The only reason i didnt give a 1 star review was the staff eas so friemdly and helpful!!! But the prices are outrageous, i left and came to walmart right down the street and saved HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS!!!!!!! They are also taking care of babies behind the countcounter witch is unprofessional

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Nguyen for over 6 years. I love that the office is small and family based. Very happy she moved into the Huntley downtown area. Her staff is fantastic and always so hopeful and friendly. Our whole family gets our annuals here. I feel that we get great personal care and get all our questions answered. She also has some great technology options for addl eye checks. She uncovered an eye bleed due to my unmonitored blood pressure. Once I got that taken care of she was able to confirm the eye bleed had resolved. I recommend her anytime anyone asks for an eye doctor!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Mindy Nguyen for many years. I work in healthcare and know that not every doctor is pleasant, knowledgeable, approachable, and willing to take time to explain things to patients. Lucky for me, Dr. Nguyen has all of these traits. Also, her office has a lot of high tech equipment, and I always get a thorough exam when I'm there. Dr. Nguyen is always pleasant and takes time to explain everything to me. Her office staff is also very knowledgeable and helpful. I have read some other reviews with complaints about purchasing glasses here. Yes, glasses from an optometrist office cost more than Walmart, or any other superstore. However, after every annual eye exam, I am given my prescription for eye glasses. (You are also emailed a patient portal where you can print it out as well). I have the option to get a pair of glasses from her office, or at any other store. It is the patients choice, so if cost is an issue for some, you have the option of getting glasses elsewhere. But as far as getting a thorough eye exam, from a friendly doctor, this is the place you want to go. The office is also super clean, and I never wait more than a couple of minutes. I highly recommend Mindy and her staff. See you again next year. Tom P.

This place should be closed down! They never checked my prescription before my glasses were ready to come in and they took 6 months! Yes... 6 Months for my glasses to come in. When they DID come in the prescription was wrong and when I asked them about getting the right prescription they acted like they were in a hurry and they said it was my fault that my glasses were not right. Since I have been here I have heard from many many people in Huntley about just how bad this outfit really is and if you have any marbles, you will find a reputable eye care place to spend your money at. I cannot stress this enough. You will be sorry you ever knew these people if you deal with them. Furthermore if you have medicaid then they will treat you like yesterdays trash. I cannot recommend this outfit at all and it is best that you DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. You were warned.

Dr. Nguyen is a really caring doctor with a super friendly staff. If you want a quality exam, this is the place to go. I've never been disappointed here. They take good care of their patients.

This doctor needs to go back to school. Her attitude is arrogant and her ability to prescribe is limited. After seeing another doctor in Elgin, and getting proper care and diagnosis, I was able to see how incompetent she is.

Staff is super friendly, and the doctor is very knowledgeable. I have been wearing contacts for about 15 years and previously had always gone to chains like Sam's or Visionworks. After going here, my contact prescription is the clearest it's ever been. She's great at explaining the "why" behind the issues I've had in the past with my eyes too. Very happy I chose to go here, and plan to continue for as long as I live in the area. I can't really comment on price as my contacts are super expensive no matter where I go due to my astigmatism, but I really like that they offered a 10% discount for purchasing a year's supply - nowhere else I've gone has offered that.
