Runs like and assembly line with different people staging you in different locations. Expensive $$$. I wasn’t overly impressed with the selection of men’s eyewear. Dr Hansel is thorough and experienced.

Had an early appointment. Arrived on time, or a little before. Waited no more than five minutes in the waiting room; in any of the waiting rooms. Strictly business this time (technician) but it varies with different people. Dr. Elshatory is genial, but business like, wasting no time. I am there to have my eyes taken care of, and I feel people make an honest effort to do their level best on my behalf.

The staff was always congenial and quick (which is important to me) and thorough. I dont think I ever waited more than 5 minutes. Dr. Benevento explained everything that would happen and the approximate time it would take. Kari explained the costs of the procedures well and provided me with written materials to review. I have only good things to say about the process and the results

At 72 years and after 65 years with glasses, we were surprisingly pleased at being able to see so bright and clearly (near 20/20) without glasses, and now, glasses are only needed for reading. The evaluation before surgery, the procedure for removal of the cataracts (perhaps 15 minutes per eye - done two weeks apart), and follow up appointments were professionally carried out by Eye Surgeons personnel, especially Dr. William Benevento who did the evaluation, surgery, and follow-up. We give thanks to the Lord GOD our Father for Dr. Benevento, his staff, and that all went so very well.

My company had changed my coverage to one not accepted by eye surgeons but their staff helped me navigate through this unexpected change and helped me understand my options through self pay and cautioned me on re-embersement. I was disappointed that my company had chosen to change our vision coverage, because I did not want to change my DR. They treated me very well, and hopefully I can get my vision insurance to cover my visit or at least recoup expense. I hope to try to encourage corporation to see how this change affects relationship between patient and Doctor, and the continuity of care. I have been a patient for many years and expect to continue my vision care with Eye Surgeons in the future years.

Instant success in the recovery of my vision, colors are sharp/crisp, and brightness is back to normal. 20/20 vision for distance is now restored, my 2nd eye is due for the cataract procedure in a week. However, this was second visit to Eye Surgeons that week and they re-performed the preliminary eye exam (eye pressure, etc.) even though it had been done 3 days prior. I informed the tech of this fact but she stated this is just normal procedure. Is this a way to charge my insurance more?

The woman at the check-in counter refused to check my health insurance coverage for the 100% covered annual eye exam benefit after I informed her. She said she had never heard of such thing and it took too long to call the insurance company to confirm. She treated me like I am an ignorant Chinese woman. She insisted I used VSP which I had a $20 copay. This is the most unfriendly service I have ever had! Eye Surgeons, this is too ugly to rob your patients this way!

If there was a faster acting, shorter duration chemical out there for the dilatation process, it would be a win-win situation for everyone. He also was open about my prescription change showing some change but not necessarily requiring new glasses. The check-in and check-out staff were very friendly and efficient.
