This is my third time here at the Towson mall and Eddie has been absolutely professional, courteous and just a joy each time. He has helped my family and I with our vision needs and we are all pleased with his service. The location here is ideal. In the mall on the bottom floor next to Nordstrom Rack. There is a strong chemical smell in here from when they make the lenses. Employees don’t notice it but it triggered my asthma. I was told by the manger James to “just deal with it.” I did. I called their corporate offices about the lack of ventilation and took my money somewhere else.

I always receive great customer service when I come in here, from my eye appointments, to getting my frames tightened when needed! Today, Jaida tightened my frames for me. She was so pleasant and the process was quick and easy, I didn’t have to spend the whole afternoon waiting around!

Only came here bc they take my insurance. Big mistake. My lens popped out the day I got them so I just kept them in the case and used them as emergency glasses. Now they are all I have and both lenses pop out constantly. Both lenses pop out at least 5 times everyday and every morning I have to blindly wrangle them back from where ever they have fallen. If I look down, laugh, run, or put them down on a surface the lens is gone. And obviously I can’t see to find them. I wish I had invested my money into a better company.

Just picked up my order of acuvue oasys transitions. LOVE THEM!!!! They are so comfortable I can wear them for 16 hours looking at a computer screen and not have a problem. The sun doesn't bother me while driving anymore either. The amazing staff at the towson branch was so helpful if I could I'd give 6 stars!!!!!!

Awesome staff! Rica was so helpful with answering the many questions I had about my glasses/insurance etc. she didn’t mind calling me back and leaving answers on my vm while I was at work! :) Dr. Patel actually stepped up to help her staff when they were short in the front of the office and was an instrumental part in helping me pick out my glasses and finding answers to the retail questions she didn’t know how to answer. :) Lastly, when I came to pick up my glasses Ms. Bianca was so nice and helpful with adjusting my frames and it was a very quick process to pick up I didn’t have to wait at all. I was at this location less than 10 months ago and it was great. I came back Fri. And it was the worst experience. The young lady that helped me I think her name was Doreen was great and a sweetheart. None of it was her fault. They overcharged me and my insurance. They charged for a torique comtact lense exam I NEVER asked for and never even knew was being performed. I was not asked nor was I informed. I specifically said I was there for eyeglasses. Then they ovecharged me my portion of the insurance but billed my insurance for the entire initial exam $49 in addition to a 59.00 contact lens exam not requested . Secondly, how have my eyes changed that DRASTICALLY in less than 10 months that I now need bifocals and can ONLY wear progressives and can ONLY wear toriques? Then they order the boxes before the trials even come in which have not even come in as of yet. Finally I never got the glasses because according to them my portion would be 189.00 for the very basic which i could get somewhere else cheaper and nicer. I find out from my insurance all of what they said and charged is incorrect. If you have insurance go somewhere else. They will purposely charge you the highest possible and leave you with an out of pocket balance. I have never gone through this before.

This is the second time in a row that i have gotten glasses here that were not made correctly. Had to wait 3 weeks for the lenses to come in and then another 3 weeks for them to be remade! If they would take the time to measure correctly the 1st time, it would avoid unnecessary remaking of lenses that is both time consuming and costly, not to mention aggravating to the customer. Apparently this happens a lot, not only at Visionworks but elsewhere. Take the time and do it right the 1st time. Is that too much to ask?

Everytime I have a contact lense issue for myself or one of my 2 daughters who wear contacts as well, they are always so helpful. They gave my daughter a trial lense when hers ripped . Im so glad me and my family started going here. I cant say enough great things about this vision works. They also gave us a nice discount on my daughters glasses as the insurance woudnt cover her glasses. They are helpful, attentive and organized. We were previously patients with america's best and they are awful, very rude, and pushy. Go to Visionworks! :)

This was my second eye exam at this location and I felt like the entire visit was great! The doctor that performed the exam was friendly and very informative m She explained every process that she performed and why. The exam was also done in a timely manner. A young lady by the of Jaida came over to assist me in picking out frames. She was very professional and patient. She was able to explain to me what my insurance covered and what would be an out of pocket cost. She was very knowledgeable about what discounts were currently available and how it would benefit me to take advantage of the discounts. My only disappointment was not being able to receive my colored contacts the same day which was no fault of any of the employees. Overall I would recommend Vision Works to my family, friends and coworkers.

I had purchased contacts and a pair of glasses here last year without any issue. However, I bought a pair of prescription sunglasses 2 weeks ago, and was told they would be "promised" on 9/5. They weren't ready. On 9/6, I came in again and was told "the lenses will not fit these wrap-around glasses" by Ed Maduzia, the general manager. He gave no reason other than my "prescription is too flat". How is it possible that optometrists cannot know that prior to production? It was never mentioned to me as a possibility when I made the purchase, and have had prescription sunglasses in the past that were wraparound. Complete incompetence. He essentially said too bad, that's how it is, pick a different style. He did refund my money but offered for me nothing for the inconvenience but a discount on contact lenses that would cost me more than my insurance-paid lenses. Find somewhere else to go or risk incompetence such as this.

First off, i wasn’t even greeted when I walked in the door. “Name” was all that was Said to me, before throwing a stack of paperwork in my face. I just moved back to the States after living abroad for 5 years. I had talked to my health care provider, but what the woman was telling me was different than what my insurance company had told me. She talked to me like I was a five year old, and I literally had to ask her to treat me with more respect. Once I did, her tone changed she but was claiming that I was going to have to pay for all these things that my insurance company said they covered. I had to walk out and call my insurance company, which confirmed what I thought. I don’t know if it was just a bad day or this lady, but the disrespect they showed me was rediculous and I will not be back.

The office also lost my contacts when it was time for me to get an exchange because those boxes were bad..I wont be going back after I get my prescription (that I paid for) right.

What an awful first visit, that only lasted less than 5 minutes. We walked into the Christiana Vision works and introduced ourselves and requested we needed help for my son getting his first glasses. We were immediately met with an attitude that we were annoying the representative, Mystique. This attitude was not met well because our son was already nervous about the whole process. We were asked these questions in succession without a response from her, “well, do you have a prescription for that, well, do you have a insurance , well, are you using insurance, well, what is it called, where’s the card”. This very short experience let us know that we were not welcome and they did not want our business. This store was completely empty and almost like we were interrupting the downtime.

Don't go! Horrible customer service. No one offered assistance until I asked for it, and only then did he stop playing on his phone. Didn't offer to show us glasses. Wasn't able to differentiate contact lens brands/types and which ones were a better fit for my daughter. From the optometrist to the optician, just a horrible experience. Chose to go there because it was close to home but have always gone to Scheie Eye in Philadlephia. Definitely going to make the trip back to Scheie next time. I will never go to Visionworks again.

I was very happy with my experience at this location. Dr. Nunes was extremely nice and in the end I was happy with my new prescription and contacts he recommended. Finding glasses was easy, the selection is surprisingly good even for someone with a small head like myself. I was able to get them made in 15-20 minutes so I got my new glasses sooner than I expected. I definitely recommend this Visionworks and would go back again.

Following a poor experience at White Marsh, I saw the reviews here and decided to give it a shot. My glasses were broken and not purchased at this particular Vision Works so I was aware there was a chance they couldn't help. When I was greeted I was clear i was aware they might not be able to help me. They couldn't fix the old ones. BUT they were able to go through my insurance and i purchased 2 new pair. I always have a good experience at this location. Don’t think because Visionworks is in a mall that their service is second rate. They do get busy w/ foot traffic in and out. But they always do their best to greet each potential patient and assist one’s checking in for appointments. I am a loyal patient and will continue to return. Dr. Patel was fantastic. She’s so personable and easy going. You can tell she’s passionate about her craft and her patients. I was most recently helped by Jaida. She was very friendly and patient w/ me. (I had my eyes dilated and was moving a little slow) However my last few visits to pick out my frames and pick them up, Eddie assisted me. Eddie is amazing! He is always professional but every time I’m there, I forget we are actually handling business. He went above and beyond to accommodate for my 6 year old son who was getting antsy waiting. Those two had a ball watching Spider-Man videos while I filled out paperwork. And my husband and Eddie pass the time while I pick frames by laughing at my questionable choices. I have rescheduled appointments JUST to be seen by Eddie. He is great w/ customers and very efficient. He makes sure I am getting what I want while staying in my budget.

In a few words: Disappointing and Unreasonable. This is my first time at the Towson Mall location of Vision Works. A friend went and found their price is reasonable for glasses / contacts appointment and it wasn’t too far away from my house in Baltimore. My appointment was at 11 AM but I unfortunately got lost in the mall trying to find the store and I arrived a little bit late at 11:07. When I arrived, the staff told me I had “missed my appointment.“ The grace period is only five minutes, so because I arrived at 11:07… Two minutes later... the “doctor had already marked the appointment missed,” and there was, “nothing that could be done for me until tomorrow.“ I wasn’t told of this policy in advance! I asked the staff to make an exception (I would’ve been happy to apologize to the Doctor for the 2 minutes) but there is no willingness to be flexible. I think this is unreasonable. I won’t be recommending or returning, but that said, if you can get prevent any natural human circumstances like getting lost, perhaps you’ll get a cheap deal!
