I went to see Dr Chang a few weeks ago because I've been having trouble with my eyes. He was very kind and knowledgeable, he did several tests and we narrowed down the issue. I was prescribed new glasses with a special blue light blocking capability, this will help the strain of my eyes since I'm looking on the computer for several hours a day for work. Finally, his staff was very friendly, I felt very welcomed at the office. Mahalo Dr Chang and staff.

Great doctor! I suffered with severe eyes dryness for several years. I went to several doctors and none made the correct diagnosis. When I went to doctor Chang he took time to listen to me, he made the correct diagnosis and prescribed me the correct medication. I improved significantly and now I am pain free. Dr. Chang positively changed my life.

They have enough equipment to diagnosis well and are good at triage. The day after my first visit at 8:00 AM i was operated on. I imagine the doc had to get up earlier than planned to do it. Doing what needs to be done is a great thing. I do wish I had clearly been told to have a little caffeine and alcohol prior to the laser op to make me as relaxed as possible. And, I really should have been given two bottles of eye-drops as I mentioned I was almost surely going to move to the Big Island. But, that is small stuff. (5 star for the Hawaiian islands but might be 4 star vs the top clinic in Miami).

I recently visited Dr. Ken Chang at Eye Doctors Hawaii for the first time to renew my vision prescription. His facility and equipment were all state of the art. He used multiple ways to precisely diagnose not just my astigmatism but also the beginning of cataract on my left eye which explained why my vision on that eye could never be completely corrected. Also, after doing a routine dilated exam to look at my retina he also used a special contact lens to get a 3D image of a portion of the retina that had a small tear. Now, that was really cool !!! You don't see that at your other eye doctor's office. Aside from his use of technology and depth of knowledge as ophthalmologist (an MD physician who trained with the best on the east coast) I really appreciated that he really took the time to address each problem of my eyes diligently and explained to me in plain English. Even though I was the his last patient of the day and he was probably tired Dr. Chang showed that he was very patient and caring. I highly recommend Dr. Chang as your eye doctor !!!

If you live in Hawaii Kai Dr. Chang should be your Eye Doctor! If you live in Honolulu Dr. Chang should be your eye Doctor! and if you live on OAHU Dr. Chang should be your Eye Doctor! Being in a military family that is in constant transition you go through your fair share of Eye Doctors and Offices and Eye Doctor Hawaii has set a high bar for client expectation. Convenient location! Friendly and welcoming staff who know you by name and face! never have any issues scheduling appointments! The office environment is welcoming, stylish, clean cut with state of the art equipment, and it just feels like your in a brand new space everytime. Dr. Chang takes care of my family and in 2018 and 2019 my mother underwent two super successful cataract removal surgeries! she is literally seeing 20/20 in both eyes! a dramatic difference and no more expensive glasses! He really is that good! I would say if your looking for someone who cares about their patients, will patiently answer all of your questions, work with you financially to make it happen, and has a sense of humor then Dr. Chang is the man and Eye Doctor Hawaii is for you. I have to say the day we depart this Island we will truly miss our Eye Doctor! Dr. Chang and his staff are a blessing and the Aloha spirit is present at this location.
