Dr Roberts was amazing with my 3 year old son. Personable, explained our treatment plan well, made us feel comfortable. Definitely would recommend to others.

There's a process and they are respectful of your time. You should expect a wait with any procedure and all the testing that's involved to provide good care. I was impressed with Dr. Maturi and his staff.

JEANNE MONTGOMERY

Had my first visit today and was very pleased. Staff was courteous wait time not bad at all. Dr very personable and thorough.

Doug Springer

The only people I will let touch my eyes! Dr Johnson has operated twice on different eyes and is great!

Drs. & staff are great & friendly but schedule & waiting time ridiculous, have an appointment & 3 hours later you are taken back to see the dr.& still have some more time to wait before he comes in. People with appointments after you come in & get ahead of you!

Chris Straub

My wait times weren't bad, but Dr. Finnen didn't explain anything to me. I was told if I have any vision changes to contact my regular opthalmologist. I get my paperwork on my way out and it talks about myopic degeneration and RPE changes which were never mentioned to me. Additionally, I was told I needed to get a self test to be performed at home daily, but one wasn't provided one. The receptionist said she wasn't notified about it and couldn't provide me with one. When I was leaving, about 9 am, the waiting room were packed. Like standing room only. My appointment was 730 am, so you should probably try and go as early as possible.

Have taken my sister-in-law there for two different eye procedures. Sometimes the wait is about an hour, but mostly get in around 45min after appointment time. I agree a persons time is just as important as the doctors time so the staff should get patients in within 15min of appointment. They have been great up til now. Have been trying to gat an answer on another problem with sis in laws eyes for almost a month. Am told the doctors will consult on it and call us. Same story every week. Getting disappointed, discouraged, disillusioned. All the dis es. Well, I was sent an email to contact the office manager at Midwest Eye. Did so and was made an appointment the next day. Took us back very soon and got to the bottom of the sis in laws problem. Sometimes they just need a reminder. They see so many people sometimes someone may fall through th e cracks, but they ( at Midwest) were right on it. Thanks.

Waited months for an appointment to find out 35 minutes after we were scheduled to be there that the appointment was supposed to take 3 hours. We couldn't even stay do to other obligations that could not be moved. We waited about 3 months for this appointment, and they didn't see a need to tell us the appointment would take this long? I would have never scheduled an appointment in the afternoon 30 minutes from where I live when we have other children who have to be picked up from school less than 3 hours from the appointment time if I had known it would have taken that long. Truthfully I dont know if I should put this complaint here or on a review for IU Riley since that is who handles their pediatric. This is so typical of Riley doctors offices, most have no consideration for their patients time. I am finding out from others that it is no better with the adult side. IU needs to get off their high horse and realize they are not that good and the office time is definitely no more important then than that of the patient/families' time. We are expected to be on time, with the small window of course, why should we not expect the same from our physicians?

Very good experience. Short wait time and Dr. Martin very nice and informative

After research into my husband's particular problem I found that Dr. Thomas Ciulla at the Midwest Eye Institute at North Illinois office was the best. And he is! The progression of the disease has been stopped in it's tracks and prognosis is very good. Staff is great, even though there is a long wait since there is a high patient volume they try to move people along as fast as possible without loosing quality. Thank you everyone at Midwest!

We drive over an hour to get here. They are wonderful people and very good with the kids. Love the staff. They done very well with my child when she had her surgery.

Shell Dunbar

Very efficient, kind and pleasant experience for us. From the registration desk, to the prep and our doctor, as well as recovery, we were well taken care of. Yes, there are wait times, but they provide you with coffee, TV, crossword puzzles, etc...the waiting room is spacious and comfortable. You have to think about all the areas this one place is trying to serve and I think you'll realize they do an amazing job if you think about it. We are from Bloomington and it's a long, stressful drive, but we are thankful to have a specialist to go to with this level of care. 5 stars...well earned.

James porter

We have spent 4 years with Dr. Ciulla and could not be more pleased! We have been comfortable and happy with everyone on staff at Midwest from receptionists to surgeons!!! Eternally grateful, thank you for saving my eyesight.

I take my almost 3 year old son here and have since before he was one year old. He sees Dr. Donaldson. She is an ok doctor, from what we can tell. She isn't as good as the doctor we had when we lived in Nashville, TN and were able to take him to Vanderbilt Eye Institute, but she is what we have to work with. It is almost impossible to get through to their appointment people and it has taken me almost 3 months of calling to get my son his bi-annual appointment scheduled. The people who make the appointments are always abrupt and almost rude and you can never get an appointment any sooner then a month/+. We never get seen at our appointment time because they are generally about a half an hour behind. The good part is that she is a pediatric ophthalmologist and there are only three dedicated pediatric eye doctor's offices in the city. The office has a nice play area for the kids and they have one of only two pediatric optometrist stores in the city. It is also nice that they have an office in greenwood and that the optometrist is right there in their office, that way I'm not driving all over town.

Brooke Karesh

I waited 45 minutes for my appointment and I was a little early.

This is my mother's second visit here again 45 min.and still waiting just found out there are 5 ahead of her still

Michelle Pedigo

No wheelchairs available? Someone definitely needs to keep in mind that elderly people are coming here daily and they dont even make the elevators very wheelchair accessible.

Adam Secrest

Place was Packed. Appointment time was 11:00. We were in by 11:14. Quick and Dr. Patel explains everything perfectly. Great Doctor!

Adam Paugh

We used the pediatric department. It's impossible to get a hold of them on the phone and near impossible to get them to call you back. It seems like they need more help because the place is always packed. When we ordered glasses and we picked them up, we realized they were the wrong ones after we got home and had to make another trip back to get the correct ones. The doctors are great though and they have a great selection of glasses for kids.

Tessa Palmer

My son has been a patient of Dr Sprunger since he was 2 years old. I can’t say enough great things about him! He is very thorough and explains everything well. Yes, we occasionally have to wait, but I think this is to be expected in a specialty pediatric office. Kids are unpredictable! We also love Lana at insight optical.. she has so much knowledge about kids glasses and is also very knowledgeable about insurance benefits! Highly recommend getting your glasses there!

Erin Pennington

Deborah Nicely

Dr Shaw is wonderful. A very pleasant and kind man. He is doing extensive Lazer surgery to both of my eyes in order to save my sight. I thank him most graciously! However, I have to wait in a waiting area for over two hours past my appointment time. People are always waiting at least that long. A woman next to me stated she had been waiting 3 1/2 hours. My time is important too. Appointment times with the same doctor should not overlap.

Lauren Brewer

The place was extremely busy. I waited for over for two hours, and no explanation was given to me. Dr. Troyer was extremely spacey and unhelpful. He did not explain anything to me, even when I asked questions. I wouldn’t waste your time seeing him.

Jason Lackner

Tamara Wiggington

Waited over an hour then complained and was told by staff 2 plus hour wait is normal for me to get use to it. This is WRONG! I understand being on call or behind but you give people the option to reschedule and stop booking people on top of each other.

Brian Wade

A family member found out from our eye doctor that she had a detaching retina. Midwest Eye Institute got her in right away and confirmed there was an issue. The procedure was scheduled immediately. Dr Ciulla has been terrific and so have all the receptionist and surgical staff. Highly recommended!

shyy faith

I had asked questions about things i did not understand and they were not answered. The staff was extremely rude. No explanation and we were there for more than 3 hours.

James Mitchell

They have taken excellent care of my wife's eyes through multiple surgeries. Highly recommend!

Kelli Farrar

Wait times are ludicrous - between 45 minutes and an hour and a half. Have been waiting for two hours today - the facility officially closes in two minutes - and there are still dozens of people waiting to be seen. Shameful.
