My family and I love this place. We moved here 2 years ago and had a less than stellar experience at another office, and are so glad we were referred here. The staff is excellent and take the time to really help you, whether it be with the exam, contacts or glasses (I have a family of 4 and we all need glasses and/or contacts). I would recommend them to anyone!

The interaction with the doctor was fantastic!!! My discontent all comes from my interaction with the office staff. My eyes had been dilated prior to the reviewing my billing as well as fitting of glasses. I tried to follow along while the statement was explained and choices for glasses were presented but had a hard time. I called into the office to get an explanation and reschedule my follow up. When I called I was greeted and asked to hold. 15 minutes later o hung up and called right back and was greeted then asked how I could helped. I spoke with the office manager and repeatedly told she was sorry. There was no empathy in her voice or understanding of my frustration. I scheduled my appointment due being able to get in right away. I wish I had waited and plan to order my glasses and contacts from some where else

My experience only comes from ordering glasses. Exact replacements of the pair I walked in with. Associate had the frame model, number, and size, just had to put it in the system and order them. 3 weeks later got the exact glasses I wanted, but the frame size was not right. They offered to fix the error. 3 weeks later, went in to pick up my glasses made with the correct frame size. Was disappointed that they didn't fit right, or fold correctly. The frames were correct, but flared up so much more than my current ones, and the lenses were shaped noticably different. Sat for 35 minutes with the associate telling me that all was fine, etc. Upon getting home within 5 minutes of looking at them realized the lenses were the problem, and too big for the frames, and not shaped correctly. Associate agreed and offered to have the lenses reshaped the way they should be. Even offered to put them in the floor model frames since I thought they were better. Thought that was a poor idea given I'd spent hundreds of dollars for a new frame that hadn't been on countless faces Thought I was in for an easy process, given I handed them the glasses I needed ordered. After 2 months time, 4 trips to the store, two frames, four lenses, reshaping of lenses, I might actually get my glasses. Pretty dissappointed.

Both of my sons required a more comprehensive eye exam and found this location of Eye Care of Iowa to be very friendly. My 10 year old son received weekly treatment for months and we were always greeted with a friendly welcome. Dr. Nick Blasco is great with children and my family really appreciate his help. I would recommend others to Eye Care of Iowa.

We love Eye Care of Iowa! Excellent customer service. My 7 year old son is Autistic, and the doctors and staff are very patient and work so well with him when he comes in for his yearly eye exam. The staff explain everything, and are very friendly. 5 stars!

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially for my daughter who was getting contacts for the first time. They explained everything to her in detail and made sure she was comfortable putting in the contacts on her own before they would allow her to leave with them. They were also good at explaining different eye ware options and the associated prices so that I could find something that functioned well and also fit within our budget.

The doctors here are great, especially doctor Blasco, and he is really good with kids. The reason for the three stars is that they told me they don't honor warranties on frames anymore. My two little boys are just that- little boys and they are hard on their glasses. When we first started going here they were very accommodating if there were issues with the frames, but the last time a pair of frames broke it was not from abuse or misuse, it was a pair of frames with the spring bridge and the spring broke in two, twice. They second time they broke they informed me that they would only replace a set of frames once, regardless of the reason. When I told them how they broke and where they indicated it was irrelevant- even though they had a year warranty through the manufacturer. I ended up having to buy another pair of glasses out of my pocket to replace them. The kicker is I was told the glasses have a year warranty through the manufacturer, so apparently someone there decided it's too much effort to deal with. If they had informed me at the time I bought the glasses that they would only replace them once, that would have been different, but changing your policy after the glasses have been purchased is seriously unprofessional. When I told them I would be taking my business elsewhere they acted like they could seriously care less. ??? UPDATE- After finding my review on Google, Dr. Blasco called me personally and apologized for the situation. Apparently the doctors at these facilities are the business owner shareholders. Had I known that I would have taken my issue to him directly. As for the warranty I am still getting conflicting impressions on that, so I am not sure if they do or not, but when I went to pick up our records, there was a replacement frame there for the one they said they wouldn't replace, and apparently the girl that was rude to me no longer works there.

For 5 years I've been fighting the need to go to a progressive lens. Dr. Blasco did a GREAT job of coming up with the proper prescription, but the true credit goes to Ally in the front office. She worked diligently with me to get everything adjusted just right and make the transition easier. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Our family loves Eye Care of Iowa. We see Dr. Matthew Ward, and he is both friendly and thorough. The rest of the staff is friendly as well. They have fixed our daughter's glasses in house when she stepped on them, and if they weren't able to they would replace them with their one year warranty. We also appreciate that they have Saturday appointments.

Dr. Jansma and her staff are lovely people. We have four kids who need eye exams, besides my husband and me. They are always accommodating and patient with my bunch. They are kind and easy to work with, and they handle billing efficiently and professionally. We have used and appreciated their 1-year warranty on frames on many occasions! (Boys!) We trust them and appreciate their high level of care. We wouldn't go anywhere else!

Dr. Hanson has taken care of our entire family for 30+ years. We were so happy to see Eye Care of Iowa move to the new Ankeny location it is so convenient for us now. The staff there are all very nice. I went back to have my new glasses adjusted about 3 days after getting them and they made time for me right away. I also love the fact that Dr. Hanson does an eye exam for Diabetics and I do not have to go to different doctors to get this done. I go to him and he takes care of everything. Nice place, friendly staff and we love Dr. Mark.

The dr's know their stuff. The office is efficient. They don't try to change your glasses if you don't really need it. Helped me with a really unique eyelid problem. Takes the time to listen to me. Only down side is it does take some time to get an appointment because they are so busy.

The staff at Eye Care of Iowa really take the time to make sure that the patient is taken care of. They have a great selection of frames and are willing to take the extra time to make sure the frame you get is the frame you love. When an issue came up with my wife's glasses, they quickly resolved the issue and made sure everything was right. I would highly recommend Eye Care of Iowa.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Ward since moving to Ankeny, and I found him and his staff extremely friendly and helpful. I thought my appointment was very thorough, and Dr. Ward was able to explain everything to me. I also didn't have to wait very long, I was in and out and got my contacts the next week.
