The process for the refund clam takes forever

CIGNA ought to be ashamed of itself! They informed me via their standard denial of coverage letter that my liver transplant was not considered "medically necessary" which is obviously not true. Four different doctors disagreed with CIGNA and submitted all the necessary paperwork which the insurance company would need to reconsider. However CIGNA still chose to stand by their original decision not to cover. They even had the nerve to suggest that my "lifestyle choices of engaging in alcoholic behavior of my own choice for several years" was what had damaged my liver. All of my doctors medically disagreed and tried to explain to CIGNA how my deteriorating liver condition was due to genetics and not "my lifestyle choices" to use the insurance company's direct quotes. Whoever is considering buying insurance coverage through CIGNA you would be well advised to steer clear. This insurance company doesn't care one single bit about their members or their health. All they seem to care about is corporate profits and greed. There isn't enough bad and negative stuff which I could write about this so-called "member focused" insurance company. CIGNA claims one things in its marketing materials and advertisements and brochures which they send out to the general public. Yet their actions of essentially rather having their own members suffer tremendously because of preexisting illnesses or possibly even result in members death are a direct contradiction to those "member focused" statements which they try to convince the public to believe. My new insurance carrier who I use now immediately covered my lifesaving and "medically necessary" liver transplant (unlike CIGNA) so I'm happy to announce that everything is good in my life. However it would be such a shame for any other member of CIGNA unfortunately to experience my same feelings of devastation and very scary fears of wondering whether or not their lifesaving procedures would be approved. That's why it is so vital for me to warn the public to not use CIGNA as an insurance company. The only thing they will do is collect your insurance premiums but then abandon you in your own time of need because of their own selfish greed.
