I had A problem with my corneas and doctor king diagnosed it and the follow up was very professional and the staff was just great and in my time of need they were there for me I was totally satisfied and would never go anywhere else.

I truly dislike this clinic, i honestly should even have given them one store. More like a 10% of one star. Since they have humans available. Iwas a patiënt there for decades at Geneva eye clinic, never had the courage to leave. Front desk leaves a lot to be desired. Office manager can’t describe the rudeness. And finally the physician.... Dr Becker is pushing expensive medicines. With myself and my children. He prescribed A bottle of steroids 10 ml which cost only $399 with insurance, in an effort to see if the redness would go away. We ended up with over the counter eye drops for $7.99, after I refused to get this medicine, also no generics are ever prescribed. This clinic is not into helping patients rather to fill their pockets! An elderly couple also was complaining how bad they got treated. I felt sorry for them bc I left , and now go to the Wheaton Eye clinic. It’s huge and doctors are Fantastic here. So glad I finally left there.

Dr Steiner was great and Dr King was great.

About 4 years ago, during my yearly peripheral exam, the examiner found a blank spot in my vision over my left eye. It was recommended that I see an ophthalmologist. My primary doctor sent me to see Dr. Simone at Geneva eye clinic. Dr. Simone was very concerned and did some very extensive testing. Finding nothing out of the ordinary but still very concerned, He had me follow up every 6 months. I think I went back 3 times. The blank spot was still there, but he was still not finding anything significant. I was then advised to follow up only as needed or if it appeared to get worse. I thought Dr. Simone was exceptional. In February of 2016 I developed a very large floater and started having some major flashing in my left eye. I made an appointment soon after to return to Geneva eye clinic. Unfortunately, Dr. Simone had since retired. However, I still believed in the Geneva eye clinic. During that appointment, the assistant did a lot of testing. When the doctor came in, she immediately sat down and started making notes in the chart. She did no further testing. She told me that this was JUST a floater and there was nothing to do and nothing to worry about. When I told the doctor about the flashing during my yearly exam in December, 2016, He did some specialized testing and instructed me to see a specialist immediately. I was told I had an issue that, if not treated , could result in blindness. The specialist treated me and, although the flashing has stopped, will continue to monitor my eye every 6 months. As I was concerned about the treatment I received, or non-treatment in this case, I contacted Geneva eye clinic, just to let them know directly what had transpired in opposed to writing a review. Instead of being concerned about their future patients well being, I was treated with defensive disbelief, apathy and a lecture on eye health and doctor professionalism. I was told that my issue was part of the normal aging process, and yes, under certain situations, could cause blindness, their doctor did the right thing by doing nothing. Since I cannot really make a long story short, just let me say, I will NOT be returning to Geneva eye clinic EVER. I hope this dissertation will save someone else the discomfort and concern I had to sustain over the last 10 months.

Dr King preformed my Lasik surgery. Excellent bedside manner and was a calming influence during the procedure. Top of the line equipment and I noticed the difference almost immediately.

Had an appointment with Dr. King yesterday. Overall, he was a very friendly, competent Doctor. The technician who calculated my eyeglass prescription was also very friendly and knowledgeable. The office is attractive. Overall, a good experience; glad I found them.

Dr. King engaging, listens does an excellent job - from Dr stuff to bedside manner. As for the rest of the staff, they need some work. I am new patient - Did not introduce themselves, did not explain the process. Did not really want to be there. Not unfriendly per se - just a bit cold (and we come from the Northeast US!) Input form waste of time - "Date of Birth?" " Age?" really? Asked questions again...

If you are looking for competent, professional eye care, Geneva Eye Clinic is where you should go. I have received care from Dr. Becker and Dr. King and both are exceptional. Dr. Becker is an expert in uveitis/iritis and Dr. King is a great cataract surgeon. You won't be disappointed.

Deceptive billing practices. I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. I have tried twice to get someone in billing to explain why they coded my exam the way they did; when my insurance said it should be otherwise. They are rude and unprofessional and will over charge you for a 3 minute exam.

Where do I even begin? This was by far the worst experience I have had at an eye appointment. I am at a high risk for glaucoma and need to have a medical eye exam frequently, but our insurance changed and so did all of my doctors. This was the clinic that was recommended to me by primary. The two people who were helpful were the receptionist at the front desk and the optician who had to hunt down the prescription that the tech failed to pass along to her. The doctor had no interest in requesting the 6 years of records that my previous doctor had. My guess is that it was because I was seeing an Optometrist and not an Ophthalmologist. My guess is that it was pride that blocked the doctor from accepting that maybe the Optometrist had something of value to look at. She was just seeing my eyes in a single point in time. For a case of glaucoma, I would guess that seeing a timeline would be much more helpful. I don't know if the tech had the ability to smile. She led me from room to room, and administrated all of my screening. During the field of vision test, I felt her MOVING my chin rest around, then asking me to keep my held still!!! She did the refraction, was one of the quickest refractions I ever had, and told me I no longer have an astigmatism. When she put the prescription into the machine, I could tell that my right eye still wasn't right. Then, as I mentioned before, she didn't give my prescription to the optician. I wish my story ended when I left the building, but apparently their billing department is less than competent as well. I had gotten a call from work saying that my insurance had been declined because the group name was updated and I should have new cards. I called BCBS/IL and thankfully they sorted it out with them. The rep at the insurance informed me that I am using the right card, that the issue is on their end and not mine and that this was NOT my responsibility. GEC called back and it went to my voicemail this time, but not once did they apologize for their mistake. I went and got a second opinion on my prescription, and sure enough, I still have an astigmatism. I also got a different referral for the next time I get my glaucoma checked. Never going back. I wouldn't let them check out my dog's eyes.

Nothing but the best here. Each and every doctor I see, as well as the PA's are great.

My husband, two daughters, and myself have gone to Dr. King at the Geneva Eye Clinic for years. Dr. King has my prescription tweaked perfectly as I had had issues in the past with my vision. I would highly recommend him.

I had an urgent issue with my eye. My physician was able to make an appointment for me with Dr. Hawkins within just a few hours. Upon arriving, I was brought into the exam room so promptly I hadn't even finished all my paperwork. Dr. Hawkins was very thorough. I needed to return for a 24 hours check. The next day I say Dr. Brito. She as well was thorough and personable. At each visit I always felt I was in well qualified, caring hands!

Dr. King saved my sight when I was first diagnosed as diabetic. Almost 20 years later, I still have my sight. That man is a blessing.

I was scratched in the eye by a puppy claw. They were able to get me in the same afternoon, and I only waited about 5 minutes before I was seeing the doctor. Awesome! I paid my $50 copay and was told to come back the next day for a check up. I did. The wait was a little longer, but not bad. I was told to come the following Monday for a final check up. I waited forever this time- like 35 minutes. I, once again, had to pay a copay of $50. My eye healed nicely and their suggestions of eye drops and meds were perfect. So all was said and done. Until I got a bill stating I owed another $50. When I called and asked about it, I was informed that they do not do "follow up" appointments and their policy is to charge for every appointment. So while I can rate the service a three or four star, the policy of charging for every appointment is a horrible policy. I have never come across that at any other doctors' office I have visited. In the future, if and when I need to see an eye doctor for something like this, I will look further than Geneva Eye Clinic.

Be prepared to be cheated!!! I called to request an appointment only if they had a physician who had experience with removing Pterygium and was told that Dr. Hawkins has experience. When I arrived, I told them again that the reason for my visit was to have the Pterygium removed. Dr. Hawkins did a full workup of my eye...dilation et al...only to tell me that she does not have experience removing this and that she can provide me with references. Could have saved myself a whole lot of dollars if they had told me from the get go that she is not able to remove this. Not happy to now be receiving calls for an outstanding bill.

NEVER AGAIN!

Jeffery Stanley

This is the worst eye clinic I have ever been to. They are rude and will bill you for extra procedures that are not needed and/or that they do not even perform during the visit. Also everyone do not accept the "refraction charge fee" they will tell you that your insurance will not cover this and that's a lie. If Geneva eye clinic is on your insurance its covered. Stay far away from this place.
