I have never been treated so poorly by a doctors office before. The staff was out of line especially a lady named Tina who refused to give my PD ( pupillary distance). I had been in months earlier bought a very high end pair of glasses from them paid for an exam but they refused to give me this measurement. Now researchering online it is a simple measure you can even do at home ( which by the way I had walmart do it for free no hesitation). This Tina lady gave the biggest attitude when I came in to get it. I explained I wanted to buy an extra pair online and this is why I was wanting it and she immediately became visibly upset and rude towards me and said she would charge 35$ even though I already paid for that measure with my original exam. Also tried LYING to me and told me that your pupilary distance changes for each pair no it doesn't. She then refused to clean my glasses I bought there and got mad again when I asked to have the frames shaped back to fit me again. I only went to this office because I wanted to support local business and thought they'd be friendly. I was so wrong I will never go there and I caution anyone who does. Side note the equipment they use is old and outdated the receptionist is also rude. I will never go here again and strongly suggest whoever reads this doesn't either.

This was one of the worst eye care experiences of my life. I had to visit their facility 5 times before I got the right contact lens prescription. After they finally figured out the right prescription they ordered me the wrong pair of contacts, all in all I had to wait almost three months to get the correct contact lenses. On top of that I asked for my glasses prescription because I wanted to order glasses from some one else since they don't know what they are doing and they told me its a 35$ charge. Save your money and time and go somewhere else.

When I arrived for my appointment there was nothing in their system. I commend the staff for squeezing me in so that I didn't have to make a new appointment, but the system needs to be evaluated for errors.

The check-in is great and very personable and so is the preliminaries prior to seeing the Dr. The Dr. Is fantastic and patient with you. My only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the frame selection is too expensive for the mediocre selection they offer. Not everyone wants the trendy, high dollar frames advertised in the elite fashion magazines so you wind up settling for something that you consider to be the best of what they have but not what you really wanted.

Highly recommend!! We had a scare with our 3 month old daughter over Thanksgiving with possible signs of retinoblastoma (eye cancer). We just moved to Manhattan and were able to get an appointment with Dr. Mark Stanley very quickly. Dr. Mark was wonderful with our baby girl. He was able to complete a full exam including dilating her eyes and was great at explaining what he was checking/testing. We were called back at our scheduled appointment time and were well taken care of by Dr. Mark & Allie (his tech). I appreciate how well they treated myself and our baby girl. Thank you so much! I've had really positive experiences--everyone is friendly, my visits are quick, and they ask great questions and listen to make sure the prescription is working and that I get contact lenses that suit my lifestyle. I was heavily pressured to accept a type of contact lens I've tried in the past and knew didn't work for me (they tend to fold over in my eyes and tear easily when removing). I was still given them as a trial pair and received a prescription for them even though I requested a different kind of contact lens. There was a lot of stress involved in trying to get things straightened out.

I had to make a review because I was impressed by this place. Every aspect of this facility was high tech. From the custom eye to glasses measurement to the auto focus. The Doctor uses systems and techniques I've never seen before. They use new tests that reduce unconscious eye strain to ensure your eyes are in a good baseline state so that the final glasses prescription is as near perfect as possible.

This isn't your typical everything was perfect scenario. I purchased a pair of glasses and I am over 45 so basically I needed glasses for both far and near distances . I have had progressive pair in the past and I hated them never wore them. I got progressives this time and in my mind they were not right at all and took them back. Eyecare Associates have exchanged my glasses 3 times before I decided it was just me (some people have picky brains my words not theirs) and went with single vision which worked perfectly for me (I just take them off to read). Each and every time they were pleasant, kind, understanding and willing to do what it takes to make it right not once did they make me feel I was a bother. I was looking for an eye doctor in Manhattan, KS so I asked some friends in the area who they suggested. The majority led me to Eye Care Associates of Manhattan. I'm glad they did. I had a great first experience with them. The staff was knowledgeable and courteous. They were patient with me in my contact lense fitting and answered any questions I had. I would recommend them to anyone in the area who is looking for an eye doctor.

I had a fine experience here for my exam- nothing wrong with the optometrists at all. Where I did have issues was with the front desk staff. I was trying to get fitted for contacts and my insurance clearly states that it's only a $35 copay- they had all of my insurance cards on file and kept telling me they encourage clients to pay $120 out of pocket for the fitting since it can't be billed to insurance (not sure why not?). I was looking at my benefit description while on the phone with them and it seemed like they were trying to scam me so I went elsewhere for my fitting- guess what? It only cost $35 like my insurance states. I definitely will not be returning and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone if they can't look up insurance benefits correctly and listen to patients without interrupting.

I have been going to Eye Care Associates since 2009. This year's check up was particularly encouraging. The gals who did my initial check in when I came in were very friendly and knowledgeable. The assistant who took me through my initial tests before Dr. Stanley came in was also very friendly and willing to chat with me about life, rather than just being a robot and going through the motions. I was picking out new frames that day, which can always be overwhelming with so many choices. The employee that took me through that process was also super friendly, willing to chat, and help me shop for glasses. I told her what I was looking for, and she helped pick out a few options that narrowed us down to the final pair that I cannot wait to get back to start wearing. They carefully went through pricing, and I didn't feel any judgement when I said certain features were outside of our budget or I just wasn't interested. They have a new girl training at the front desk so check out took a little longer than normal, but their cheery disposition totally distracts from it. And, when I say it took longer than normal, I mean it was 3 minutes rather than 1 minute. If you're looking for an eye doctor here in town, definitely give then a try!

My first experience was very pleasant and the staff taking care of me were very friendly and polite. I was overall pleased with the service and the questions I had answered for me. They provided all the information I needed. I see another review on here talking about the quality of the glasses - mine also broke a month or two within using them. However, mine broke while I was cleaning them. I cleaned them only using a glasses cloth like I do with my other cheap glasses a hundred times before. I went in to discuss getting them replaced. The optician told me it would be $45 with insurance. I was visibly upset at the time and was at a loss because I had only bought them a month or two before. She was concerned for me and went to talk to the optometrist who told her that my glasses were still under warranty, so she took back what she said initially and ordered my new pair of glasses. I asked what the likelihood of the glasses breaking would be again, and she told me it was because I bought the cheaper pair of glasses and I can't expect the best quality. I hoped that maybe I just bought a fluke pair the first time and ordered the same kind, because no glasses I have ever bought have broken while simply cleaning them. I consistently have bought the cheaper pairs from optometrist offices. Two months after receiving my NEW pair, they broke in the same exact place while I was brushing my teeth, not touching them or anything. I was extremely upset because for this to happen twice now would mean that I was sold an extremely poor quality of glasses. I have never bought a pair of glasses that have broken while they were on my face, not touching them or anything. I saved myself the trouble this time and requested my prescription to buy glasses elsewhere. I will still see this center for my eye health needs but I will steer clear of the glasses they have until they can offer better quality and cheaper options for their patients.

I appreciate the time in getting my prescriptions right.... it took several visits over months to work toward finding the best rigid gas permeable option. But just a few weeks after getting the latest lenses, I've called twice with concerns related to the new lenses and was told that these were the final lenses and Dr. Stanley would not even be able to call to answer my question or schedule an appointment. Disappointed to say the least.

My 11 year old daughter had never been to the eye doctor before and when we left she said "I thought that would be awful but it was actually fun and interesting!" Dr. Matthew Stanley patiently explained things to her step by step and he was very kind. This is a very customer friendly, professional place of business. Very caring people and Dr. Stanley does a very thorough exam. He found a couple of small perforations in my rt. retina, sent me on to a specialist and they repaired these areas the very next day with a laser. This may have saved me from a more invasive surgery later on.

Recently, my wife brought a pair of glasses for my daughter from Eyecare Associates of Manhattan. In less than a month, the frame broke. My wife returned the frame to this business to get the frames repaired. My wife and daughter explained to them how the frame broke. She pulled them off and the frame broke. They said it was my daughter’s fault because she removed her glasses with one hand and somehow this broke the frame. Plus they said my wife agreed that it was my daughter fault, which she did not. My wife agreed to pay for a new frame because they did not give her any other chooses but she did not agree to it being my daughter’s fault. So they charged us another $160 to get new frames. The following workday (Monday, May 8th), I called this business and told them that this was unfair business practice. In addition, I said that a good pair of glasses take a lot of wear and tear before the frame will break. My family and I have been wearing glasses all our lives. I told them that there must have been a defect in the frames because frames do not break in less than a month from being removed with one hand. The manager refused to listen but she said she would speak with their specialist and call me back later. When she called me back she added to the story and said that my daughter was twirling her glasses around when it broke. This is an outright lie because I was there when my daughter broke her glasses. Plus, I asked my wife and daughter if they said this when they returned the frames and they said NO. The manager outright lied to me over the phone just so she can justify her reasoning for charging us for the terrible products and customer service. This business only care about how much money they can get from you and nothing about their customers. The manager should be fired for lying to me about how my daughter broke her glasses especially when I told the lying manager that I was there when she broke it. She continued to try to tell me that how it was my 10 years old daughter fault and that my wife agrees (again she does not) with her then I finally hung up on Eyecare Associates of Manhattan’s manager because she doesn’t know when to quit. I have never been treated so poorly by a business especially when I am spending a lot money.

I hadn't been there for a few years and returned because of my good experiences in the past. I made an appointment for 9am, and got there a little early to fill out paperwork. I wasn't asked to be seen until 9:40, and by that time it would have taken too long, so I had to leave without being seen. It was extremely aggravating to have to make an appointment nearly two months early, work to fit it in to my very busy schedule, only to have them be unable to fulfill an appointment time. The staff were very friendly though, and I've no idea what the actual cause of the delay was. There are other eye doctors in town, so I'll shop around for one that can keep appointment times.

This practice has been running on one active optometrist for years now. When they first went down to one doctor instead of two I was under the impression it was temporary. But many many years later it is still the excuse as to why it takes over a month to get in. If you're willing to wait a month the doctor is amazing. I've never walked away not being able to see better. The front desk staff in the past has been exceptional. Yesterday however I tried to make an appointment and Maddie was not polite nor helpful. First she gave me three days that were available only to be told later that you were closed. So I was looking at December before I could be seen. I know I have a lot of other options so I will be taking my business elsewhere. I am sad to go but happy to be able to have Quick Service because I need it. After cooling down, I realized a one or two star rating wasn't an honest review. The day I wrote it I was upset because of poor customer service, which was not addressed by owner which futher upset me and prompted me to drop my two stars to a one. But after a couple weeks reflection, I know this is too harsh. The establishment is good. Expensive, long waits but good. All that said, I've still taken my business elsewhere without regret.

If I could give this less then a star a would. The receptionist was fine, other then giving me the wrong paper work to fill out and me having to stay after my appointment to fill out the proper stuff. The woman who did all the prescreenkng stuff was rude and short throughout the whole process. The doctor was lovely and helpful and knowledgeable. Afterward all they gave me was info on contacts and were baffled when i ask about glass despite me wearing glasses in, and making an appointment for both contacts & glasses exams. I was then informed that I would have to wait behind two other people for help with glasses and that i could not just go look at frames, which is all i wanted to do because why waste someone’s time telling me prices and fitting me if i don’t even see ones i like in the first place. As I was leaving I got my script and will be going someplace else to actually find glasses but I have no clue what contacts I can even get because the ones the recommended are ones I told them I didn’t like and had tried already. Unfortunately for the first time ever I had to inform a doctors office that i would not be returning. I’m disappointed i waisted my one yearly eye exam here.

I have always had trouble wearing contacts and hate wearing glasses. I would give Dr. Stanely 10 stars if I could. He has worked very hard to make my vision as good as possible in contacts. I've never had someone spend this much time with me. He really cares.

Went to the office handed the receptionist my new insurance information. We sat for 15 minutes and at no time did anyone tell me that they did not take my eye insurance. We went back and the nurse looked at my daughters eyes. Then we sat for almost 45 minutes until doctor Stanley came in. It wasent until after the appointment when I was waiting to get my daughter new lenses was I told that they don’t take my eye insurance. So no I have to find an eye doctor that does so I can get my daughters prescription filled. Highly disappointed. Would not recommend this office at all.

This was my first time at this office, but I had a great experience. Service was quick and friendly, and the office was very clean and organized. The staff was also very up front about any services not covered by insurance. I would refer anyone asking me for recommendation to this office.
