Going to the eye doctor is not on the top of my list of things to do. However, in the last five or six years I was diagnosed with diabetes and my eyesight began to change quickly. Of course I was nervous so what does said nervous person do? Put it off! My neighbor recommended Dr. Bainbridge and I was not disappointed. I am a retired RN so I have some knowledge about the effects of diabetes but apparently not enough. After a complete eye exam during which Dr. Bainbridge listened carefully to everything I was concerned about (symptoms) he proceeded to explain everything so that I could understand it. Even though I was a medical professional, Dr. Bainbridge made sure I understood his explanations using diagrams he had on the wall in his office and also he took the time to look up images on his computer to show me exactly what he had found. After seeing the doctor I saw Bob for a readjustment of my glasses. He was very efficient and knowledge! Every person in this office is competent and friendly. I would highly recommend them!

Review of Dr. Todd Bainbridge, Optometrist. Before I get into detail, I’d like to start with 3 partial definitions from Wikipedia. Ophthalmology is the branch of medicine that deals with the anatomy, physiology and diseases of the eye. An ophthalmologist is a specialist in medical and surgical eye problems. Since ophthalmologists perform operations on eyes, they are both surgical and medical specialists. Optometry is a health care profession concerned with the health of the eyes and related structures, as well as vision, visual systems, and vision information processing in humans; are trained to prescribe and fit lenses to improve vision, and to diagnose and treat various eye diseases. An optician is a specialized practitioner who designs, fits and dispenses lenses for the correction of a person's vision. Opticians determine the specifications of various ophthalmic appliances that will give the necessary correction to a person's eyesight. My story - • An ophthalmologist gave me an eye exam and a new prescription for corrective lenses. • An optician had the new lenses made for my new frames. They didn’t work. • At a second, confirming visit, the ophthalmologist stood by his prescription. • The optician stated he made what the ophthalmologist prescribed - so problem. I needed a “tiebreaker” – and that was Dr. Bainbridge. I made an appointment, told him my predicament and told him he was the “tiebreaker” and he gave me his “normal” exam. I’ve been wearing glasses for 65 years, and don’t think I’ve ever had such a thorough exam. • He is thorough • Takes his time • Explains things – even to the point of drawing diagrams for clarification. • He follows up – with the ophthalmologist and the “normal” doctor. • A new corrective prescription from Dr. Bainbridge was $20; the ophthalmologist charged $45. I have the new lenses according to Dr. Bainbridge’s prescription – and he “hit the nail on the head”. Therefore – I highly recommend Dr. Bainbridge – you’ll find out what “thorough” is and you won’t have wasted time, money and aggravation.

I had refractive surgery about 20 years ago which was initially mostly successful but over the years my corneas became so irregular that normal glasses would not correct it. I've seen 6 Drs who were unable to help - and then I met Dr. Bainbridge. He came up with a contact lens and glasses combination that has finally returned my vision to 20/20 for the first time in 10 years! Dr. Bainbridge was both thorough in his exam and his understanding of the results to come up with a solution. And he then took the time to carefully fit the contacts and then again to train me to use the system. A very comfortable setting with easy parking. And the office staff are very pleasant and efficient. Dr. Bainbridge and his office have greatly exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend them.

My husband had an eye emergency where he lost partial sight on a Saturday afternoon...left a message to Dr. Bainbridge. He called within minutes to follow up with cancelling his home plans, opened up his office in flip flops & shorts to do extensive testing. He predicted a torn retina & sent him to Will’s eye.... Will’s eye was totally impressed that Dr. Bainbridge was able to predict a tear, coonsideing it was very difficult to detect. Laser surgery was preformed & prevented further damage....Thank you, Dr. Bainbridge....He truly is the best in more ways than one! Highly recommend!

I first saw Dr Bainbridge earlier this year for a scleral lens fitting due to kerataconus. I was nervous about the lenses, but doc and his staff quickly put me at ease. I have needed a prescription since 1985 and Dr. Bainbridge is the Platinum standard for eye care!! I left the area to relocate to another area for work...........and drove the 101.5 (one way) miles to see he and his staff. One thing which would be very useful for customers would be Saturday hours.
