What a wonderful experience! From the first exam through getting my glasses everyone I dealt with was kind, knowledgeable, and professional. I didn't just get glasses, I received a comprehensive exam and had a discussion about maintaining my eye health. Then the staff guided me in selecting the right lenses and frames for me and made sure I understood everything and that I was happy with my service. I'd been using a national chain, who were nice, but there is no comparison for the personal and quality care I received at Dr. Floyd's. Thank you!

It just does not get any better. The team at Pitman Family Eyecare is heads and shoulders above all the competition. Had my exam on Tuesday and required replacement fames and lenses. These glasses were every "bell and whistle" available (Transition lenses, progressives, anti-glare....the works). THEY WERE READY ON THURSDAY!!! 2 Days later?? I called as I thought it was a bad email - but it was correct. Glasses are perfect, the staff is great, and VSP paid for a bunch of the cost. Id does not get any better. I HIGHLY recommend the team at Pitman Family Eyecare!!!

The staff puts the PIT in Pitman. The eye exam was fine and quite routine, despite the low pressure upsell for non-covered services. The real disaster begins with the rude and difficult women who run the office. First, it took several phone calls before the appointment for them to be able to verify my insurance coverage. Next, they were to have ordered a trial pair of contacts. Two weeks later (I was traveling for business the second week) I still did not get a call that the trial pair was in and found out when I called to follow up they never ordered because the woman checking me out never passed my file to the right person. They did get them in quickly after that. Once I got them and they worked for me (same contacts I've been wearing for 15+ years) just different strength, I ordered then from the same online place I always do. I went to check my insurance to download the out of network claim form only to find that Pitman Family Eyecare had gotten a claim authorization for both contacts and eyeglasses even though I had never authorized them to do so. My insurance had to call them to verify and they reversed the claim. About 2 minutes after I hung up with my insurance, I get a phone call from Pitman Family Eyecare, rudely asking what was going on because they had also gotten a phone call from the online merchant to verify my prescription. I was advised that I did not have a prescription from them and they could not verify until I paid the $55 exam fee becuase I wasn't getting contacts through them. I called my insurance carrier and printed out my benefits and headed over to them to straighten this out. Rude and cold are the two words to describe the office management there. They were wrong because they couldn't read (perhaps THEY need an eye exam) that the $0 amount was what member pays not what is covered by insurance. After they called and verified that the contact exam or fitting or whatever name it is identified by WAS covered by insurance, she gave (dare I say almost threw) my prescriptions at me. WOW, they all need a lesson on customer service. Shame too because they are close and a nice facility but I won't be back and this story will be published on every review site I can find.

When you are providing a service to others rule number one is to always have respect. The lady on the phone was very rude. When I asked about making an appointment her first response was that there were none available then she proceeded to get my information and gave me 3 different appointment times to choose from. I thought there were none? Ok so I made the appointment. The day of my appointment I called to see if there was anything a little later in the day as I was not going to be able to make the one I had scheduled and she tells me her next appointment was next week. I asked her to cancel my appointment as I am going on vacation next week and she hung up on me without even a goodbye. She was very rude and dry throughout the entire conversation. Having worked in customer service my entire life, I am appalled by the phone etiquette of this establishment. I will not be giving them any business.

Great optometrist. I have been coming here for years and I absolutely would not go anywhere else. The staff is always very nice and knowledgeable about their products. I would definitely recommend Pitman Family eye care. Dr. Floyd and his team is passionate about your vision which makes for a wonderful and painless experience.

I have been a patient for a while but I recently started wearing contacts, and the staff was very helpful and patient with me as I learned how to put them in and out and adjust from glasses to contacts. Dr. Floyd was courteous and explained everything to me, so I knew what to expect. The office staff went over everything concerning what my insurance would cover and could not have been more helpful. The office atmosphere is very friendly and family like and much more personal than a big chain type place. I would highly recommend Pitman Family Eyecare for a friendly and personal experience.

I unfortunately broke my 2 week old glasses which I did not purchase from Pitman family eye care I went to four different places and they all said no including the place I purchased them from my co worker told me about Pitman family eye care so I stopped by and the wonderful and knowageable staff helped me out and I got them back the next day less than 24hrs later fixed perfectly and very inexpensively so thanks again for the terrific service and courtesy staff I will recommend to all my family and friends to have all their eye care needs handled by Pitman family eye care

This is supposed to be a family Eyecare service, but the quality of service is very poor. While Dr. Floyd is knowledgeable and friendly, the staff are rude and unprofessional. I brought my son to choose his eye glasses. When we first walked in, the staff didn’t even say hello to welcome us. That’s fine. I had to be the proactive one (mind you I’m the customer) to reach out to one of the staff and ask where the children glasses can be found. I helped my son choose his glasses. Then we went to the small desk so we could get the process started, but the lady said she is helping someone else and we need to wait. That’s fine. I told my son to wait in the single chair while I stood next to him. After 15 minutes, a woman with 3 children walked in with boxes of lenses. The young staff who was helping the father and daughter (both adults) choose eye glasses, went behind the “L” desk to help the woman who brought back boxes of lenses (apparently she received the wrong lenses). I was upset and I asked why no one would help us. That young staff said to me while working with the lady with the boxes of lenses “I’m helping those father and daughter choose eye glasses right now”. I was appalled and I said “then why are you helping that lady when my son and I were here first? We have been waiting for help”. (Mind you all 3 staff were fully aware that my son and I have been waiting to be serviced). She didn’t give me a response and just continued processing the lady’s transaction in front of the computer. None of the staff said anything. No apology and no explanations for the unprofessional treatment. So, I put back the eye glasses in the shelf that I was going to buy for my son, and walked out of the store! Since the staff obviously didn’t want our business (that’s a loss of 5 customers from my family alone!), we decided to leave. It’s a shame that they do not know how to treat customers with respect.

Everyone is very friendly and professional! I finally got the right prescription for my contacts and a pair of really nice glasses! Contacts are usually ready the next day and glasses only take a few days. I will be bringing everyone in my family back to see Dr. Floyd and his staff!

My whole family has been seeing Dr. Floyd for about 20 years. He is a very good eye Dr. He is understanding and was even great with my special needs son. My son is in a wheelchair and they are always very accommodating to help us with him. The staff has always been very nice and very helpful even helps my wife pick out her frames every time. It has always been a very pleasant experience each time we go there.
