This place is a joke!! The optical department seems to have nothing to do with the doctors and vice versa which is frustrating. I waited over 2 hours to see the doctor. Katie who did my fitting was hard to work with to say the least. My prescriptions were all messed up! Even though my vision had changed I had to just go back to my old prescription because she couldn’t find anything that worked (and didn’t really try). Getting more than one free sample was putting them out. Wanted to try bifocal contacts she balked about that. Tried colors and she only let me try two colors one green in one eye and one blue in another and made me throw them out in the trash in front of her. Like I was wanting to get a free pair of color contacts, without correction and with with one green and one blue eye. Wouldn’t let me take home to let my husband see. Told me I could just take a pic. Omg. It was CRAZY! I was so fed up with her I went to Costco and bought my lenses there and they ordered 3 pairs on colors for me to try that I didn’t get to try with her. A few months later after wearing reading glasses every day I said to heck with it. I’m going to insist they let me try a pair of bifocal contacts. She waited a week to call me back and told me then I would have to come in for another fitting. I called the manager John or Jeff in optical. He was almost as bad. Told me I would have to pay 10$ to get a trial pair because I should have ordered from them. I said well I will buy where I can get the best price. Needless to say I will not be going back to this place. I’ve been a patient for a few years but this was the last straw.

Doctor was ok. Front desk and may have been office manager not good PR. Sorry to say but a complete (???) tried to explain that I was not getting glasses but she said I had to pay for prescription anyway. I was sent there by the VA.

I live in Pensacola, FL and Marietta, GA. My Opthamologist is in Pensacola but since I spend the majority of my time in Marietta. I decided to visit Atlanta Eye Consultants. The office personnel were very nice. After soaking my insurance for field vision test and the like, it was time to see the doctor. Weltz, upon seeing my Pensacola address, gave me a very brief cursory exam and made it very clear he had no interest in having patients that were not local. He needn't worry. I will not be going back.

Filled out paperwork ahead of time. This saved so much of my time. Everyone was very professional and polite in the office. Dr. Weltz was very nice and took time to explain what he was doing and the results of what he saw. I was called back in an appropriate amount of time. Very happy with the process. I would recommend Dr. Weltz to family and friends. The young lady out front where you order glasses went out of her way to help. She was very kind and patient in choosing new glasses.

I was so delighted to have such thorough treatment by Dr. Weltz AND his assistants. The assistant who saw me prior to seeing Dr. Weltz took the time to explain and provide great insight and helpful information about my eyes which I did not know, e.g. dry eyes treatment and OTC medications. I have been using the wrong product for several years which made my dry eyes worse. I felt like I had received a tutorial and now have much more understanding of my eye problems. This was my first appointment and I was so impressed with Dr Weltz. He was a good listener and answered all my questions about my cataracts and surgery.
