I've been going here for over 8 years. This is one of the best places to have anything to do with your eye, done at.

New Patients beware!!! INSURANCE FRAUD. They will charge your health insurance under a medical procedure when you come in for a normal eye exam which should be covered under your vision insurance. The receptionist sets it up as a medical evaluation instead of a normal exam that way they can charge your medical insurance 4-10 times more. Something not right about this place will be reporting to BBB. I was in waiting area and heard a lady questioning the billing department about the same thing and why her health insurance was charged, so this is the normal practice apparently. They don't disclose their billing your health insurance either I had to question them when I was leaving. Also if you want to feel like your on a conveyor belt this is the place for you.

I had a very pleasant experience at TVEC. The receptionist was friendly as were the assistant staff and the doctor. I was seen right at my appointment time. Dr. Williams was very thorough with his exam and explained every aspect of it. I enjoyed that I wasn't pressured to purchase contacts or glasses and felt it was more about my eye care than pushing product. I will definitely be going back for my exams.

We have been visiting Treasure Valley Eye for years. My kids always get great care. I have started going too and think it's a definitely quality of life boost to take care of my eyes and get some needed reading and driving help. Staff is wonderful and professional

I really like Dr. Christensen. He is genuine and listens to your concerns. The receptionists are also fantastic and go above and beyond.

I came in at the appointed time and was promptly greeted and processed into the system. I waited under five minutes and was taken back to the exam room. An assistant did an initial assessment. She was very nice and professional. Then came Doctor Williams who does his exam and all's right with the world and even gave me the prescription indicating 20/20 vision I can take to the DMV. Thanks for alleviating that concern! The bill just came in after prompt and correct processing (they ran all the traps to collect and United Health did a good job of not messing about). I called Marcy to pay my co-pay and she was just as nice as everybody else there. This is a good office -- professional, motivated, organized and efficient. I highly recommend them.

A patient seems like have to get all the tests that they suggested since you don't have a clue that it's necessary or not. In the end, they just said that you would make decision on what you must do on your eyes. We need the expertise to give us a professional advice after having a lot of expensive tests, but the way they said it's OK both way - leave your eyes alone or doing an operation. Your insurance and you ends up with a large bill for a bunch of tests that you received but not knowing the benefits of these tests.

Be very careful, their front office does not validate your insurance and they will bill you as a medical clinic visit ($300 for an eye exam). I had VSP that would have covered it had they verified it and told me to wait an extra week. As someone who works close to medical billing, I bear some responsibility in this, however it is a standard practice to verify insurance prior to the appointment. Shame on me for assuming they had it together. After the appointment, they said "your VSP does not renew until next week, but we can bill your Tricare, it should cover it." Not so much. Got a bill for the $150 that Tricare didn't cover. They bumped it down to $99 for an eye exam, which is better, but I shouldn't have gotten a bill in the first place. Lesson learned, won't go back. If all you need is an Rx for glasses, save your $$ go to Costco, Walmart, pretty much any where but here.
