Dr. Xu is very warm and charismatic, and I really enjoyed my visit to her office. I really liked tne wide array of frames she had at the office, and she was very helpful in assisting me pick one. Another thing I liked was the offering of the Fundus photo, which gives an in depth look at the back of the eye, allowing the doctor to see any emerging diseases or abnormalities that have arisen. Even though it was $35, I thought it was worth the price. Overall a very nice doctor, and would highly recommend!

I always have a great experience at this office. Dr. Xu is professional and kind, and her support staff is organized and efficient. They always communicate the terms of my visits in advance and are very upfront about fees for services. I have had several encounters where Dr. Xu and her team have gone above and beyond to make sure I receive the highest level of care. As someone who has an eye disease, Dr. Xu’s attention to detail and skill level make all the difference to me. I would highly recommend her!

They are horrible, over 300$ out of pocket expenses. 3 "required charged office visits" including one of which was a follow up to correct a mistake they made submitting a prescription. All this ending in a reference to another doctor. Dont waste your time and money.

I've taken my son there for over a year, and although the doctor's are fine, the staff is so rude. Every time I call I am given attitude. They act like they are too busy to talk to me. Once I called to get a prescription and it took them a month to get it to me because they kept "forgetting" to ask the doctor to sign it. Another time I called to get a prescription because my son had lost his glasses, and needed another pair. I was in the hospital at the time for pregnancy complications, and had been there over a month. They were rude when I asked them to send me the prescription so I could order them online, since there was NO WAY I could pick them up, and I just needed a cheap pair to get him through until I was home and could find his good glasses. She told me I couldn't do that anyway, so she wouldn't even ask if she could email me the prescription. The assistant kept sighing on the phone. It was ridiculous and the worst customer service. I think I'm going to find another doctor for my son.

The front desk receptionist is extremely rude. Also The lady in the optical center is unfriendly and unwilling to help. The frames they carry are way over priced. My Walmart frames lasted twice as long as the high priced frames from here. Customer service is what keeps people coming back and the lack of it at this place will not keep my business.

I’m a patient at HB Eye Care Center since 2016, and this is my second time got Ortho-k Lens. It’s like a contact lenses that you wear at night, then you take it out in the morning, so that you don’t have to wear any glasses during the day. It press your cornea to a normal spherical during the night. The thing that why I love it so much is because my eye degree since 2016 to 2018 didn’t change at all, so if you want to control your eye degree, a good way is to get Ortho-k Lens. ↖(^ω^)↗ Also Dr. Xu is a really professional and friendly eye doctor. Overall, I had a really nice experience here!

I only gave them 3 stars because they charged me for the eye pictures (I forgot what they are called) when I opted out of them. I have no co-pay and they are all of the sudden asking for $35 dollars. Then the receptionist said I wanted it and changed my mind, I asked for my paper and showed him where I opted not to get it and signed. Luckily they didn't do one for my daughter or I would have been out $70. The doctor was nice, she told me a small prescription (0.25 and 0.50) would help my night vision but did not address why I have blurry vision, the reason my primary care physician wanted me to go.

Went in for eye exams for my wife and I. This was our first visit with many more years to come. The experience was above and beyond our expectations. From Dr. Xu to her office staff's knowledge being top notch.

I couldn't be happier with my new bifocal contacts. Walking around my home I can *read* everything without wearing store-bought readers over my existing lens Rx. However, I was happiest, after one appointment, with the personalized care and level of education I received about my eyes and their connection to my overall health. Not only am I looking forward to future appointments, but I've already referred others. Thank you!

I found out about this eye care center from my family doctor when I came here in October of last year. The location is clean and the doctor is very nice and patient. She did the general exam for me first and then we talked about overnight lenses. My eyes were extremely dry when I was wearing normal contact lenses at daytime. I have an indoor job and the HVAC is right above me. The Ortho-K lenses really helped me to avoid dried-eyes. Now I wear the OK lenses every night about 6-8 hours per day when I sleep, then I can enjoy 1-2 days of really clear eyesight at daytime! It's really worth a try and the price is affordable! I highly recommend this clinic!

I was very pleased with the customer service and quality of service. I had called last minute to schedule an appointment after I had lost my hard contact lenses and after unsuccessfully being able to contact my doctor who I had seen for many years. I explained my situation and they were able to get me in to see the doctor that afternoon. The doctor ordered my contact lenses immediately and I received them the following Wednesday. She was professional, the fit was perfect, and excellent customer service. Highly recommend.

I bought 2 pair of glasses & had a set of prescription lenses for motorcycle sunglasses last year. Out of the 3 pair of glasses I can only wear 1 pair! I spent $600 out of my pocket not counting what my insurance covered!!! After multiple trips back to correct the lenses I finally had enough & gave up!

I've been going here since I've been 7 years old. They're usually pretty quick about getting you in and out. They make it easy dealing with insurance companies. Also, when putting in for an appointment, they try to get you in as soon as possible.

I have been going to this facility for 2 years with all 6 of my family members. I have tried to make an appointment on three different days at three different times and each time, I am put on hold for 15 minutes before I just give up! It is ridiculous that 45 minutes of my week is wasted just attempting to make an appointment! I will drive to Lexington before trying to make an appointment again there. They have no idea what customer service is!

I was in search of a new optometrist and was recommended to HB Eye Care by my significant other. Dr. Xu was very professional and kind. The office was tidy and clean. I could not even find a fingerprint on the glasses on display! Dr. Xu and staff were very helpful and made sure I picked a frame that fit my face and to my liking. She even went above and beyond and gave me the best price as possible for both glasses and contacts. I couldn't be any more happier! I got to know HB eye care center because I was looking for a good clinic to get the Ortho-K lens, and one of my friends recommend this place. Dr. Xu is very informative and professional. The place is so clean and organized, and I enjoyed my visit there every time. I strongly recommend the Ortho-K lens and this type of technology. This method can be used as an alternative to eyeglasses, refractive surgery, or for those who prefer not to wear contact lenses during the day. My experience of wearing OK lens was great, and my eye visions stayed the same as they were a year ago. It is really helpful.

Our family lives in MA and my daughter is 15 years old. In 2015, we noticed her eye sight was decreasing and was in need of glasses. Because of the athletic activities at school, framed glasses were extremely inconvenient. With recommendation from friends, my daughter began going to Dr. Xu in April of 2015. She recommended the Ortho-K, and we were hoping to maintain her eyesight and prevent it from getting worse. We were pleasantly surprised by the result, as when we did an exam recently, her eyesight actually got better (from 325 down to 225). We are very excited and grateful for Dr. Xu's help and recommendations, and we definitely recommend Dr. Xu and the Ortho-K.

I went to HB EYE CARE CENTER for routine eye exam last week. Dr. Helen Xu is very caring, professional and helpful, she gave me a very thorough eye exam, prescribed me glasses and contact lens. I like my glasses and contacts, it’s the first time I am able to see so clearly! It’s an amazing new world! She also took pictures of the back side of my eyes, and diagnosed hypertensive retinopathy and recommend me to check with my family doctor for potential hypertension. Highly recommend!

I first met Dr. Xu when she was practicing in Westborough near my home. When I discovered that the Westborough office had closed, rather than transfer to a doctor closer to my location I chose to drive to West Boylston because Dr. Xu is the BEST! I trust her with my eyes and the health of my eyes - she is proactive and makes sure that I am doing all the right things to take care of my vision (taking vitamins, wearing sunglasses, etc.). Dr. Xu is the only eye doctor I trust to take care of my eyes!

The doctors and students are really nice here but the front desk women can be rude and seem like they don't care. I have humana insurance. They entered all of my insurance info over the phone when I called to schedule my appointment and said I was good to go. I get there and my insurance isn't going through cause my address isn't updated. 2 women tell me to go to the office and get my insurance updated and I can come back and pick out some glasses. I do this. Call back and speak with Megan who verifies that my insurance is updated and everything's good, I don't need an appointment to,come pick out frames and "Humana will cover certain frames for me to choose from." I make sure to ask that before wasting my time again. So I come in the next day. Older brunette woman at the front desk "do you have an appointment?" No, I just come to pick out some frames. I was told I didn't need an appointment. Checks my info..."you're insurance doesn't cover frames or prescription, only the exam." Oh, but megan told me humana covers certain frames you have. "Only if you're 21 and under, call megan in here. Maybe she knows something I don't. Thats the 2nd one today I've told." Megan comes out "humana only covers the exam and frames if you're 21 and under, sorry" Me: "okay, thanks" walks away crying cause im pregnant, emotional and wasted to much time on this place for them to send me away being cold hearted about it. Wasted my time and hurt my feelings.
