I received my eye exam at pikes peak eye care about two weeks ago. The staff was extremely nice and Dr Fournier took her time and listened to what my concerns were. I got a new glasses prescription and ordered glasses. My glasses arrived within three days! I will definitely be coming back.
Great experience all around!! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Kristin in Billing answered all my questions about my insurance and was really nice. The Office Manager Amanda helped me pick out some great frames. She took her time explaining the differences in brands and helped me pick a pair that was perfect!! Dr. Jost is great!! The doctor is fine. Very professional. The staff is iffy. Some of them are awesome. Others are terrible. I have had several billing and delivery issues over the last couple of years. They have not sent lenses to me, and then claimed that I picked them up when I had not. They eventually announced that there was an error in their records. Really... I already knew that, but thanks for the confirmation... Further, they have issues with making lenses in the first place. I had to have three different pairs of glasses remade repeatedly (Driving and reading, plus a pair for my son). They blamed me for the problems with the lenses. They said they weren't going to remake them again. They huffed when I demanded a refund during the guarantee period. The doctor approved it of course, but the fact that the staff initially refused boggles my mind. I chose to go elsewhere rather than deal with the random incompetence.
Liz at the desk was great! The dentist and all the assistanta worked so well with my 3 year old. It takes a lot to work with stubborn kids everyday. Thank you all for everything you do.

They are great. They were patient with my questions and took the time to make sure I knew everything regarding my prescription.
I've had about 5 pairs of glasses from them over the years. These people CAN NOT seem to get a pair of glasses to fit properly. Even when I went into DETAIL of the fit issues I've had with them in hopes they would listen and do what is needed so the glasses will fit me well. Every pair I have had, slip down my nose and are unwearable. Yes, I've had a pair adjusted too, but still did not help. They are not knowledgeable either, because if I'm getting the wrong frames to fit my head correctly, why are they not guiding me toward frames that will fit better after I explain the fit issue?? I'm done wasting MY money! So angry. Now, I've had to squeeze the metal notches together that are meant to sit on the nose, so that I can use the glasses until I get new frames. I'm going elsewhere for a new pair!

Very thorough and comprehensive exam. Took the time to explain every step and my symptoms. So far, I am impressed. Would suggest that employee break room have a door. Not the most professional thing to hear one trying to set another up on a blind date.

I have been coming to Pikes Peak Eye Care with my children for years now. Even after moving to Fountain, I will always go back to Pikes Peak Eye Care. Jody at reception is incredibly accommodating and super nice. Dr. Jost is a class act and as vision care goes, he is second to none. Sallie and Keith are patient and helpful when you are picking out your frames. They make you feel like an old friend back for a visit, even when your last appointment was a year ago. They are also super knowledgeable about your vision benefits and will always help you get the very most out of your benefits. They also have a wonderful selection of designer and budget frames and sunglasses. I've never had trouble finding exactly what I want. (Usually with Sallie's input on what looks good and what looks great). The fact that the family of staff is the same year after year speaks volumes to me, of the kind of business they run. And they do feel like a family. I will never go to another office for any of mu vision needs as long as I live in Colorado. They are just amazing.
Great experience! I really appreciated the time spent with the contacts fitting portion of the exam. I feel they really do care about their customers. They answered all my questions about purchasing glasses and the types of lenses that are available. So happy I went back :)

Update: I'd stick with the same rating. We'll be finding a givenew place to go for sure! I figured I'd give them one last try with glasses. Was sent to their optical department, nothing wrong with them. So the guys "cleans them". Now they are scratched and I now have new nose pads. Nothing wrong with the ones that were on their before and didn't ask for them to be replaced. Now they don't sit on my face as they had been adjusted for. By the way, my glasses are dirtier now than they were before you cleaned them. Less than 1 STAR. Be very careful when buying contacts from them. You'll be told oh there's a coupon for those. Beware! We have been working on trying to use the coupons (yes multiple ones they have given us because the other ones were for other products or products we didn't buy or had expired) for several months now. The last coupon they gave us, says specifically not for the items we bought. Thanks for the wait, waste of our time and giving us multiple coupons that aren't good. Also, please listen to the companies who provide the coupons. When they can provide dates you have been notified that the coupons don't work, continuing giving out the coupons are dishonest and bad business. The manger, after a few calls sent us a check for the amount of the unusable coupons. Thank you for doing this! That is why you get 2 stars.
I am very pleased with Pikes Peak Eye Center. I arrived at the Eye Center at 0900, and discovered that my appointment was for 1100, when I checked in. The staff was accommodating to my inability to arrive on time. My eyes were examined, I was fitted for glasses, my pupils were dilated, and I was out of the door before 1130. All of the staff, that I interacted with were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. All of my questions were answered, and all of my concerns were addressed. Thank you Dr. Fournier. I will recommend Pikes Peak Eye Center to all of my friends.

I have mixed feelings about this place. I have been coming here for about 2 years for eye exams and multiple follow ups. Dr.Jost was my doctor and he was great but his availability changed so I switched over to Dr.Fournier. She is a very sweet woman and very thorough but when she first met me she said "it's nice to see you again", so it had me believe she didn't care to look at my chart before coming in. She told me I needed to see her back for a follow up and when I called to schedule, the receptionist put me on hold and said "Dr.Fournier thinks that you need to make an appointment with Dr.Jost because he's your doctor." that made me pretty upset, I wasn't just going to bounce around from doctor to doctor again, plus I felt more comfortable with a female doctor and she was trying new things out to help me with my contacts that Dr.Jost had never tried. So I finally got my appointment with her and everything was fine. After trying out my contact samples I called the front desk to order my contacts. They couldn't give me cost until they finalized my order and the receptionist said she'd call me back in a few minutes but I never heard back. I called the following morning at 8:20 am and reached an answering service.

I went to your business stating how i can't see, especially far away/at night time/bad weather. You guys put me through a couple of your tests, and kept telling me i had 20/20. Funny how i tell you i can't see, and you guys just keep saying 20/20. Appreciate it.
I was told I have dry eyes, but was not told what to do for it. I was told that I have 20/25 vision but wear glasses now. When I was taking my vision test , the letters were very blurred, but I was told I did a great job and got all the letters right. I was told that I did not need a new prescription for new glasses, that the ones I have had for 3 years are fine. I noticed a change in my vision that is why I went to Pikes Peak Eye Care to get my eyes checked again , but walked out with no new results. I guess you have to have the RIGHT insurance to have proper eye care from this company.
Pikes peak eye care always makes sure my visit is quick and pleasant. I never have to wait long, I feel taken care of without taking a lot of my time, and everyone there is always friendly and professional. I came with another member of the household and we were able to go together to get our blood pressure taken and to do the preliminary exams and such, and then we were placed in separate rooms where we were taken care of and out of there within the hour. I will return to Pikes Peak eye care for as long as I live in Colorado Springs!

Frames are tacky and cheap looking, employees don't seem at all enthusiastic or welcoming. They seemed focused on making profit. Spent more time with an inexperienced technician than with the doctor. Just a bad experience overall. Very sad.

I went in for a contact lens fitting and exam for the first time at Pikes Peak Eye Care today. The front desk woman was very friendly and helpful. The technician as well as the doctor were very thorough and nice. I have work contacts for 20 years and this was one of the best eye care centers I have ever went too. I will definitely be a returning patient!

I've been going to Pike's Peak Eye Care for over 5 years now and I love the way the doctor always greets me by name and asks how things are going for me. They recently hired a new doctor, Dr. Fournier and she is wonderful, she always explains what she's seeing and why she is doing or recommending a test. When answering questions she knows how to explain at a layman's level without talking down to you. The staff is always helpful, happy and genuine. I look forward (pun intended) to my next eye exam. I don't think I can say enough good about this place. When I switched to PPEC they were very warm and welcoming. They made sure I was all squared away with my appointments and they even called me to check in. Recently, I broke my foot and received a much higher bill than expected from it. I had already ordered my contacts from PPEC and they were ready for pick up and I was sent a bill from them too. I let them know I had to unfortunately cancel my contacts pick up (because I couldn't afford it because of my hospital bill) and they were very prompt and friendly about it. I would definitely recommend Pikes Peak Eye Care to anyone looking to see an eye doctor, get contacts, or a new pair of glasses. I usually never give five stars but I cannot think of any reason not to. Everyone was extremely caring and helpful. My glasses were perfect the first time so no complaints at all.
I had the pleasure of greeting Beyelica initially, who walked me through the whole process and helped a completely neurotic guy calm down, then I had the pleasure of meeting Amanda who helped run the ocular tests before the actual exam, then Dr. Jost came in and further assisted to make me feel at ease. it was if my experience was catered to comfort. I then got to speak with John who fully explained my options for frames, lenses and prescription selection. I am absolutely blown away, I will never go anywhere else so long as this place is in business. This is top class service, go find out for yourself! Thank you all for everything you are and do!
I’m probably not the best person to write a review, as I usually try to avoid various doctor’s appointments like the plague. But, my contact prescription came due. First off, the assistant was very sweet and ran all the initial tests, though there were more tests done than I’m used to at eye visits. I let the assistant know that I had experienced a day where my vision was blurry, but being 33 weeks pregnant, I thought it was a pregnancy symptom. When I met with the doctor she said she heard I was experiencing some blurriness. Um...kinda? Not really what I said. One day does not signify a problem to me, but seemed like a huge concern to her. She went ahead a took a look at my eyes and asked if I slept in my contacts. No, I don’t. She asked if I woke up with lots of mucus in my eye. No? I do have a lot of build up at night. She seemed to disregard my answers. She told me she was seeing some issues developing in my eyes and wanted to switch me to daily contacts and said say would fit me for a pair. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m glad to know the state of my eyes, but I have a problem with a doctors just telling me what I’m going to do and not talking about options with their patients. Ultimately, my healthcare is my decision. Daily contacts cost a lot more than my 2 week brand and I have no discomfort with my contacts, so I would’ve liked to discuss it further, but instead I was just told what kind of prescription I would get. This was the first visit that I had insurance at, so I was ignorant to how things work. I usually just paid out of pocket for my visits, and they would cost about $100. The assistant then told me that my contact fitting would be $85. I didn’t know this going in and was caught off guard, but I should’ve asked more questions. Still it seemed like a lot when I could get a whole visit for close to the same price. I declined continuing with the contact fitting, as I was nervous about the eye doctor trying to push dailies on me. They also proceeded to try to get me to look at glasses. Um, I buy my glasses online where they are much cheaper. I left without a prescription in hand. Which I found out later is against the law. I read eye doctors will do this to try to get you to buy your glasses from them. I also read (after the fact) that I really should’ve waited to have my eyes checked until after I deliver my baby, as fluctuating hormones and increased fluids can mess with your eyesight temporarily. Again, that was stupid on my part. Bottom line: I felt like the doctor was more concerned about getting more money through a more expensive contact prescription and glasses than actually talking with me about the state of my eyes. I spent much more time with the assistant than with her. I didn’t like it and I would gladly pay out of pocket to see my previous provider who never pushed new brands or anything on me. Her analysis did not line up with my own experience with my eyes. Hopefully, this is just me, but I won’t be returning to see them.

I had a yearly eye exam and purchased new frames/lenses at Pikes Peak Eyecare last week. They were polite and accommodating. My Optometrist was Dr. Fournier and she was excellent. She explained all the details of my exam to me, as well as things to watch out for and how to optimize my future eyecare. My optician was also extremely knowledgeable and helped me pick a great frame. My glasses were ready within a week.
Love these guys. They are froendly, proffesipnal, have optimap. Our eye doctor for 12 years even when we moved further away. Worth the drive 1x yearly.

First off its been over a year and I'm just now writing this review, so not sure if it's changed any. But, My husband has always struggled trying to find contacts with his asigmatism. We explained it's been difficult in the past trying to find him contacts, but we're going to try again, and were looking for someone willing to try some different things and have some patience. I read the reviews on a bunch of places before coming here and this place has good reviews so we tried it. Anyways we ended up not going back because my husband kept telling the doc the contacts felt scratchy, the doctor seemed super busy and our last visit there the doctor ended up giving him trials of different contacts that were not his prescription to see if they were comfortable, but of course not when you can't see through them
The doctors are great. However, their staff who does your billing is a bunch of idiots! Three years in a row they screwed up my billing, despite having given the all the information they needed. Two years they kept billing my under my ex-husband, this year under a total stranger. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere!

I wish I had known about this place earlier. The front desk staff is so nice and they genuinely care. The doctors are very knowledgeable, patient, and personable. I highly recommend them to anyone. Also, they have both and optometrist and an ophthalmologist on staff, which can be handy.

I ordered contacts from Pikes Peak Eye Care last week and they sent them to me out-of-state and they arrived in just a few days! They sent me the rebate information as well and I ended up only having to pay $30 out of pocket for a year of contacts! The staff was very helpful in the ordering process and helped me understand my insurance benefits. I would highly recommend them!

I have gone to Pikes Peak Eye Care for over 20 years and have always been pleased with my experience there. I had a wonderful doctor there named Dr. Clyde. He recently retired so I chose to go to Dr. Jost. I had never met him before, but I found him to be professional, willing to listen and answer my questions, and very pleasant. The office staff were also very nice and helpful. Jenna was exceptional in arranging my appointment and my insurance and did so with the same professional and pleasant attitude. The assistant who did the original tests on my eyes was kind and polite. And a final thank you to the gentleman who saved my husband's mangled glasses and the lady who helped me with my glasses. It seems they just keep getting better, and I highly recommend this practice which has been operating for many years with the highest standards. Susan Terri Thomas

Pikes Peak Eye Care just took care of my children’s exam and glasses and every department was friendly and helpful. If you can see Dr. Fournier, I thought she was excellent. Great with kids. They were comfortable with her and talked about her candy tray the whole way home. It’s tough to get kids to want to see the doctor but they definitely want to come back.

This place misplaced my mother’s receipt then called her and threatened to turn it over to collections. While in a panic digging out her receipt they call her to inform her they found it. You don’t misplace a receipt at a place like this! My mother was in tears! I don’t recommend this place at all.
Called with an eye emergency for a child. They had no availability, and wouldn't recommend anyone to go see. Completely contradicts their website and what they say they're all about.
I have been a patient since the 90's. In the last couple of years, I have had a reoccurring eye problem arise and Dr.Jost and staff have always been able to fix me. I always feel very comfortable and if I ever had any issues, the staff were quick to resolve.
Everyone is very polite and helpful. Make you feel you are most important person in the office. Go out of their ways to assist you.
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, I paid almost $100 for an appointment to get a contact prescription and because I didnt follow up and let them know that the contacts didnt feel right they won't give me my prescription and in order to get another one I have to pay for another appointment out of pocket. I am a student and I'm on medicaid so I cant afford to pay for another appointment and I also will not be ever going to this place again nor will I ever refer another friend to go here !!! There are plenty of other good places to go that won't treat you like this.
I'm rating 4 of 5 stars because I did recieve friendly service from the front desk. However, the optometrist I saw messed up my prescription. So I had to come back for another eye exam. I got prescription safety glasses as well, but I'm still waiting to receive them...it's only been a month, still waiting now. Just getting the run around on when they should BOTH be ready because I don't want to make 2 trips. Update: Still haven't received my glasses, but it's not the optometrists fault, the lab they went through are taking longer than expected. Pikes Peak Eye Care actually performed an investigation into what's going on. Had my insurance also perform an investigation and we have a better understanding, now that we have communication. Pikes Peak Eye Care, this is all very frustrating but at least you're attempting to figure this out and expedite the glasses once they're ready.
Love Love Love Pikes Peak Eye Care. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. It was smooth and easy from making an appointment to choosing my glasses. Dr. Jost has a way of making you feel comfortable and speaks to you in a way everyone can understand. So very thankful that they take VA choice and their billing manager is extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with. Being a vet, it is not always easy to find companies that will take the Choice program but they do. I've been seeing them for years and will continue for years. I always recommend them to my friends.
