if I received a call to come pick them up. No I did not however I did receive several texts. Apparently I was sent to the wrong line but that's no reason to be rude about it. Not sure what her name is but she wears glasses and sits by the Contact Lens Pickup sign. Sad. Be they are slow.

I was a bit concerned reading the reviews but I received better care than when I had private insurance. I was running late and they still took me, my wait wasn't long (maybe 5 minutes), front staff was professional and efficient, the assistant was professional and knowledgeable, and the doctor was friendly, explained everything, and efficient as well. I like the options my coverage provides regarding the choice of frames. I've been told 3-5 business days and sales staff was helpful as wellm As long as my coverage allows it, I'll use this location for my ocular needs.

Went in doctor was good, seemed to have rushed through the exam. Less than a week later after my glasses are getting scratched, was told to come in drove an hour just to be informed that the lenses are not only plastic but they are not going to fix them. Then informs me that their is a spacific way to clean them. This is my first pair of glasses I don't know anything about It. I thought it was glass so I cleaned them with lense cleaning wipes?! She told me not to do that. Am not going back and will not recommend anyone to go their.

After the initial visit, downhill from there. Their follow up is atrocious...if there are any typos in this review please excuse them because I'm typing without contact lenses!!! I got contacts from them just over a year ago, called in plenty of time to get renewal but kept getting transferred to the 'contact dept.' The never answered, left several messages, they got back to me well over a week later.....of course if your prescription is over a year old they want you to get another exam. Here's what happened, when I started calling them, my prescription wasn't a year old by the time they got back to me....it was. Was still gonna give them another shot but of course, they can't see me for over a week.....if I have to drive 100 miles for contact lenses, I will before I go back here.

I've been going to Eye Care for many years and always leave happy. The doctors and staff are always courteous and very helpful. I recently broke my glasses beyond repair and got in to see Dr. Pickering immediately. I will continue to do business with them as long as my insurance allows.

I suggest that you do not go here unless you want to overpay for rude, incompetent service. Rochelle was the worst. She was so rude. The entire time she was speaking to me, she was looking at her computer and talking with an attitude. When she finally did look up at me, it was only to show her bad attitude also on her face. I was overcharged $50. If they would have waited just a few days to file my claim, all but $30 of my visit plus contacts would have been paid for by my insurance. They knew this when I went in for my appointment too, because they informed me that I would have to wait to order my contacts. When I brought this to their attention, Rochelle simply said, “we must file the claim on the date of service.” This is a flat out lie. I work at a doctors office. I also received similar rude service when I called into order my contacts, although I do not remember the employee’s name. I honestly feel sorry for the doctors here. I actually really liked the one that I saw and her assistant. It’s a pity that their front desk is going to run off all of their clientele.

I love Dr. Brogden, but unfortunately the staff is often snotty and unhelpful. I spoke with Elizabeth Martin in the Insurance and Billing department about my prescription and she seemed to be bothered that she even had to take my call. I got a pair of glasses and they broke within a few days due to being defective. I received a new pair in the same style and months later the frames have again broken in the same spot. I left 3 messages last week after being unable to reach anyone for a week. I never received a return call though. It is never a good sign when a customer tells you they will be taking their business elsewhere and you get disdain in return. Again, the doctors themselves are AMAZING!! The staff however is not.

Super place based on my first visit. Courteous staff and Dr. Pickering is one smart down home guy. Very genuine, and ON TIME. I've been going to the same eye Dr. for 12 years and finally got fed up with the poor treatment. I'll be using Eye Care from now on f they keep up this kind of service!!!!

My experience was very good! My doctor was Dr. Lantz, she was very nice and professional. The office staff were all very nice as well. I have found my new place for eye doctor visits and glasses! I would highly recommend Dr. Lantz
