I payed over $200 to get a diagnosis of a chilazion of which i had already diagnosed via web-MD and a nurse I know. They took 15 minutes to charge me $200. I suggest shopping around if you can they are grossly overpriced.

I forgot my flexible spending card at home. When I asked if I could call the $15 copay in upon return home, the answer was no. If I didn't pay, I'd have to reschedule. Low and behold, I sat in the waiting room for 30 min before I decided to leave and take my business elsewhere.

I have been trying to contact the office every 5 minutes since 8:00 this morning (now 2:36 PM) for an insurance and billing question; each time the line has been busy. There is only one number given for both the north and south offices and all departments listed; there is no email address to contact them. I have checked their website, both locations, and have not been able to find any alternative contact information to reach them. This is a very poor example of customer service. How can a doctor's office with 2 locations and multiple departments at each have only one available phone number with no perceived way of handling patient phone calls?

Bobby Redfern

It took them 11 rings of the phone to answer. Then I was put on hold for 4 minutes before hanging up. How hard is it to make an eye appointment?

I have been going here for years, and they just seem to be getting worse and worse. My husband and I both waited over 30 minutes in the waiting room, and then there was more waiting once you were back in the exam room. They are either severely understaffed consistently, or just do not give a damn about people's time. The only option the intake woman could offer me was to reschedule.. PLEASE, and go through that all over again?... I don't think so! I'll waste my time finding another eye doctor that that is actually PROFESSIONAL and can adhere to an appointment schedule. I refuse to accept that a seemingly professional establishment can't get this right. I've been to very busy orthopedic offices that communicate to their patients on a TV screen if the doctor is on time or is delayed (with an approximate wait time). So I, as a busy mother of 3 children, I can decide when I walk in the door if I can commit to waiting extra time. If I am willing to wait, then I don't get to complain. BUT, if I'm never communicated to about an expected wait - then I do get to complain. Many busy doctors, dentists and ophthalmology doctors have figured it out. It's a simple fix: Be Professional, Be Prompt, and Communicate to Patients. Unfortunately, this establishment has not figured this out. We respect these doctors' time, We respect their medical degree - OR we wouldn't be patients. I have NEVER made a Google Review until now. My recommendation to future patients is this - though they are well established with thousands of patients - if you have a busy schedule and don't have all day to wait around for a simple eye exam - if you are a generally healthy adult who's time is valuable you should keep looking for another physician. Maybe one that's already got it figured out......

All the Doctors at ot Opthalmology Consultants have been so very well qualified and patient oriented that i am compelled to write this. Through years of severe eye problems with my elderly mother and most recently with my sister and a torn retina experience the doctors went out of there way to make sure the patiets would be seen as critical emergency visits. I would never complain about waiting to be seen for a eye exam as I realize a doctor does not always know what will be found during an exam and how much time will need to be given to an individual patient. Doctors take calls on all hours of the day and weekends ro address concerns and problems parients have. Please bear this in mind as you are annoyed by your wait. The next critical care patient may be you. Sincerely, Molly Moffitt

Horrible! Would never recommend going there! Let alone my appt was at 10:30 and I was not seen until 11:45 with no apology but the dr. had no clue what was wrong with me or could not give relief but to refer me onto another office to another dr. Then when i complained about the wait and the way the doctor was so unprofessional, i was treated rudely. i would never go there! Find a more professional office. This young blonde doctor has no clue what she is doing.

I did not see Dr. Hudson, I saw Dr. Renshaw. The first thing I was asked by the woman on the phone was, "What kind of insurance do you have?" Dr. Renshaw was 1 hr. 35 minutes late. He was not the least bit jolly as his picture would suggest. He did not seem to understand the subject matter very well. He refused to operate and only prescribed an ointment, which I could not tolerate. I found out that no one at that office will operate at the first appointment for anything, including styes, but you have to come back a second time. And then they, basically, pick the time of your surgery, as they prefer it during the lunch hour or at the very end of the day. If you have an entire afternoon to waste, this is the place for you!

Your phone number has rang busy for a day and a half straight. I've been trying to cancel an appointment for today at 2:30 but haven't been able to get through.... I better not be charged for a missed appointment. It's always hard to get ahold of anyone in your office.

All I can say is yes it may be a bit of waiting time as ALL good doctors HAVE . ^^ that is the key to knowing you have good doctors who ARE concerned for yours or a loved ones well being . They take time with their clients to make sure the job is done right. I have a great feral of respect for them as my 8 yr old daughter has a condition that is very sensitive and requires two surgeries and she has always been comfortable , outgoing and happy with the staff and doctors there !! Thanks you all for making the eye doctors and surgery for my little girl not so scary for her and for making sure you've put her needs first before concern to filling your pockets ! My family appreciates that greatly and you soon have both of my sons as clients !

This review is meant to serve as a public "thank you" to Dr.'s Renshaw and Hudson. I went to their office last summer (the first time in almost 20 years since they performed laser surgery) after seeing flashes in my left eye. No issues with my eyeball, but Dr. Renshaw insisted that I have an MRI to check for other causes. Other than the one-time ocular flashes, I felt fine. It turned out that a simple strep virus had infected my heart lining and caused three "mini-strokes" resulting in the flashes. Four months later, after open heart surgery to replace a heart valve, everything is back to normal and I'm able to finish raising my three sons. My cardiologist told me I should be thankful for the vigilance of my eye doctor. I am. Don Goeglein

Dr. Brian Miller correctly diagnosed my eye condition and his staff sent me to a specialist, and I had surgery the next day.
