I had an excellent experience from my first appointment to my last. I never had to wait long and was always treated great. I was legally blind when I first walked in there. ( I couldn’t see across the street, it as like looking thru wax paper!) I was examined by Dr. Lamers and he diagnosed me with cataracts and set me up to see Dr. Johanna Jensen (here by known as Dr. J ) for surgery at “Idaho Surgery Ctr.” Where I was taken care of and Dr. J did her magic ……..twice. I now see 20/20! Colors are vibrant and everything is clear! To all who are apprehensive about surgery “ when I first heard about it I said…They want to do WWHHHAAAAT???????” . Trust me it sounds wwaaayy worse than it is. To: Big Don, Dr. Lamers, Cindy, Dr. J and everyone else at both offices. THANK YOU Rick

Been trying to get a yag procedure done since Oct. 2017. Scheduled over a month ago had records sent over. Went to appointment to have the very simple and short procedure done. After being there from 2:15 till 3:30 they tell me they want to reschedule. This is after they dilated my eyes. Someone else took prority, now I get to wait. You can not trust Jensen Eye Clinic to abide by their word. UPDATE: Turned Jensen Eye Assoc. in for Medicare Fraud. They did bill my insurance. Now checking with my supplement insurance.

I had my first appointment yesterday with Dr. Lamers and thoroughly enjoyed meeting him and the entire staff. I love the fact that this is a SMALL clinic without a crowded waiting room. I dread eye appointments but the entire Jensen Eye Clinic staff worked to put me at ease, explain everything and make it as pleasant as possible. The optician listened to what I wanted in frames and promptly found three possible frames that met my criteria. Dr. Lamers explained his philosophy of 20/happy, meaning if I don't feel ready for cataract surgery, he's good with that. I recommend this clinic, even though it is a bit out of the way for me (I live in Ada County).

My children have been patients here for 5 years and no issues. In the past two months however I have missed 2 appointments that I had to preschedule weeks in advance. I was assured both times I would get a reminder call. Never received a call. I understand I am the one who makes these appointments but as a single working mom I rely on reminders to help keep my schedule on track. Every other appointment in the world gives courtesy reminder calls. I cannot continue to wait another several weeks to reschedule again. I will just find another doctor. Disappointed

I went to Jensens a few years ago and everything went great i decided to go back this year and I'm starting to regret it Dr Lamer did my eye exam and them with out talking to me he just decided what I wanted for me then when I asked about contacts he rolled his eyes and took me back in the exam room so he could play with his laptop then he sent me out to another person to pick new glasses I just wanted the lens changed. It took a month to get my glasses back. I called 2 times in the 4 weeks and they told me they where not in when I was done waiting my girlfriend called a week later and they told her that that they have been ready for 3 weeks now I have been waiting almost 2 months for my contacts and I how have a bill from them an they cant explain why!

I could not tell you if the doctors are any good I didn't make it that far. I showed up for my appointment and after trying to manage their poorly marked parking lot I find out they have more than one office there. The second incorrect office I went into at least could tell me I needed to go to the office across the parking lot (the building with no sign). That would have been nice to know when I made the appointment. At this point I was to disgruntled with the disorganization and just left. I wont make another appointment with them.

Very quick and easy visit with no wait past appointment time. The exam itself was helpful and the doctor performing it was extremely informed and answered any questions I had.

Awful service. Never go here for an emergency call. My wife had a detached retina and they did not find it. Doctor brings small kids in to office and can't properly do her job. Do not risk your visual! Go somewhere reputable! Office staff is rude as well.

Very welcoming and accommodating. Both I and my husband have been patients for almost a decade. My husband is a Diabetic and Dr. Johanna Jensen took the time to explain the dangers of having high sugars. I highly recommend these doctors!

I am very disappointed with Jensen Eye Associates. Dr. Lamers, who has been my family's eye doctor for over 10 years moved to this office after Shopko closed. The first time I called to schedule an appointment with them, the receptionist was extremely rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. I said I would call back to schedule thinking I would find another place. However, I decided to give them another try. I just called and the lady was nice but while I was talking said "hold on" and I'm not sure if I was placed on hold or what, but she never came back. I redialed and she answered, apologized, and took my information. After giving the information I was told only 2 members of the same family can be scheduled on the same day as it is the office policy. Ridiculous!! I don't have time to take off work to take my two boys in and then take off work another day to get me in as well! Just so disappointed. I will be going to another eye care center where the patients are priority.
