I find Davis Eye Care Associates to be very professional and caring when it comes to their patients. All of the optometrist are attentive to your needs. All members of the staff are always considerate and respectful, it makes for a pleasant experience whenever I come for my appointments. Jason is exceptionally knowledgeable when it comes to the final aspect of you visit, his professionalism and courtesy is comforting when it comes to choosing which glasses will be best for each individual.

The service that was provided while in office was fair. The girl who helps pick out glasses could have certainly been more friendly. I was not happy with the fact that I paid over $400 out of pocket for my frames and was not notified when they were available for pick up. I had to call and gather information even though I was informed that I would be notified when they arrived.

Awful experience! My family and I will be moving on from this eye dr. There was a strong urine odor in the exam room and the dr never looked at my chart to see what type of script I had last year. The girl who helps pick out the glasses could have certainly been more friendly. she was not helpful at all. Again they just don't seem to care. When I returned to pick up my glasses, After waiting a good 15 minutes, Jason gave them to me. He Asked me to look at a card with letters and sent me on my way. He didn't even make sure they fit properly. Rushing me out of there. I still haven't adjusted to the glasses. Moving on with another dr and staff who cares and has time to answer questions and be more helpful.

I've been seeing Dr. Davis for something like 20 years, and will continue seeing him as long as I'm able to (and as long as he keeps me able to see him). I drive over 10 miles, now, just to continue seeing him for vision care. He's professional, friendly, and takes great care in his practice. I'd recommend him to anyone looking for a new optometrist.

Without discussing any test result or asking me if I had any questions, Robert Davis started to sell products. He saw multiple patients at the same. So although I spent nearly an hour an a half there, I only saw him for about 20 minutes (two thirds of that was selling). It was an annual exam and the actual exam he did on me was marginal, sloppy, and unprofessional. I would not imagine he is an eye doctor based on my experience. In fact, the minute I made it clear that I was no interested in any new products or treatment, he was not interested in keeping me around any more. I got almost nothing out of the exam. A con man and a scam.

I have been a patient for many years and the care Dr. Robert Davis has provided has been wonderful. I have a special condition with my eyes and he is always working to improve my vision and offer something better for me. He takes time to explain what's going on with my eyes and always has time for my questions. Although the time waiting can be fairly long at times, the office is well kept and with friendly staff.

I called them because I needed my prescription emailed to me, they told me I have to send an authorization email and then I will get the prescription. So I did send the email, but I waited 5 hours and everytime I call they tell me to wait for it where are gonna send it now, but they never did. After 5 hours of waiting and calling more than 10 times they tell me "it's not an option to send it through email you have to come in person." Why didn't they say that the first time I called. I wasted my time with them I am never going back there again.

My family, along with myself, have been seeing (get it!!) Dr. Davis (the younger) for decades. In fact, he’s treated two generations of my family, thus far, if memory serves. He and his staff are phenomenal. Entirely professional while maintaining a personal touch. Never have been disappointed nor let down—even in slight emergency situations, when I needed a quick replacement pair of contacts, in a pinch. Cannot say enough good about all of these guys. They’re the best there is, in the Chicagoland area—and beyond!!

Davis Eye Care puts Profits over Patient Care. I lost one contact and the other contact ripped. I called and asked the office for a trial pair to cover me till my appointment. After waiting 2 days for a call back, I was told "NO". I would have to pay for another 2 boxes despite the fact I had an upcoming.appointment.

Started February 2018, I've had the WORST experience with the level of professionalism with Davis Eye Care, since shortly after purchasing two pair of eye glasses from them. My primary pair, I made multiple calls to an employee optical team in reference to the lenses, she suggested I come in to have them look at the glasses. I did make a trip there on a day last in 2018, turn outs she wasn't working that day. All the employee keep saying they experience the same problem with their glasses. The lenses constantly gets direct throughout the day!! I have worn glasses for many years and never had this experience. Then the past two weeks or so I contacted Davis Eyewear again, because the nose pads have caused a discoloration on my nose. I left three messages and never received a return call from anyone. This past Friday 1/18/19, contacted Davis Eyewear again, spoke with the manger of customer service. She stated she'll have someone contact me. Around 9am on the same day, received a call from a lady who works in optical, who was also unprofessional on all levels. I drove to Davis Eyewear to have the rubber resolved on the nose pads. The optical lady who took my glasses then says a metal piece which holds my nose pads is loose, then she tells me my frames and lenses are under warranty. Now they are saying order a new frame. WOW, its now 2019 and my insurance for lenses starts over again. I've contacted them multiple times in 2018 and was constantly ignored. Now they want to discuss ordering a new frame and the exact same frame at that!! Which raises a concern, ordering the exact frame is NOT GOING TO RESOLVE the problem, it's going to place a bandaid on the problem, until the replacement does the same I disagree with the information given to me on 1/21/19 from Davis Eyecare. I report my concerns to the BBB, Davis Eyecare never responded to the BBB complaint. Thankful the manufacturer of my frames help me resolve this matter.

The worst treatment my kids and I got from the eye doctor and his assistant. And 2 out of 3 glasses we got where wrong. They did not even mesure the eye distance. I would not recommend anyone here! Thanks for nothing

I was at the Davis eye care on 95th about three weeks ago to get glasses after the exam I was told it would be one week before my glasses would be back. For three weeks I called two days a week asking if they were ready I was told they were not in and I would be contacted when they came in. well in the third week they said it still wasn’t in I then asked why was it taking so long. The lady on the phone said I’ll let you talk to the optimists when he came to the phone he asked for my name and birthday and went to check. He came back and apologized that they were in and that it had been there for two week. Bad Service I will never go back there Bad Service I will never go back there

The Dr is great the staff is polite but... I had to wait a couple weeks for a appt for my daughter. I called and have them insurance information. Kept my daughter from school just for my husband to get to the appt and was told the insurance is no longer accepted. Very disappointed. And I was told it's 110 for an eye exam. That's how much i pay for eye care associate for contacts. Not worth the 3 week wait on a appt. I understand the insurance part but don't waste OUR time scheduling us in when the insurance isn't accepted.

I have been a customer with Davis Eye Care for almost a decade. They were usually stellar with services and customer service until this last visit. The only issue I had with them were the addtional prices for contact lenses, but everything balanced for the most part . I went for an eye exam in August of 2015, ordered glasses. I still have not received my glasses as of Feb. 2016. I followed up in October and January. No one ever reached out to me to say there was an issue. Its been almost 7 months! And guess how I am accomodated after wearing the same disposable lens for 6 months? With a new pair "that should last a month" until they come in. I have supported and recommened Davis Eye Care for many years and am disgusted at how they handled this situation. Did I get discounted lens or have they make me an order there for the inconvenience, no. And to make matters worse, my left eye is weaker than the right. So what exactly did the eye exam I pay for reveal? A wrong prescription and 7 month and counting wait for glasses. This is how you treat your customers. I no longer support you.

This place commits insurance fraud!!!! They claimed that I ordered contact lenses from them and charged my insurance company when I never did. I bet they do this routinely for other patients as well. Stay far far away from this place!!!

If you would have asked me what I thought about this place a year ago it would have told you I love it the service and the doctors. My feelings towards this place has changed due to the a necessary named Sandy she was extremely RUDE! My family has been coming to this place for years. My mom had called to make an appointment for my siblings and asked if she there was someone available that spoke Spanish, Sandy said no. My mom asked if someone who spoke Spanish would be available any other day because her English is choppy. Sandy kept saying no cutting my mom off. I then translated and tried making an appointment for my sister and every time I tried to speak she would cut me off and would not let me finish my sentence. After she would finally listen and let me speak she asked for my insurance and said we won't take it I said that's fine I would still like to make an appointment. Sandy then began to cut me off saying we are not going to take it I then stated I understand I would still like to make an appointment and would not let me speak. After a couple minutes my mom then called back asked to see when a translator would be available hoping that someone other than Sandy would help her. Again she kept snapping at my mom which I don't know why it was necessary it was just a simple question. I honestly am so disappointed because I loved this place and their selections in glasses I have never had an awful experience with them but I'm truly disappointed!

I really liked the visit here. I took my two toddlers... 6 years old and 4 going on 5. They are very active so I was hoping the visit wasn't too long and it wasn't. Our Dr. was very kid friendly and patient, there were also 2 women who did some more tests and they were nice, everyone was very nice. My daughter doesn't know all of her alphabets and they were able to accommodate with pictures which wasn't an option at some other eye doctors. My babies will be going back next year and I'm going to go there for my next eye exam. Thank you.

I went here years ago and have never gone back. I took my daughter and my son to get glasses and everything was fine till it was time to pick out the glasses. An older man helped us in that area and he was very rude! He practically threw the tray of glasses on the table and said "You have state insurance so this is what it pays for"! I said ok and he walked away. Then looked at some papers and said "oh he has state too" referring to my son. Fine! Started getting annoyed that his tone and attitude were very rude and I'm assuming because I was paying with Medicaid. My son didn't like any of those glasses and I asked the man if he could show us different glasses that were on the shelf and he said "No you have state! State only pays for those"! I said yes I know that! So I went and looked at those myself and this man was no where to be found! He had left for the day and never said anything, just left us in the room until the girl from the front called out to us asking if we were finished. I will never go back!

Never will go here again. Last two times I've come in here the front end clerks have acted snappy and unprofessional - it's been two years so I can't keep catching them on a "bad day". It's too bad because the eye doctor was decent. It's getting past the front end that I don't like dealing with. The last time I was in there they let a candidate have his way speaking to me as if I was an idiot. I had to shut him down politely but thought the staff should have stopped him. I think, he saw because I was a black woman he had the right to campaign me right in front of the doctor to go on to tell me how much he was against liberals who want to give handouts and so forth - sounded more like a subtle way to speak down. I was upset that the staff did not ask him to cease the behavior instead they all snickered with amusement as opposed to saying Mr. Nobody please refrain from appearing to solicit inside our office as not to upset our patients. I was so disgusted because even if a candidate that I "agree" with should not treat a person in that way inside a eye doctor - not the place. Come on...the ladies up front were too dismissive to me for the last time so I have dismissed my self from them. Be alert

Not happy with the service at all front clerk can be a bit snappy not friendly at all. I've been waiting on my glasses for 3 weeks now..... The young lady that help me out with the glasses was very nice and professional. I would even known my lens was on back order so they say if i didn't call the office. Still haven't received my glasses and no dates when they'll be ready.

At first when I got to this place I was like it’s really nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. I place an order on a new pair of glasses. I waited a month for them to come in and that was only because I kept on calling them! I went it to get them and I didn’t like how they tried them on and adjusted them. They were in a rush like here you go, they fit good,? Ok thanks goodbye . Great selection of glasses not so good on the customer service part.

This is the first negative review I have ever given a business :( Doctors: very good, quick and to the point Technicians helping in the eye exam: kind and knowledgeable Office workers: unprofessional, lazy, dishonest Technician/saleswoman who helps you pick your glasses: similar to office workers, but tenfold. Most of my complaints involve her. Background: They installed new lenses on my old frames and transferred the original lenses to an older frame that I had at home (as a backup pair). Main Issues: 1) She BROKE my frames and didn't notify me. I only found out when I got to my (out-of-state) home. The mount for the lens was completely separated from the frame and there were multiple chips/scratches on the frame where they access the lens. 2) She LIED straight to my face on several occasions, saying that they called, texted, and emailed me even when I showed them that the call/text history on my phone totally contradicts that (I didn't have access to wifi to search my email at that moment, but it also came up empty). She told me a specific date and everything. I did confirm that they had the correct number. 3) She refused to take responsibility for even the most blatant transgressions (see #2) and her "solution" was for me to buy my own glasses on ebay and just hope the lenses would fit. Other Issues: 1) Their system for notifying customers when their glasses are ready is non-functional. No calls, texts, or emails received. They refuse to acknowledge this or address it in any way. 2) When they put my old lenses in the second (older) frame, they put them in incredibly crooked and it warps my vision (a sort of fisheye effect) so now that they broke my good frames, I have to wear these ones that they also messed up. Insult to injury. The level of professionalism is astoundingly low and their mishandling of other's property is next to criminal. I will be avoiding this place at all costs.

New patient that met with Dr. Robert Davis 1/9/16 for an eye examination and new glasses. From arrival to departure the entire process took a total of 2 hours and 57 minutes. The friendly office staff was apologetic for the excessive wait time. Then, this happened: My insurance covered said exam and glasses BUT when I received the bill, there was a separate $95.00 out of pocket line item charge for contact evaluation. At NO POINT during the initial paperwork, time with the doctor and various office staff I was disclosed about this separate evaluation nor the additional cost. Very disappointed that I was deceived into this extra charge.

This is the worst office. Fawn is very rude and disrespectful. The front girls do not know what they are doing at all . Raychele the eye tech made me wait along time before seeing the doctor. This is one office that you do not want to go to. I regret not reading the reviews before I made my appointment.

I was referred here by a close friend and my first visit was back in February. Upon my first visit I found out that I had a retinal detachment, they quickly referred me to a specialist and I had surgery within a week. Now almost fully recovered I just went back for my annual and everyone was helpful. Just ordered glasses on Tuesday, I just don't know how long the wait will be to receive them.
