I recently quit my job because I was moving out of state. I had a few days left to use my benefits. I called to schedule an eye exam and they asked for the Aetna #. I gave it to them expecting them to check my eligibility. They made an appointment for me but when I showed show they said I wasn't covered. I spent an hour in stop and go traffic to make that appointment. Garbage.

This is a great office to go to for your eyes. Appointments are easy to schedule, and they're pretty good about being on time. I never wait more than a few minutes.

I was a new patient , made a 2:00 appointment. Was ignored, they took others patients first, some with later appointments. Wasted 45 minutes waiting, left disgusted. Would never reccomend this office.

The billing department is not, in my opinion, ethical. The service was fine, however when it comes to handling patient billing they are at best below average. They sent out a bill a year later due to "a computer glitch" because they moved but they have been in their main ave office for about 4 years! Then when patient (who was not expecting bill) questions their billing practice because he/she can't recall getting that service, they were basically told to disregard what's on the confusing bill (1 +1 = 2 not 15) just pay it "we actually gave you a discount". Asked to speak to a supervisor two days ago but the same person who couldn't handle the situation in the first place called back. When asked why the supervisor is not calling response was, "because I told her and she can't do anything different" Unacceptable!!!

Horrible experience! A family member who is suffering from 2 types of cancer was left sitting in the waiting room for over an hour. When it was explained to the first person that he was not well enough to be able to sit for this long, how much longer before his procedure would be done? She went into the back to ask and the entire waiting room heard the doctors response. "Mr. So and so will just have to wait like everyone else! There's still 6 people in front of him" First of all how rude to treat your employee that way. Second of all knowing someone's health history and not caring or giving any consideration to their comfort is disgusting. How humiliating for the patient. How about calling your patients and letting them know you're running more than an hour behind. How about not grossly over booking for the same procedure. Not to mention the blatant HIPPA violation announcing the patients name. Do yourself a favor stay away, goes somewhere that actually cares about the patient instead of the dollars.

I have now been to Spector Eyecare twice; once for my routine exam and another time to follow up on something the Ophthalmologist, Dr Ma, found. I've been very happy with services received and the treatment overall. I was made a part of my care and I left with all of my questions answered. I would recommend this eye care practice to anyone looking for routine eye care or anything else more involved: dry eye, cataracts etc. I will continue to follow up here.

Charged for services I did not receive. I came here as it was under my insurance and convenient to where I was working at the time. Everything went fine, until months after I had picked up my contacts and paid in full, I received another bill. I called to ask what this was for, and was told that it was mandatory to charge for any contacts, whether or not the service was received. I asked why this was, and they just said they did it for any new contact patient, whether or not they actually did it. DO NOT GO HERE.

I had an apt today, @8:15am was there @8am, I was schedule for contact fitting. I had an full exam in January of 2017. While I was waiting & waiting I kept asking how long this is going to take, told them my urgency, I had an another apt @930. They finally come out @8:45am to tell me that I should be seeing soon still no time frame giving what soon means. How ever they added to tell me I need a full examination again that will take an hour. Which was never explain to me. I stress my frustration of the matter that I do not need a full examination I had one in January of 2017 I am here for a contact fitting . I had someone come out seem she was in authority yelling at me. I was livid didn't say anything walk out. It was extremely apparent they had no respect/value of my time. why set up an apt if you cant accommodate the patient. I even ask for another dr in the practice if they can take me but that was not an option. Horrible experience.

The receptionist is always friendly on the phone when making appointments. The office is easy to find, the waiting room is comfortable, and the doctor is informative.
