Dr. Cervantes is a real class act and a fantastic ophthalmologist. Explains everything in detail so you always know exactly what's going on. I was a little concerned about having cataract surgery, but he made it all so easy that I'm almost embarrassed for being apprehensive in the first place! And the entire staff is just as accommodating. Couldn't possibly recommend them any higher than I do. GREAT experience!!!

Recently, Dr Cervantes perform cataract surgery on both of my eyes. Both surgeries went smoothly. I was 100% satisfied with not only the result, but the entire process. Dr Cervantes’ office is run very efficiently. You will notice that patients are scheduled at very discrete time so can move through the examination steps in a timely manner. Dr Cervantes’ medical assistants are knowledgeable, accommodating and understanding of their patients. (I hate things coming in contact with my eyes.) I was immediately impressed by Dr Cervantes energy. Dr Cervantes conveys professionalism, friendliness and patience in dealing with me. He answered all my questions and I felt very confident of his surgical skills going into the operation. I highly recommend Dr Cervantes.

I have been wanting refractive surgery and LASIK for some time, but was apprehensive about trusting anyone with my eyes. Once I met Dr. Cervantes however, I was very comfortable with him. He is an excellent surgeon and great communicator. I was made at ease immediately and felt confident I was in the best of hands. I had the surgery on a Thursday afternoon and the next day I drove to the follow up myself without needing any corrective lenses. It has now been two weeks since the surgery and I could not be happier with the results, but more importantly the great service and extreme professionalism I had witnessed. My mother has been a patient of Sokol's for many years for her glaucoma.Recently, i began to go in with her, as her vision was getting worse. My first question was he told her not to waste her money on new glasses, for they would not help. I proceeded to tell him she uses bifocals and wouldn't a single vision prescription for up close help, seeing that her eyes would make use of the whole lens. His response to me was, "very good question". Hello, i'm not the dr...you are. My second point...she'd been on Xalatan at the beginning, then changed over to Lumigan which worked well for several years. Now her pressure was going up and he put her back on Xalatan...it didn't work so she starts taking the dreadful Cosopt, which caused burning in her eyes and even worse blurry vision. On her next visit he checked her eye pressure and it went down from 20 to 13 in both eyes, however her vision was getting worse...no explanation from him. He was ready to have her declared legally blind when my mother asked him why she could see better before she started the Cosopt. To my amazement, he told us it could be that the Cosopt caused swelling of her corneas so he changed the medication once again. We were livid and couldn't get out of there fast enough. In closing, i ask you Dr Sokol...did you even once think that my mother was having a reaction to the Cosopt...how is a patient suppose to do well on an eye exam or field test when their vision is blurry !!!! To his credit i will say he was just returning from vacation and was inundated with appointments, but is that any excuse for being a bit sarcastic to my mother when the fact is, you do not know what your doing... TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL...STEER CLEAR !!!!! P.S. And to think, i had to give this review at least 1 star...can someone tell me what it's for because i sure can't think of 1 positive thing from our experience ??????

He and his team are professional and courteous. They explain everything and make you feel comfortable from start to finish. Go see them, you will not be disappointed!

I have suffered from severe nearsightedness since I was a child; I don't remember ever having good vision. I had wanted to get LASIK for a few years but didn't know who I could trust with my eyes (and my very strong prescription), until I met Dr. Cervantes. He was very patient and thorough with the pre-operative exams, explained everything to me several times, and helped to alleviate my fears. The procedure itself he performed quickly and skillfully, explaining everything as he was doing it and exuding calmness with his soothing voice. I cannot say enough good things about the team at CT Eye Specialists; they gave me the sight I never had. I am so glad I chose Dr. Cervantes. I would not have trusted anyone else with my eyes. He will be my choice in the future for any of mine or my family's needs. AND they offer a student discount!

Posted for my wife Dolores in my account: I cannot say enough good things about my cataract removal procedure. Every staff member was helpful, courteous and kind. Dr. Cervantes immediately made me feel comfortable, gave me ample opportunity to ask questions and did not make me feel like he was in a hurry to see his next patient. He quickly returned a call to reassure me about a question I had before my first procedure. I don't even remember having my second cataract removed though I am sure it happened as I am now able to read without glasses, enjoy vibrant colors and read signs in the distance. Dr. Cervantes is a fantastic Ophthalmologist! I have been having recurrent spontaneous bleeding in my eye (subconjunctival hemorrhages) for many years. I've been to multiple eye doctors, and none were able to help me, until I met Dr. Cervantes. He gave me a careful examination, and was able to locate and cauterize an abnormal blood vessel. My problem is now solved! Dr. Cervantes is very personable, easy going, and a terrific doctor. I'll be back when I need my cataracts treated!

A year ago my Dr said I have Cataracts, when ready let him know. Recently I noticed the lights at home being dimmer than I remember. At the same time I was having difficulty driving at night. The staff at CT EYE SPECIALISTS are all friendly and very caring. DR Cervantes gave me confidence in him that I could trust him with my eyes. He explained the different lenses,and procedures as well as the expected results. I am super happy. For the first time since I was 12 I don't need glasses. The astigmatism is gone, and everything is bright the way it should be. I can't believe I waited so long to have it done. I am driving at night again with no problem. Dr Cervantes did my surgery perfectly and I am forever grateful. If you have Cataracts or other eye problems this is who to see. As a side note I had the surgery at GRIFFIN hospital, which I found to be efficient and extremely well staffed with super nice people. If you are lucky enough to have Adrienne as your nurse she is the best.
