I would never trust my eyes with anyone else, Dr. Fowler takes the time to go thru and explain everything to you and makes sure all of your questions have been answered when you leave.

My son had a horrible eye infection that was bacterial and viral pink eye associated with a cough, runny nose and fever and occasional ear pain. Evidently, from what Dr. Fowler said, it was one of the worse cases. We debated between going to the pediatrician or to Dr. Fowler. Even though we love the kids' Pediatrician, we are thankful for the decision we made to go to see Dr. Fowler. The first picture is Jack's eyes after a day and a half of seeing Dr. Fowler. The next 3 are pictures of what he looked like before seeing Dr. Fowler. Unfortunately, Dr. Fowler's treatment made Jack so well he has to go back to school on Monday. HAHA!!

Had my first visit with Dr. Fowler today and was extremely impressed by the time he took and the thoroughness of the exam. He addressed my concerns and explained everything he was doing and why. Dr Fowler is a great human being as well as optometrist. He works very hard to relate to each of his patients, finding out about them as a person, not just an eyeball. He takes the time to go over everything thoroughly and makes sure you understand what you are being told. Prices were very reasonable to self pay and they do take insurance. Dr Fowler is amazing! Our whole family of 5 visits there! He is wonderful and patient with children. I have 3, ages 9,7,5. One is in glasses and he was very thorough about the whole process. So friendly and talkative. Really takes time to explain things to you and breaks everything down in an easy to understand way. Wonderful bedside manner so to speak. Very professional but not stand offish at all! The entire office is immaculate. Very clean! The latest equipment and everything is well maintained, you can tell. I want to first thank Dr. Fowler and his team for their customer service excellence. I would also like everyone to know about the choices that one has when it comes to eye exams, the new optimo eye exam eliminates the need to have your eyes dilated. The optimo exam is very thorough and allows Dr. Fowler to get a real time view of your eyes and/ or any conditions that one might have that regular dilation does not expose. Dr. Fowler also communicates with his patients on various topics regarding the eye and is willing to answer any questions one might have. He also educates patients on various types of eye conditions and their associations to other problems medical or non-medical that can affect the conditions of the eye. Dr. Fowler is blessed to have served many patients within the United States and abroad serving others. It was a blessing to have chosen Dr. Fowler for my eye care and he is a blessing to all those he serves. I would truly recommend Dr. Fowler and also the optimo eye exam. I am very satisfied with his service and his team's customer service.

Dr. Fowler did an excellent job diagnosing and explaining what was causing my vision problems and made a referral for some additional testing. He later followed up with a phone call and continued to monitor my situation until my eye condition had healed. This was my first visit with Dr. Fowler. Frankly, I was fed up with the bigger 'box' stores and the poor quality and service provided by them. I initially thought Dr. Fowler was 'stand alone', until I arrived and discovered he was in the Walmart building. I sucked it up and went in anyway and I was thrilled that I did. I have never experienced an eye exam so comprehensive. Dr. Fowler took his time listening to my concerns and explaining how he could help. He also made a huge discovery that 2 top area optometrists missed, which will result in much better sight and comfort - - something that I had been missing for the past few years. Dr. Fowler and his staff were kind, professional and genuinely cared about my eye health. I will be a customer for life!

I was in such need of an exam. I didn’t plan this,but I walked in and they were about close. Setting up the apt was easy and paper work was very minimal compared to most medical offices. Staff was very nice and helpful. Dr. Fowler is very thorough and takes the time to listen and answer any questions, didn't feel rushed.

What I thought would be a very quick and simple eye exam for my daughter, became a little more complicated than expected. Dr Fowler took longer than the "scheduled time", without making me feel rushed or an inconvenience, to explain the complications my daughter was having with her eyes. Dr Fowler was very patient with my questions and continue to explain what was going on until I fully understood. He also asked my daughter, who is 11, to step out of the room while he explained her eyes to me. Which I liked because I didn't feel the pressure of her questions also. He also gave me different options of what I could do and let me make the decision based upon his information. I did not feel pushed or pressured into doing anything. I also enjoyed his office staff. She was very polite with me and with my kids.

Both of my daughters are patients of Dr. Fowler’s and we absolutely LOVE him and his staff! My youngest Daughter’s teacher told me that she thought that my daughter was behind learning because she could not see. After meeting with Dr. Fowler and discovering the issue, the problem was fixed. Now she is back on track learning with the other children in her class and has gained confidence that she didn’t have before. I can’t stress enough how important eye exams are. As a parent you don’t notice when your child may not being seeing as good as they should be. It’s when they get to school, and someone is working with them one on one, tracking their progress that they notice the issue. Be proactive, get the eye exam! You’ll love Dr. Fowler, Ken, and Jenifer. They are all personable, professional, and knowledgeable.

Nice optometrist, but do not go to him for anything medical. Office visit rates are much more expensive for medical visits, (something they do not tell you ) and unless it is something very minor, you’ll end up at a specialist, anyway.

I would totally recommend going to Derby City. I especially love that they have Saturday hours too. Sometimes it really pays to shop around. I was in need of an eye exam, and after reading the reviews online of some Optometrist in my area I was shocked. So, I took a look at the reviews for Dr. Jeremy Fowler of Derby City Eye Care, and decided I would take a chance. Well!! let me tell you, from the time I stepped into the door, I was warmly greeted by Jennifer. Not only did she make me feel welcomed, but she put me at ease about any questions that I might have about what to expect. Once I was in the exam area with Dr. Fowler, it was a game changing experience. He took his time and made me feel important, and treated me like a family member. He explained thing to me about my eyes that I had never knew even existed. He didn't rush me through the exam, but made sure that I understood everything. If there we had more doctor's like Jeremy Fowler, we would not have so many complaints. He is truly honest, caring, very educated about his job, and most of all he's AWESOME!! Dr Fowler is amazing. I have two daughters, 6 and 11. Dr Fowler is patient with them, and both my girls feel very comfortable around him. I recently had an eyelash that grew into my eyelid. Dr Fowler had to pull it out like taking a splinter out of your finger using a needle. He numbed my eye and proceeded to remove it. I was in some discomfort, he patiently kept applying numbing cream to the eyelid until I could no longer feel the needle. Dr Fowler is kind hearted and and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommended him.
