I can see so much more, it's a miracle
Dr. Miller takes incredible care of our son! She is very personable with him and does a great job working with him to keep his attention when she needs it. She is an expert in her field and one of the best ophthalmologists in Colorado.
My son has been seeing Dr. David Lee at the Children's Eyes Center for the last 9 years and I have nothing but good things to say about him and the staff. Dr. Lee performed eye surgery on my son when he was 4 and has treated him ever since. Unlike the 2 other reviews on here, I would recommend the Children's Eye Center to anyone. They DO have toys: fish tank, TV, children's table, etc. Perhaps how you treat people is how they treat you.....
Dr. Lee is amazing. He has made my daughter so comfortable with the eye doctor she bow fets excited to go. We are always treated with incredible respect. Her vision has improved immensely since we have started coming. I will bring her here as long as I can.
Dr. Dave Lee was amazing with my daughter. I took her to the other Dr. Lee and was very disappointed. Dr. Dave Lee was kind, informative, and was able to help guide us on how to help better treat her eye conditions. I was very impressed on how he was able to engage with her and explained to her what she needs to do to make her eyes stronger and make sure she keeps her glasses on at all times. I would highly recommend them to anyone. And the Children's eye glass selection is amazing!!!!
The only Eye Center I take my children to see. The Dr who did my eye surgery as a child also did I for my son. The staff is always friendly and nice, the place is always clean. I never have to wait long to be seen and I work in UCHealth so I know a few things to look for in a clinic and this is by far one of the next in town.
Recommend going else where if you can. Front office staff does not care about patients or doing their job. Doctors are friendly enough...

Dr Lee does great with our boy and keeps us informed on progress with our son's bad eye. Staff are friendly and professional.
Everyone is very kind and considerate. Dr. D. Lee is very knowledgeable in his profession. I do recommend him and his office team if you are seeking an children's eye specialist that deals with movement.
staff is great however check in time is 30 minutes before your appointment and they run an average of 45 minutes behind schedule. That’s a long time to wait especially if your missing work to bring a child here.
Dr.Lee has changed my son's life! We first started coming when my son's eye began to wonder out. It was rare at first and got worse. The second it did Dr.Lee operated on my son and everything went well! I was so scared and Dr.Lee reassured and educated me prior, during and after. Dr.Lee knows his stuff and is good at what he does. My son can now see better and has an improved quality of life. My son will continue in his good care. I can tell he does not do anything that is unnecessary and cares about my son. You would think a kid would be scared to go there but mine gets excited. He even says "my eyes are feel better". They always have us in and out of here and staff is always friendly.
Went here with a friend who believes in karma and won't post a review, but this place is the worst place to go for eye exams, I'd rather use the whole 3hrs we waited there to drive to Denver to get proper care. They have rude staff and the billing department is a joke, we received a bill for an exam when we have Medicaid as secondary and Robyn the so called help in billing department was rude and unhelpful when asked why she isn't submitting a claim to the insurance. Not only was she unhelpful but she sent my friends bill to my address since I was helping her, when I received a bill I called immediately let them she no longer at this address and gave her updated info they just sent her bill to collections without submitting to Medicaid for payment or given her another notice of outstanding balance. If you value your child care I would highly recommend going to another place and avoid these doctors and their scams!
When I took my son to his first eye exam at a "big box eye place" my experience with that doctor was horrible and I questioned his prescription, because it was so bad. So after some research and talking my son's PCP, I brought him to the Children's Eye Center. Since I had already used my son's annual routine eye exam at the big box place, the Eye Center was able to bill my visit as medical, so I wouldn't have to pay their fee for another exam. Which in turn, did save me money and Dr. Caltrider was great. However this last year, when I took him back for his routine eye exam, they again billed it as medical instead of routine, without informing me. I didn't even pay the co-pay. So when I went to schedule an appointment for this year, I was told they couldn't schedule an appointment due to an outstanding balance. They transferred me to the "Billing Specialist" and she told me that it was bill medically, because it's how the doctor submitted it. She kept trying to give me different analogies, that did even come close to my situation. She couldn't explain in detail why I was being billed for medical, instead of a routine exam and even said I would have to talk to someone else to have it explained. I tried to explain why it was billed medically the year before, but she tried another failed analogy. I told her I took my son in for a routine exam, the Dr. performed a routine exam and it shouldn't be billed as a medical procedure without my knowledge.
My son, who is autistic, sees Dr. Caltrider. She is amazing and patient with him; in fact she is the only doctor who has been able to properly assess him. The office is always clean, the staff is always friendly.
Great doctor and staff. My young daughter felt comfortable with everyone
Absolutely the best doctors in Colorado Springs. Dr. Miller was wonderful with my son. Also, the staff was amazing and kind. Audrey really took the time, care, and patience when dealing with his special needs. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. Thank you all soo much!

I absolutely love this place. My boys, 1 and 3, see Dr. Miller and she is awesome with them and very patient. The staff is incredibly friendly and great with kids. Even the on site glasses company (Forgot their name, sorry) are awesome, super friendly and a great selection. I highly recommend bringing your children here for their eye exams.
Awesome experience. Dr Lee was prompt and courteous. Took great care of my 5 yr old. Support staff was prompt and courteous too.
I now know why so many bad reviews about this place. Simply trying to get ahold of anyone is hard, plus they literally hung up on my after I tried to schedule an appointment. She said oh well and hung up. After trying for over an hr to reach someone. This was just trying to schedule a new patient appointment. Well not trying again. I would rather take my kid to Walmart then deal with these people again.
Can anyone explain why in 2018, this office is not able to email an eyeglass prescription, they need to "fax" it... really?
Doctor was completely worthless, couldn't help at all and treated my wife and I like we were children, couldn't even explain what it was that she was diagnosing my son with. I have seen a great deal of eye doctors for my own eye problems and the doctor that I saw was completely uninformed on the topics that I asked about and couldn't or wouldn't answer my questions. On top of all this, they never sent me a bill, they just sent the amount that was owed directly to collections. Extremely unprofessional, and I highly recommend seeking out a different doctor. There is a great group of doctors in Denver, and believe me it is worth the drive to save yourself from this terrible office.
RUN, don’t walk, away from this place.
The doctor and staff were extremely friendly. We were seen within 5 minutes of me filling out the informational new patient form. While my babies eyes where dialating, the assistants were checking up on me. We didn't wait long either and I was very happy that they allowed me to sit in my own waiting room while my babies eyes dilated (she is almost 2 months). In the exam room, the doctor was great with the baby and gentle when when examining her. Definatley child friendly atmosphere. She answered all my questions and I'll definatley be coming here again :)
Every time I visit the Children's Eye Center I receive the greatest service. The Staff is always so nice and each doctor really seems to know what they're doing. Once you see a doctor at the Children's Eye Center you know children's eye health is their top priority and passion. I also love the selection of glasses they have, you can tell they really try to stay up to date on trends as well as with ophthalmology and optometry technology and techniques.
We went last year and saw Dr Lee. He was amazing, very informative and paid attention to my concerns. This year I called to try and schedule an appt for my three kids, one of which is almost one. They told me that they could only schedule two children at a time. I explained to them that I live in Fountain, which is a 45 min drive to their location, and they did not even offer to help me out so that I wouldn't have to make two separate visits. I will no longer be using this eye doctor. They obviously don't care about customer service or trying to keep patients long term. It's a shame because we really like the doctor.
My daughter has been seeing Dr. Miller since she was about 6 months old. She was a preemie born at 23 weeks. Dr. Miller had done her eye surgery that she had needed while in NICU. She is wonderful very informative and helps with any concerns we have, she is keeps my daughters other eye dr in Denver up to date on visits. Most staff is friendly some are not as friendly. I would recommend this office for kids who need a little extra care with their eyes
Outdated and dirty facility, long wait time. Equipment was outdated and the exam was very limited, none of my concerns were addressed. Yet we were charged more than $500.00! I had been taking my daughter to a pediatric opthalmologist in another city for years but once we moved to the Colorado Springs area thought it would be best to find someone local. This is the only option in the area, I would rather drive the 8 hours to take her to the previous provider than go back to this provider. BTW, our previous provider only charged $100 for a much more in-depth exam.

Will never go here again. Waited over an hour for the doctor. They put us in a room and turned on a movie while we waited for over an hour. Then the doctor didn't find anything wrong which is why I was there to determine if something was wrong or not. BUT, he kept looking like he had to find something and finally told my 8 year old she was slightly farsighted. The office staff was wonderful but I will not go there again. We arrived 20 minutes early and were there for almost 3 hours. My time is as precious as anyone else's.
I have been seeing Neicia Caltrider for many years, I called today to reschedule an appointment due to a recent death in our family, and a few schedule changes and her receptionist told me the patient, my daughter, Anjolina Cruz was terminated! Shocking!!!!!
My son has been seeing Dr. Lee for nearly five years. As a healthcare provider to children myself, I highly recommend him. He’s a skilled surgeon and a wonderful asset to our community.
I have 3 children due for eye appts, one who needs a specialist. The scheduling department was very friendly and willing to work to find appointments that worked with scheduling my children. 2 will see one dr and then the other will see the specialist right after the other 2's appt. very polite and helpful! thank you
Well your WRONG on the lady's up front.....They treat everyone the same which is respectful, kind and caring for everyone that walks through there office... I have been going there for years now..... Dr. Lee and his staff are the BEST!!!!!
One month 1 week to get glasses!
MY DAUGHTER SEEN Nieca D. Caltrider, M.D AND WOW THE PATIENCE WITH HER AND AN INFANT I WAS AMAZED! SO GREAT WITH KIDS!!! WAITING TIME SUCKED BUT GREAT STAFF. VERY FRIENDLY
Dr. Miller is great. I would give her 4 to 5 stars. Dealing with the front office is not a good experience. You should be prepared to wait 30 minutes to hour past your appointment time.
Do not be fooled that as a pediatric ophthalmologist they are good with kids or even know more then a regular ophthalmologist when it comes to children. We were charged over $300 for a few minutes of time and an incorrect assessment. Had to go to a real eye doctor to get the right information. The doctor did more emotional harm to our son then the eye problem itself with her horrible bedside manner. Go anywhere else.
I have been bringing both of my kids here for 4 years. Dr. Lee is great and so are the other providers we have seen. The administration in this office is not great. Check your EOBs and make sure you don’t get over charged. They also demand you fill out updated paperwork on every visit. I informed them that nothing had changed, our address and insurance information was exactly the same and signed off on their paperwork with that information. Shortly after the office manager, Robin came to me and stated that how I filled out the forms was not good enough and that I need to re-fill out all the information. When I stated to her that nothing had changed, she replied with “99% of people say that and it’s not true” somehow implying that I am lying that my information had not changed. I found this insulting and inappropriate behavior for a manger to act like. I have been in healthcare for 15 years and never accused my patients of being liars.

Dr. Miller is so patient with my daughter, and she always answers all of my questions and concerns. I like how they have a store inside their office where you can buy the glasses as well.
