My husband is a middle-aged professional, respectable adult, a Ph. D. Scientist actually, who made an appointment to establish care here. The manner in which he was treated at this office was completely unacceptable. Beginning with the tech, who asked him personal questions to make conversation during his visit, and responded with opposition and mockery. Next, the optometrist to insult him with the contacts he was wearing because it had been too long. Again, a personal attack, which is unprofessional and rude. He made the appointment as soon as he could when he got back from traveling overseas for work. She then proceeded to tell him no when he asked for a copy of his eye exam results. Refusing to give him a copy of his medical record for an appointment in which he paid for with his insurance is absolutely ridiculous. She told him he needed to buy contacts from her and she would consider it. We will not be returning to this joke of an office and advise further patients to look at other options in Louisville - you have PLENTY of choices better than this place. Be an advocate for you own care! ***update: Dr. Engel is who he was seen by. After speaking with the front desk personnel, who was much more pleasant, they will be faxing me a copy of his script.

Dr. Gossom is amazing. I have been going to him for many years now and I am always impressed with his professional, caring bedside manner. Such a delight to be treated kindly and like you matter the whole time you are in this office. The staff goes out of their way every time I am there to make sure I am comfortable and well cared for. Thank you for always treating patients like they matter and not just a number walking through the door.

My experience at this location was very good. The whole staff was great. Dorothy, the lady who help me picking out my frame was awesome. She wasn't in a rush to get to the next customer. She ran numbers for me, to see how much I had to pay versus insurance. I hope she's there when I need new pair.

From my first phone call to Gaddie, I knew it was going to be a wonderful experience. Everyone I either talked with or encountered in the office was personable, professional, and helpful. The office had a warm environment, and I knew I was given their full attention. A previous optometrist office messed up my insurance and kept me there for almost two hours. But that was not the experience at Gaddie Eye Center. I was in and out in 40 minutes! I am so satisfied with my experience and will definitely be returning for my next exam!

Took our toddler for his first eye exam and had the worst experience. The office is not kid friendly oriented and we had to wait over a half hour for our scheduled appointment. The appointment was a waste and we were referred elsewhere because our son continued to cry. We were told to bring him back at an older age. We will not be back despite what age he is!

Really appreciate Gaddie's not recommending an upgrade to my prescription when it wasn't necessary, and the clear and understandable explanation of what cataract surgery would entail plus the likely outcome.
