I have had three cornea transplant and my eyes are not great. My physician referred me to Dr. Paige For a special contact lens that will allow me to see better. What a fabulous visit! I was there for almost 3 hours and was treated very special. They did everything I needed and more. I am a candidate for the special lenses and have an appointment next week for training on how to install them. I am very excited! Great experience and highly recommend them.

This may be a bit long but I want to explain. I had been having trouble with my eye for a couple of weeks. It got to the point I was starting to make myself extremely anxious and sick. I called up Indianapolis Eye Care Center to see if I could come in for an eye exam. I was told it might be a couple of weeks but then I was asked if it was an emergency. I said I hated to say it was but I was not sure. The woman on the phone listened to my story and was able to make me an emergency appointment for the next day. Next day I get there fill out my paper work and within minutes I was taken back with a young woman who began checking out my eyes. She spent time with me, listened to me, and examined my eyes. She was so helpful in explaining what she was doing and what was going to be done. She put me at ease and calmed me down. She even listened to me ramble on, basically telling her my life story. I am so sorry that I can not remember her name to give her proper credit, because she was awesome. She helped me find out what was wrong, which was such a relief for me. It turned out to be something that was easily treatable, and I left feeling like a weight had been lifted. Everyone there was incredibly nice and put you at ease. They listen and really care about helping you. I hope to be going here from now on.

I was referred here by another optometrist. My experience was horrible! I was told that my insurance would not cover eye exams and that my insurance would also not cover frames. When I tried to speak with them about it, I was basically called a liar. I walked out and called another provider. Turns out my insurance will cover eye exams and frames! Would not recommend this place to anyone!

Recently i went for an eye exam with The Indianapolis Eye Care Center. It was a very carefully conducted exam. It was decided that my eye care had moved to the point of corneal transplants. So Dr. Sutton and his team tracked down another great eye care team that would work with my situation (insurance, etc.). I was very quickly given the necessary details . This was just my last visit, but i have received great care from this location and/or its teams since 2000. Please don't take your eyes for granted, please - go get them looked at by this very professional team.

I have an issue with my eye that reached nearly emergency status for me. I called dozens of the best ophthalmologists in the Indianapolis area explaining the urgency of my situation. All of them were scheduled out for at least two months. When I called here, they could tell that this wasn’t a normal appointment and they treated me as “urgent care” and saw me the next day! They stayed with me during that first appointment after closing time diagnosing and determining how to proceed. So far my treatment has been great and they seem to actually care.

I have gone to the IU Eye Care Clinic for many years and the Interns do a great job and are very thorough, and then the supervising doctors have always reviewed their findings and examined my eyes as well, so I have always felt like I receive a high quality examination. The receptionist staff is always very helpful whether on the phone with questions or in person. When I have had trouble with my eyes, they have always worked to get me an appt. right away and the doctors and interns have worked proactively to solve the concerns for my vision health.

Dr Lucas was succinct, friendly, and answered all my questions with the knowledge and grace that one in her position can provide. Would return! Don't know if it'd be a good thing as I don't need glasses, but it's my go-to place for eyes now! The reception people are very friendly, and they are knowledgeable about what to do and how to go about it in the office. The office professionals brought me in, and the service from the staff is what is going to keep me coming!

This team diagnosed optical rivalry and found eyeglasses that let me function again! All that we can say is that the Indianapolis Eye Care Center LITERALLY saved my Husbands Eye site. He had what we thought was pink eye several years back. The Family physician treated it as pink eye, but it lingered, lingered and lingered for weeks on end until it got so bad that he started wearing an Eye patch because the pain was so bad. After two months of this and several trips back to our Family physician, I called the Practice on a Sunday during their closed hours. Within 30 minutes, not only did we receive a call back from the on-call Eye Physician, they deemed this an Emergency, opened up the practice and had us meet them their within two hours. The diagnosis? A severe Virus had attacked his eye and he would have ended up losing his Eye site in his right Eye had left untreated for only a few more days. Within two days of the initial treatment, the pain dropped drastically and we could clearly tell that his eye was slowly on the mend. They monitored this VERY closely for almost a year since this type of Virus can reoccur without warning and can cause severe damage even blindness if left untreated. They saved my Husbands Eye site in his right eye, no question about it. We cannot say enough good things about the Indianapolis Eye Care center and now our entire Family (grown children, myself) are regular patients that will tell you that if it is a bit of an extra drive, IT IS SOOOOOOO WORTH IT . This was by far the best eye care experience I've ever had. Last year, I went to Lenscrafters and received terrible service where I had to take the glasses back for bubbles which I had to convince were not my doing. But here at Indpls Eye Care, everyone was extremely friendly and the Optometrist was very knowledgeable even more so than other place. I am well pleased with no line bifocal, transition, glasses. Price was $100 plus less and even received a rebate. I love them and wish I had found out about them years ago. But that's okay, I know now and telling everyone I work with here at IUPUI that they are the best eyecare center in Indy!!!!!!
