I had been to another eye doctor several months ago. My experience there was very difficult. Initially, they told me I did not have insurance due to the fact they had looked it up under my old information rather than my new. Then, they could not figure out what my coverage was on my frames, etc. I went back a second time to try and purchase my glasses from them since they did my initial exam. Still, they could not figure it out. I even had a sheet from my insurance company showing my benefits. I had to get back to work, so I requested that they call me with the final cost . . . I still have not received that phone call.
I was determined to use my benefits for glasses this year, so I looked up who else was on my list and I found Abell Eyes, which I had seen many advertisements. I contacted them via email on a Sunday and received a phone call first thing Monday morning. I was told the best time to arrive to receive the quickest service and arrived at that time. The proceeded to get me back to look at glasses, even while Julie, the one who usually handled this end of things, was busy.
Within a few minutes, she arrived and worked at assisting me with picking out glasses and answering any questions or concerns I had at that time. She stepped me through the process and got me out within a very reasonable amount of time.
There were additional questions I had after the fact, for which she had given me her card and told me to make sure to contact her. I did, and she was very prompt to answer me and make sure I understood.
While I have not had an exam yet through Abell Eyes, Julie, along with those who took care of me at the front desk, gave me confidence in making plans to use them in the future for my eye exams! It was great to have someone to be courteous, patient, and kind. Needless to say, I will not go back to the other group.
