Went in for a pair of glasses. Shawn was extremely helpful with finding a good pair and processed my insurance very quickly. Great prices on designer frames (much cheaper than the other stores!) and felt very comfortable here. Would recommend to anyone to visit to get a new pair of glasses

My father-in-law doesn’t have a gmail account so he can’t leave a review so this is his review. My experience at this office was terrible. I needed to see a doctor pretty fast so I scheduled one with Bluegrass Eyecare because they could get me in early. I saw Dr. Ansari and he seemed rushed the entire time and didn’t explain anything to me. He sent an assistant in to take an eye picture and she didn’t even know how to work the machine. She got another assistants help and he forced my head into the machine. The doctor specifically told me to put 9 eye drops in my eye and when I went to check out the tech told me that “no doctor would ever say 9 drops” and that Ansari said only 4 drops. She called me back after I left and said that the doctor did say 9 drops but he “changed his mind.” So there was some miscommunication throughout the whole appointment. They also said I needed to come back and see them every other day. I saw them 4 times. The second to last time the doctor put a lens in my eye to help with the infection. The fourth time I went back to get the lens out and two separate techs said that there was nothing in there and that it “popped out”. Dr. Penn finally came in and said she saw the lens and was able to remove it. The eyes are so precious so to trust your eyes to incompetent unprofessional people is something I am not going to take lightly. I do not recommend this office at all!

I took my mother in law in to get an exam and glasses.. Shawn in the glasses department was so wonderful to her and she loves her new glasses! Thank you so much for making her feel so special!!!

My review is based solely on the fact that they refused to give me my pupillary distance, which would have taken two minutes. Dr. Muncy was great, but she couldn't find a ruler in her office so she told me that Shawn in their optical department would give it to me. When I went to ask, I was told, "Sorry, we don't do that here. You can look it up on Google." I just found this rude. While legally they don't have to give you your PD, I'm just upset that I was told I could get it and then denied it. Not sure if I really believe the doctor didn't have a ruler or if this is just how they refuse to give you the information you need to buy your glasses anywhere else.

This was my first time to BEC and I loved it. The people were super friendly and got me in-and-out! Dr. Muncy was thorough, as well as professional and Answered all of my questions. Shawn C. helped me find the right glasses I needed and was amazingly pleasant and humorous while I tried on every pair I thought would look good on me! All-in-all, a great experience and I will be back!

Went to the location in Georgetown. Was not told that the contact fitting would cost $120.00. The doctor himself was very pleasant so this review has nothing to do with him. Was told that if there was a fee for my contact fitting I would be told about it during my followup. Came back the next week for my follow up and was not made aware of any fee. Went to go get contacts and was told that all of my insurance benefit money was used up for my contact exam. Never have I paid 120.00 for a contact exam. When I called to ask how much a contact exam is I was told with no insurance it's 85 but with insurance it's more expensive? So they charge more if you HAVE insurance. How is that fair?Again, the doctor there was beyond nice and helpful but I will not return due to the fact that apparently you get charged MORE if you have insurance. I don't see how that's fair at all.

Everyone at this office is courteous, knowledgeable and professional. I work in the medical field and know multiple medical professionals who are patients here as well. Shawn was particularly welcoming and made me feel like family. She patiently helped me select the best lenses and frames suitable for my needs. Her warmth and caring nature alone is enough to make me return, but the entire staff is wonderful as well!

The doctor was very nice and professional, the rest of the staff not so much. They charged a total of $405 for a contact eye exam! And over 25% had to come out of my pocket which I was not told about until my follow up visit. Not a good way to do business. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!
