The staff at Precision Eye Care is both friendly and helpful. I have been a patient of both Dr. Duvall and Dr. Coates, and I enjoyed them both. I am extremely near-sighted and Dr. Duvall took a special interest in learning about my vision history. They don't have a large selection of frames to choose from, but I always find something that works. They also offer a variety of options in terms of lens weight and thickness, scratch resistance and anti-glare. In terms of cost, I don't know that it's much different from any other eye care facility - all depending on insurance, choices, etc. I highly recommend this office - professional, prompt, and friendly, all qualities that will keep me coming back to them.

Great staff and doctors. The lab they use leaves something to be desired. My sunglass lenses came in defective and unusable. With a must have for work (I'm a pilot), the corrected lenses did not show up when promised. This left me no choice but to go purchase another set from Lense Crafters at almost twice the price so I could work. I am still waiting on a refund from the defective pair. The lab's failures are VERY costly to the customers.

I am extremely pleased with the great care I have been receiving for years with this company. The doctors are extremely knowledgeable and take the time to explain problems thoroughly! When I had an emergency (turned out to be a small tear in the back of my eye) they got me in immediately and were able to allay my fears quickly! The staff is efficient! I recommend this place to all my friends and recently persuaded one of my daughters to have an exam there! Their quick diagnosis of glaucoma and immediate start of treatments I am sure have saved most of her vision! (she had been having yearly exams elsewhere before and they had missed this important diagnosis!) She is definitely a new fan of these fine eye doctors! I will continue to recommend this office to family and friends! I consider it a very lucky day when on a whim I stopped at their office - so long ago it was still at the mall!

ALL the frames were super-expensive. Also, they told me it would be 7 to 10 days before my glasses could be picked up!!!!!!! This is highly inconvenient and inefficient!!! Most places in Bowling Green will have them ready in about an hour or at least by the end of the day. I could even possibly understand 2 or 3 days, but 7 to 10 days is out of the question. It’s a good thing my work insurance kicked in!! Very nice and helpful staff, but I WILL NOT BE BACK.

Reception staff was courteous and quickly processed my information to see Dr. Duvall. Dr. Duvall was very informative on explaining certain medical terminology that pertained to my eye sight and any conditions. Dr. Duvall was also great to talk to as well. Just a nice guy in general. The optical staff that assist Dr. Duvall were very pleasant to speak with in discussing my options on frames ands lenses. A Mrs. Cheryl was pleasant to speak with about my options and assisted me to make an informed decision on how I can reap the benefits of selecting superior lenses. Precision Eye Care and Optical is a superior company with good people. I highly recommend this company to anyone.

The woman who tried to get me to pick a pair of frames was a bit persistent when I said I would prefer to use my existing frames for my new lenses as they are still pretty new. We had to switch eye doctors because of our insurance and this was a big disappointment. The staff were really nice and professional but I will never take my children back to Dr. Baird. I had already explained to him that my son has sensitive eyes and that he uses biweekly contacts and that he uses Avera contacts and initially we were told that they were being phased out so he put him in a daily contact instead of a biweekly. My son didn't like them so he put him in a monthly. I, myself, went to my regular eye doctor for my checkup and was told that they are still allowing you to order Averas until Jan 2018 and I let Dr. Baird know and was told that he would have one of his staff call the company to verify that. We waited over a week before calling them back to find out that no one ever called. Ruth, the receptionist, was extremely pleasant and helpful and said that she would look into it and get back to me. Dr. Baird called me to let me know that they couldn't get a hold of anyone at the company and that he couldn't write a prescription. That I would basically have to take my son back to his old eye doctor and pay for another exam just so we can get the right prescription. Very unprofessional! My other son was switching from glasses to contacts and because he couldn't get them in and out in the allotted time he had to come back a week and a half later to try again. And on that next fitting he almost had to be rescheduled because he wasn't getting them in and out in their time frame. Last time I checked I was paying their fees. I definitely won't be going back there again and will let all friends, family and associates know of our experiences.

My husband got a pair of glasses at this location in 2017. They measured his PD (pupillary distance). This is the distance between your pupils. He went back last week for another eye exam and got contacts. I decided to order him some glasses online (they are significantly cheaper). He already paid Precision for his contacts. When I went to order glasses online, the site ask for PD. He called Precision and they said the last time his PD was calculated was 2017. They refused to give him his old PD. They wanted him to come in and pay an EXTRA 20.00 for that. Even though it’s just 20.00 it the principal that you get nickel and dimed FOR SOMETHING YOU HAVE already Paid for!!! Not to mention most optometrists do not even charge for this measurement! Precision Eye Care does! I called another eye doctor to see what normal protocol was. Evidently your PD as an adult doesn’t change a whole lot. As a child, yes. You grow, therefore this measurement should be updated every year or two. However my husband is 47. His PD will change very little if any. I was told all this by another optometrist office. They basically want his money. How incredibly unprofessional. My husband will not be going back there. They are nice and sweet when you and the insurance company are in “pay mode.” Anything extra....you WILL get charged even if it’s a ridiculous reason! shame of Precision Eye are for treating an established patient so distastefully.

My family and I have always enjoyed going to Dr. Duvall for a number of years. Our our prior visit, we opted to consider other providers for eyeglasses due to extremely high prices for complicated prescriptions/desired preferences. We ended up going with another provider for a sustantial savings. At yesterday’s exam, I was asked to consider shopping with Precision Eyecare again as my prescription had changed. Of which I gladly did. I was caught off guard by how we rudely we were treated and a general feeling of resentment towards us since we had shopped elsewhere before. When you are self employed and don’t have vision insurance, you have to consider options for corrective lenses. And we will continue to do just that.

As someone who has always had 20/20 vision, I was totally freaked out when an out-of-the-blue vision problem happened one morning. I called as soon as they opened, and the receptionist, Julie, immediately got me a 9:45 am emergency appointment, and verified my health insurance and how much my co-pay would be since I was going through health insurance instead of vision insurance for this type of appointment. Upon arrival, Julie was just as friendly in person as she was over the phone, and Dr. Baird was able to quickly ease my mind and explain what issue I had encountered after he performed a thorough exam. Even as an adult, I think vision appointments can be frightening if you don't know what is going on, but they explained things to me every step of the way. Julie even checked on me and asked if everything was okay as I was leaving the office. I highly recommend Precision Eye Care! & Optical!

Dr Duvall (…Robert Duvall–not that one), is a fantastic opthamologist. He takes care to show you what's going on with your vision, how it will change in time and doesn't speak above you. If you have questions about your care, you will have no qualms talking with him about it. Very friendly, helpful man. The staff there is very nice and personable as well. I think my only issues with the place are seating and selection of frames. I suggested they get a catalog and make it known what other styles could be available to their patients.

Only issue I had was when I was taken to the optical shop Cheryl asked if I was getting new frames and I said I just wanted to get new lenses for my frames. She then figured up how much I owed and told me. But she didn't go over anything with me about my insurance and what they covered on my lenses and didn't. My husband was with me and April assisted us with his frames, she was very thorough. She went over everything covered with insurance and said if we go with the type of lenses he had it would be x$, but if we went with what imsurance covered it would be x$. I then asked her if I could change mine to what I surance would pay and she said I could. She went above and beyond and called later in the day to let me know that it was fixed.

I used to love Precision, until I was switched to Dr. Baird. He never showed any real concern for anything going on with my eyes, but I discovered the depth of this issue after switching to a new eye doctor a few weeks after my last visit. After Dr. Baird telling me everything was fine with my eyes and my prescription hadn't changed, I saw a new optometrist for blurred and double vision where I discovered my eyes were dry, and my eyeglass prescription, written by Dr. Baird only 13 months before, was so far out of date my new doctor thought it must be 5 years old. I now have my new glasses, my double vision has cleared, my headaches are improved, and I can see things I haven't seen well in ages. I would never return to this place.
