I have had my annual eye exams at the Berlin MD office of Chesapeake Eye Center since 2010. Dr Jason Yonker, MD had been recommended to me by another nearby Vision Center who was concerned about my eye pressures (my father had glaucoma). I have been highly satisfied with the care and detailed explanations of various vision problems people my age encounter. While the office is a busy one, all employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. There is also no pressure to purchase necessary eye glasses at the affiliated optical center. They also can give you online access to your complete vision exam results, and/or will give you a printout. I do have some cataracts (are in my 80s) and had lots of questions, such as the advantages of Laser-assisted surgery, at my annual exam a few days ago. Dr Yonker and his amazing knowledgeable assistant/technician Karly Bolon were so patient to explain all the options and details. Karly was also so patient and caring doing the Refraction procedure (the 'is no 1 or no 2 better' which is so important to get you the best prescription for your eye glasses. I read a lot and are on my computer much of the day - and really appreciate such professionalism.

Dr. Bescak preformed my LASIK surgery. I had considered going across the bridge but wanted to keep my money local and I am glad I made that decision. Every one I encounter in the office is very nice and professional. Dr. Bescak is wonderful and genuinely cares about his patients. I am very happy with my choice of Chesapeake Eye Center for my LASIK procedure.

When I called and made appointment I asked them about my insurance. They said they accepted it. After arriving and filling out paperwork and waiting 20 minutes I was told they did not accept my insurance.
