I saw Dr. Guyassadin who was good and I had a pleasant experience. However, the practice itself is suboptimal. They charged me the cost of a visit simply to hear the results of my MRI, which is ridiculous. The imaging center where I had the MRI done even said that most offices will simply tell you the results over the phone, yet the practice refused to tell me my results over the phone and made me pay for a visit. Their claim was that my insurance requires an in-person visit, yet I've had imaging done before and was always given my results at no additional charge. In addition, the front desk staff were consistently rude and abrasive. In the most recent visit a receptionist made a racist joke and then laughed like it was normal. Will not be coming back here again.

Review about Dr. Derickson ONLY. I had seen Dr. Derickson when he had his own practice and I was very happy with the glasses I had gotten from him. It was one of the most comprehensive exams I had ever had. At that point my vision was 20/800, so it was important that my glasses be perfect. For the last 4 years I have been dealing with numerous eye surgeries, and have mostly lost the vision in one eye. When it was finally time to get fitted for glasses I went back to Dr. Derickson, even though he had joined the Nicolitz Eye Group. When I saw him this time he was barely in the room 5 minutes, as his staff had done most of the eye exam. It was the most cursory eye exam I have ever had. Before he left I told him I needed to go over the measurements for the Progressive lens that I was getting. I wanted to go over exactly how I used my glasses, and have him measure the distance between where I usually read and where I use the computer. He ignored me and left the room! Of course when my glasses came in I was unable to read with them. So I went back to them and chose to see Dr. Crofton. She was amazing, spent a long time going over how I used the glasses, did careful measurements and took the time to make sure my needs were met. Remember, I now only have vision in ONE EYE and that one lens has to be perfect! I was very happy with the visit and they are redoing my lens. Their optical department is overpriced but the techs there are very good.

She has even gone so far as to ask me to measure how far my computer screens are from my face so she can best address my specific issues. A few days ago I tripped over a root by my front stairs and landed on the bridge of my nose and ended up with a bad black eye. On Thursday, June 21st, I had my 3-week recheck with Dr. Amy Kulak. What a delightful caring individual. Initially, I was met by the ladies in the front office who were most pleasant and cordial. Then there was Kelly. What a delightful and knowledgeable young lady. I advised Dr. Kulak that it felt like a huge thumbnail in my left eye. No thumbnail - only an eyelash and makeup debris. After what I considered a very thorough eye exam, she gave me a thumbs up as a result of bilateral blepharoplasty. She will follow up in about 3 weeks for final recheck. I booked a contact lens exam. I was told $180 at the front desk. After my eyes were dilated, the doctor comes in and tells me it's $90 more for a contact exam. I used to see Dr. Derrickson's old practice, and they gave me several options to try before I bought to ensure I had the right contacts I asked for this again because I want to switch to daily lenses. Not only did the doctor refuse, she insisted I stay in the same brand. They were out of my sample power, so she just decided to finalize my Rx. $270 and all I have to show for it is 2 Rxs. Never met a more unprofessional and shady clinic in my whole life

I had a brow lift and a blasphthopy eye procedure done on July 2 , 2014 . the brow lift lasted approximately 3 months and then it was the same as it was before the procedure was done . when i went back for 3 month checkup the Dr. had the audacity to ask me what i thought went wrong . LOL I replied im not the surgeon you are . Long story short he said he would be more than glad to redo it but i would have to pay again . like i would let him near me again .and to top it off ,as soon as i got home my daughter had to call a ambulance because they had OD me and had to have a injection from the EMS to be revived . so mine was not for cosmetic purposes . i had lost my peripheral vision and therefore it was medically advised to me by my optometrist .so think twice please .

I have been sitting here going on over 2 hours and 30 minutes, and they still haven't seen the Dr. This place is a mismanaged cluster, well you know, they don't respect a patient's time at all. Maybe they provide good care but you shouldn't spend 9a to noon on 3 eye tests and to get your results.

I came here to Nicolitz as a 2nd opinion from another place as I felt something just didn't feel right and didn't want to have the surgery. After meeting with Brandy in the office, she put my mind at ease. She was with me the entire appointment, thru all the tests as well as my follow-up appointments and I think that is how it should be. She is aware of the progress I've made and knows my history. I felt comfortable enough to select this office to do the surgery. Being as blind (nearsighted) as I was, Dr. Gayasaddin put my mind at rest and completed the surgery to remove cataracts and correct my vision. I have been using Nicolitz Eye Consultants for years. My eyes had been getting worst every year prior to going to Nicolitz and being diagnosed with Glaucoma. After initial treatment my eye pressure was quickly brought under control and I have not changed my eye glass prescription for at least 4 years. The entire staff is extremely professional and friendly. They have even worked with me on prescriptions cost as my insurance changed coverage. I also use their hearing specialist. Highly recommended.

I have been sitting here going on over 2 hours and 30 minutes, and they still haven't seen the Dr. This place is a mismanaged cluster, well you know, they don't respect a patient's time at all. Maybe they provide good care but you shouldn't spend 9a to noon on 3 eye tests and to get your results.
