4 Plus Hours for a simple Glaucoma Screening. Very Disappointing, went there based on a co-worker recommendation. As a first time patient, the earliest appointment I could get was in 2 months that should have told me to go else where. I had a 1pm appointment for a simple Glaucoma Screening. I got there 20min early and filled out the paper work. I saw other post on how SLOW they are and it is TRUE. 45 min to place in a room, 30 min before the Tech came in to do the basic Eye chart, performed an Auto-refactor test - Not required or Covered by Insurance. Next Dilated my eyes and had to sit in a bright window waiting area for another 1 hour. moved me to another room for 30 min before the doctor finally came in. After meeting the Doctor, that had me wait another 30 min before walking me to the Check out desk to pay for the visit. I asked about scheduling my next visit and the person at the desk just brushed it off and told me call want I was ready. I received a $450 bill which included a Eye Glass Prescription that they never wrote me. Be sure to read the sign at the front desk about procedure that is not covered by insurance but they will be happy to preform without informing you that they are doing it. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM.

Dr Loft is definitely a five star professional. He is always attentive and easy going. Great visit. Thanks.

While I think the doctor was competent, I didn't like the assembly line feel of this office. I felt as if everyone is in a hurry and you are rushed through as fast as possible without any time to ask questions. It is a very large office so I do appreciate number of patients but perhaps if they took a few minutes to spend with the patient should there be concerns.

Horrible wait time!!! 2 hours after my appointment before i was called in than another 2 hours inside for just a eye exam. also horrible customer service.

Aurora Tsai

I requested a routine annual eye exam that is covered by my insurance. when i got the bill, my insurance said it wasn't covered because Dr. Levine had diagnosed me with "dry eyes", even though he did not prescribe anything or give me any official diagnosis paper. When I called Tina to have it changed, she didn't respond to any of my messages. When I finally got her on the phone, she did not do anything to help me whatsoever and simply implied it was my problem. When I asked her why she didn't check to make sure the visit was covered by my insurance, she said that wasn't her job. Even if this is true, I think it is extremely deceptive to patients.

Dr Levine and Fabrizio are outstanding doctors! Levine has been my eye doctor for 15 years. This group was the first to recognize that I was at risk for glacoma and took active steps to prevent it and save me from future trouble. Fabrizio specializes in glacoma and did a laser proceure on me today that went great without any issues.

I struggled post cataract surgery x2 with eyesight that was not as clear as I would have liked for seven years! I would leave my annual check-up with my opthamologist saying I was not seeing very well and he would simply tell me that he would see me next year. How fortunate for me that Dr. Geoffrey Broocker, professor of Opthamology at Emory University spoke to my OLLI Life Long Learning class about what happens to our eyes as we age. He is so approachable that I asked him after his lecture/discussion for a referral and he highly recommended Dr. Evan Loft, “one of my best students.” My relationship with Dr. Loft has been so very rewarding and successful. He listens, he informs, he cares and, most importantly, he used his YAG laser to ever so easily (easy for me, I cannot speak for him!) treat both eyes for “capsular opacity” post cataract surgery. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Loft and his fine team for treating me as a person of value and worth. And I will be forever grateful for the clarity with which I can now see. I have been able to resume reading and to renew my passion for bead weaving jewelry with the tiniest of little beads. Thank you for helping improve my life, Dr. Evan Loft.

I'm extremely grateful to be a patient of Dr. Mohney. He is second to none and has kept my eyes healthy and my vision at it's best through normal aging and wearing of contacts, etc. He was highly recommended by my internist who only trusts her eyes to Dr. Mohney. The treatment of patients in this office is first class.

I had a lovely experience. This company is truly a blessing from God. I pray the peace and blessings of God be with Dr. Hamilton, Diane and the staff

Thos office messed up my husbands eye. He lost it in a accident and the doctor who done his surgery in this office did it wrong and kept telling him it was fine and healing great when his orbit is actually coming out of his eye socket. They did a second surgery and it still looked the same when the surgery was over and he still said he fixed it and everything looked wonderful. The prostices wouldnt touch him for a new eye and refered us to another doctor. The new dr. Is so upset about the work done on my husbands eye and said that he was the 4th person to come from eye consultants of atlanta and all 4 patents have had the same dr dr.ghaiy please don't let him work on you please go some where else

Great service the staff was amazing and helpful. The doctors there knew exactly what they were talking about. I'm pleased with the results from my exam. I definitely recommend eye consultants thank you

I have been seeing Dr. Pau for a few years now. He is cordial and very good at what he does. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a glaucoma specialist

Finally had to leave two hours after my scheduled appointment time without being seen. The appointment was for 8:40 AM. How can you be two hours behind when you have not even been open for that long? And the staff was beyond rude and unapologetic.

Love the office!!!! Especially dr Mohney and Sunny.....so competent and caring!!!! I wish every doctors office was like this one!!!! Please dr Mohney... don’t retire too soon. I always need to SEE you! Jill Walsey

I had changed my office for eye care a while back and I couldn't remember why. Today I scheduled a same day appointment and I instantly remembered. The office staff at this location is unprofessional and rude. My physician is Dr. Levine and he always meets my expectations but the office manager for this site really needs to spend time training the front desk on customer service. If you can bare the cackling and the inappropriate dress give this location a try.

We have been coming to this office almost 3 years once a month never have had a problem until now that the Dr we was seeing has left we have sit waiting to see Dr for 2 hours now. Almost 2 hours to get here. But what can any one do about especially when you are only giving to choice of Dr here or another state. So that allows Dr to do as the please so my rating is NOT what it use to be

I went to Eye Consultants in the Cumberland office to pick out and order my first pair of progressive lens glasses. Although I ended up canceling my order (because this office is out of my insurance company's network), the help I got there was exemplary and amazing. Specifically, Asher Galloway. He was patient, knowledgeable, and informative. He made the whole experience a pleasure. If this office were in my network, they would be my office of choice for life.

Antonio Mcphearson

Dr. Roach is the best. You do have to wait for an extended time to see the doctor. However, Dr. Roach NEVER rushes through his examination time with you. I've been a patient for 10 years now.

Janice Blanchard

Dr Mohney is absolutely the best! I wouldn't consider going anywhere else!

Although this office is busy, the doctors are very patient and thorough.

My husband sees Dr. Lee who is quite competent with a good bedside manner. The back office staff are rude, abrasive and unprofessional. As a doctor myself, the first thing I was taught is to introduce yourself to the patient. Chrissy (because I read her name badge) does not even attempt to do this which is basic clinical etiquitte. She is rude and needs to work away from patients. Patients and their loved ones should be treated with respect and care all of the time....this is not an option. Dr. D

Everyone I came into contact with was very professional and friendly. I had a very thorough exam and felt like I was in good hands!

Christian Benitez

Dr Halpern staff are very rude and unprofessional, I took my wife for a refraction, and the lady who does the refraction messed up with the measurements, when she wrote down the prescription, she put the measurements from the left to the right and the one on the right put it on the left, so when the glasses arrived my wife couldn't use the glasses at all. So, I went back trying to have the prescription square away and the receptionist was careless of my claim and gave me an appt within 3 weeks, not only they screwed my wife's prescription they aren't willing to help you at all. So they don't take ownership of their own mistakes......PLEASE BEWARE.

Billie Chriss

Great experience. The lasik was quick and easy. Done on a Friday, back to work on a Monday.

Charles Ulbrich

Great place, got me in the same day. I was diagnosed with shingles and some of was in my eye. They were helpful professionals, who made me feel taken care of. Great crew

Chad Guay

They demand that patients pay upfront for services that are 100% covered by insurance and then refuse to pay us back after it was verified insurance paid the full amount. They are crooks!!! Please give us our money back. You have already been reported to the state

Mark Beebe

First time visiting Eye Consultants of Atlanta. The lady at the front desk was very good at her job and processed me very quickly. Daniella was my technician and she took good care of me and was able to answer every one of my questions. She was very professional and friendly. My doctor was Dr Pau. He was very professional and wasted no time with my examination. He too answered all of my questions. I would recommend ECA to everyone

I am VERY dissatisfied with the lack of professionalism at the Cumberland office-Michael Carp, office manger and Tina, whatever her suppose to be title is. I have been trying for months (since August 2017) to get my Mom's account straightened out and it's like pulling hens teeth to get them to return your call, let along talk to you intelligently. VERY RUDE, poor attitude, lack communication skills and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!.. BEWARE, if you decide to choose this location, WHATEVER FORM YOU FILL OUT, BE SURE TO GET A COPY OF IT THAT SAME DAY, especially if you have become Medicare eligible. This office staff is awful!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE TO ANYONE UNTIL THEY CLEAN HOUSE!!

Deborah Husser

I had Dr Wong. She is amazing and is very in tune to the patient trying to save my vision as quickly as she can. I was in and treated very quickly.

I don't ever leave bad reviews but I felt this one was necessary. To start, the receptionists were incredibly rude, not just to me but to other patients. My appointment was at 9:30am, and I didn't get taken back until 10:15. All they did was put eyedrops in, then put me in another waiting room for 45 minutes. When I asked why it was taking so long, they said it's because they're a 'specialty office'. I understand appointments might take more time, but that's different than being late. Definitely was not a 'warm' environment.

Very efficient and friendly. Only took a fraction of the time to see the specialist -compared to other places.

Ralph Thomas

My wife and I have been very pleased with the service we have received from the staff. Over multiple visits we have not experienced any negative issues. We find the staff to be courteous, friendly and efficient. Yes, we sometimes have to wait past our appointment time, but a small inconvenience in exchange for excellent care. Quite frankly, I am surprised that anyone would have reason to post any negative comments.

Barbara Toner

The care at this place is warm, personal, and professional. If you need serious retinal/eye care, put this at the top of your list.

Bruce d'Agostino

For the past 15+ years, I have been given the most professional, friendly and up to date care for my eyes and Glaucoma, including successful Laser treatments . The doctors and staff have always been friendly and I am seen at my appointment time. Bruce D.

The Tech was very sweet and efficient. She went an extra mile and was sincerely courteous. I even had fun learning about the eyes as I gazed at my results from their advanced equipment. Dr Stephen Hamilton is a great doctor and he keeps it 100 and that is why I would highly recommend them!

I’ve been to this office multiple times over the years for a few different issues. While wait times are high, the doctors always responded with the appropriate type of urgency - even calling me from their personal phone or meeting me in the office on the weekend during an emergent issue. Honestly, I was impressed that they would go above and beyond there. If you owe the office money after a procedure, they’re really quite flexible and will even hold off sending to collections if you can make at least a $5 payment each month. I was extremely impressed with this. That being said, if you have a balance on the account, and have a major life event (such as surgery and are afterwards unable to work or pay even the basic bills) and can’t make payments, they’ll send it to collections after 3 months of nonpayment. Not exactly the best policy, but not something that is unheard of. What earns them the single star is how they treat you after that. Susan, the person you speak to about billing for the location, will from there treat you like a reprehensible human being - because in her eyes $5 a month is the most reasonable thing she’s heard of and she clearly feels there is absolutely no reason that couldn’t be achieved. It doesn’t matter how extenuating the circumstances are. You will get zero empathy from her, and will be completely barred from seeing any doctor until the balance is paid, even if the situation is urgent. If you try to provide feedback, she will talk over you and reiterate how reasonable the $5 a month option is. If you swear even once out of frustration, she will spend the rest of the time talking over you. She cares not about the circumstances, only that the balance is paid. And if she deems that you are the kind of person who misses payments because they don’t want to pay? Don’t expect any kind of civility. I understand that they have to be cut and dry as a business, and all debts should be paid. But to have such a contemptuous response to a patient who had fallen on hard times? I’ll take my business elsewhere.

The doctors are excellent, just excellent, but some of the staff is horrendous and rude. The Cumberland office has a woman named Tyra who works the front desk, and she is ignorant and rude. When she asked if my insurance had changed, I said yes, I now was on COBRA. She said they don't accept COBRA. She has no idea that COBRA is a law and has nothing to do with insurance. Yesterday I was scheduled for an appointment with Dr. Roach for an eye exam, and there was going to be a wait between one and two hours. I have had to wait two hours in the past to see the doctor. I found my insurance coverage with VSP and told her that is the coverage I had, and she said, "We don't accept VSP." So then I looked online for a nearby office that accepts VSP and went back to the front desk where a supervisor now was. I told them it says right here that Eye Consultants of Atlanta on Cumberland Blvd. accepts VSP. The supervisor said another doctor there, Dr. Patorgis, accepts it. I pointed to Tyra and said she just told me you don't accept it. Tyra then shouts, "Don't point at me!" Why this office allows these rude people to work there, I have no idea. Dr. Ghaiy has operated on my eye, and he is wonderful. Drs. Patorgis and Roach are so nice and caring. It is just the staff, time and time again, that I have trouble with. The staff on Patorgis's side of the office were wonderful as were the opticians. Yesterday Asher, that's the man's first name, fixed the arm that had broken off a pair of my glasses, and today after I got a new prescription from Patorgis, Gaye Bryant spent loads of time helping me find glasses that suit my style and budget. The doctors and opticians are wonderful. I have experienced rude staff at this office a few times. I have no idea why Eye Consultants doesn't fire the rude employees.

Came to this office for cornea surgery. Initially, I was very impressed with Dr Loft and appreciated his good bedside manner. From there, things slowly went down hill. While I was waiting to have my surgery, I overhead several surgical staff complaining about how the surgical center was being run - running out of necessary supplies, doctors not thoroughly reviewing patient information pre-op, etc. This struck me as highly unprofessional, but I proceeded with the surgery anyway. Post-op my recovery took MUCH longer than it should have. Pre-op, Dr Loft told me I would be able to resume normal activities in 3-5 days. In reality, it would take more than 2 months for me to get back to that level of functionality. Staff were very dismissive of my symptoms and, at times, seemed annoyed when I would call in because I was concerned about my slow recovery. Eventually, I switched to another practice to complete my post-op care, and I AM SO GLAD I DID!!! The doctor I have now was able to correctly diagnose why my eye was not healing, and in the span of 2 weeks accomplished what Dr Loft and his team could not do in 2 MONTHS. Bottom Line: I would not recommend this practice. Although I think Dr Loft is a very nice and pleasant person, he was not knowledgeable when it came to managing my post-op symptoms/recovery. As for the staff, some of them are nice, but overall professionalism is lacking.

Delma Ware

I was a little apprehensive about the eye surgery, Dr. Loft and his staff put my mind at ease. Dr. Loft is an awesome eye doctor and surgeon. The staff was very professional, friendly and courteous. I would definitely recommend Dr. Loft and his staff for your eye care needs.

I was having a somewhat urgent issue with one of my eyes and wanted to be seen sooner rather than later. I described the issue over the phone to one of the nurses and she was able to get me in the very next day! ( most places couldn't see me until August) I was given an appointment with Dr. Frank who I had never met before. Not only was Dr. Frank incredibly knowledgeable, he also had a great bedside manner - easy to talk to and seemed like he cared. ( a rare combination these days!) This was my first time at Eye Consulants of Atlanta and I found the whole staff to be pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend this practice to anyone seeking quality eye care and I commend the person(S) who had the foresight to add Dr. Frank to this practice...top notch!

New patient with first appointment of the day. Got there early and left 12 minutes after my appointment time because the technician was still not there. In my experience, some doctors offices do not care whatsoever about keeping appointment times. Eye consultants of Atlanta seems to be one of these offices. If you believe in customer service, did not do business with this company.

I want to thank Dr. Levine and his staff for the great service that I receive every time I am in their office. I do truly miss not seeing Bobby Jean in the office. I pray that she is doing well. See you next year.
