DESCRIPTION

We offer you all the feddbacks of real people like you who purchased the services and products of KU Eye (Ophthalmologist) in the area close to Kansas.

At present the business gets a score of 3.5 out of 5 and that score was based on 6 reviews.

You must have seen that the average of ratings that it reaches is really good, and it's founded on a more or less high of scores, so the score is more or less reliable, although it doesn't have a enough amount of assessments to confer it full credibility.

As you know, we don't usually bother to write reviews when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...

This Ophthalmologist is classified in the category of Eye care center.

Excellent doctors and staff. Very thorough eye exam and great suggestions for contact lenses. Also good variety of frames for glasses. Would recommend this facility.

The problem isn't Dr. Dekeyser, since he has always done an excellent job. The problem is with the office. Front line staff and billing department are a joke. Every time we went to the office for my two kids and my husband, the doctor and nurses were exceptional, but there always was a problem with billing or the front line staff....EVERY time for the past 8 years or so that we have been going. The last straw was last week when they wouldn't give my daughter one pair of daily contacts to tide her over until Dr. Dekeyser was back in the office to OK a month prescription until her August appointment. She has had ulcers in her eyes twice before, so this was imperative for her to have fresh contacts. They could have checked when I called at 9am before he left the office for the day, but did not. We made an appointment with another optometrist that was fantastic and was able to get 5 pairs of sample contacts before her prescription was filled. Dr. Dekeyser is very good, but the pain of that office isn't worth it.

Dr. Twardowski at KU Eye Center is very thorough and educated, he explained everything in an easy to understand way. He was patient and listened to all my questions, he never rushed me or made me feel like I was just another patient. 14/10 highly recommend.

Dr. Dekeyser takes the time he needs with patients and is very thorough. I would definitely see him again IF he worked elsewhere, but working with the front office is a testament to your patience. KU Health Systems scheduling department isn't helpful (they can't answer questions about cost) and if your health insurance does not cover routine eye exams (I highly suggest you find out before because they won't do it ahead of time), the out-of-pocket cost is a little under $200. I advise shopping around since everything is expensive here. The cost of glasses in their optical shop is also very high compared to other places.
