I have been going here for over 4 years now. Yes at times there is a wait but it is usually because of emergencies. I receive shots in my eyes once a month, it has saved my vision! Have had cataract surgery in left eye, it went so awesomely, I'm now scheduled to have other eye done. The staff is so friendly! As for parking, there is a parking garage, don't want to be towed, don't park where you shouldn't.. I will recommend this office to all my family and friends, you can NOT have your eyes in better hands.

Robert Wehler

The doctors and staff are wonderful. Omni will expect you to pay immediately, but DON'T EVER OVERPAY. The billing department and especially one member of that department will sit on your refund and you will spend a great deal of your time and energy trying to get it back in a timely fashion. It depends on who owes who!! In asking around, this is a very well known fact, cause of patient frustration and greatly diminishes the experience with the other good departments due to this one horribly managed department. Also, good luck in getting ahold of them. Be aware!!!!

Lousy place. I had an appointment at 3pm. Technician saw me for the first 20mins. Afterwards waited in the waiting room until 5pm. Doctor came to see me, and talked to me for 5 mins. He then stated he would be right back. I then hear him greet another patient and stayed with them until 525. I had to leave. Can't speak on their quality of work because they didn't do anything. I'm just speaking from my experience with them today.

Terrible experience. The surgeon was fine as far as I know but the staff was alternately so patronizing and patriarchal I walked out before my surgery. Waiting times were one hour plus. The receptionists in the surgical center have graduate degrees in hostility training. If I hadn't have walked out, I fear I would have hit one of them. In my opinion, having spent hours in their waiting room observing the interactions, this office is structured to keep the waiting room full and protect themselves from liability. The lives and well being of their patients run a distant second. Avoid at all costs!

I was referred to this group by my primary eye doctor and was extremely displeased with both the office and the doctor. The staff is extremely rude and disorganized and the doctor has no idea how to treat his patients when they are facing the possibility of blindness. Thankfully I obtained a second opinion right away and was started on treatment right away to prevent any further eye damage. Would avoid this place at all costs, especially if you value your eye sight!

My experience with omni was great from start to finish. I was injured on the the job and required emergency surgery. Dr.Teeter performed the surgery without any issues in the following weeks I was In The office quite a few times and every time the staff worked as a team everyone knew what they were doing the efficiency made me feel comfortable something to me is necassary when dealing with my eyeballs. The staff knew me by name everyone is super friendly and short wait times. The facility was state of the art. All around great place to go when you need a eye specialist. Thanks again Dr. Teeter and the rest of the staff at Omni eye

I had a cataract surgery scheduled and 5 days before surgery they canceled, said it wasn't bad enough at this time.I had to be cleared through my primary care physician with blood tests that cost money and 150 dollars in prescription eye drops. Why make me go through all these tests and appointments and then cancel my surgery.Left hand doesn't know what the Right hand is doing.Too many doctors and too many patients and too many staff that cant communicate together.

Emmanuel Madueke

The best medical outfit for eyes in the state of Colorado. Dr. Benel is one of the world class practitioners in this setup. You have to witness this yourself, or talk to someone who has been there.

Waited over a month for test results that my doctor is looking to review. After following up with them directly they sent only a small part of the results. Now following up again and hopefully they will send them. Please don't send customers around from one department to another when they are calling to find out what how to get their test results.

Dr Sitole is great, had surgery 4 times now I believe and my daughter will be having surgery soon too. Not too fond of his scheduler but that's about it. Love that they now have am office in Brighton!

I am surprised by the negative comments, although I haven’t been billed yet. Everyone was very nice and professional. I thought Dr Teeter had a confidence and manner that made me very comfortable. They’ve got great technology that my doctor doesn’t have and I am very thankful for that.

I recently came down with Shingles that was headed for my right eye. I was lucky enough to see the Dr’s here at Omni they are wonderful and caring and put my mind at ease so I didn’t have to worry about it. Thank you Dr. Amiel and Dr. Zang! I would recommend Omni to my family and friends

This dr and his staff are rude horrible bedside manner. His technitions are even worse - they act like they are doctors. I wouldn't suggest omni eye specialist. Office management also bad. The receptionists was unpleasant, either. The front desk associates need training that they lacks basic human skills, very rude, inconsiderate and not willing to help. The whole experience was rude and demeaning. The service of the Madison St. office is very bad. U better to complain online or the bbb, a news channel, instead of manager. I wouldn't recommend.

This place is horrible. My dad started going to this location with Dr. Tetter because is diabetic, he was referred to Dr. Sitole for surgery of his eyelids because he couldn't see. Well Dr. Sitole has horrible bedside manners, he does not care other than making money, from day 1 I told my dad we should find a different doctor. Surgery was done but the results were horrible, someone straight out of school could have done better. 2 weeks later we had to return to do the surgery again because it was botched, 3 weeks later we return again because surprise it was botched again, 1 week later we return because my dad's stitches tore and at this point his eyelid was completely open and at the beginning of an infection. Guess what 1 week after that repair we return again for the same problem, but this time we return angry because we were told the previous night to go in the morning, we head down and drive for 30 minutes only to find out that Dr. Sitole isn't even in that day...but guess what, they don't care...we had to go back the next day to have it repaired again...1 week later here we go again...apparently this Dr has no clue what he is doing. At this point my dad's eyes are so red and irritated because the worthless Dr. Sitole sutured the corners of my dad's eyes too much and now my dad has many eyelashes stuck in the corner of his eye...but Dr. Sitole says that is fine and the eye will get use to it. Went and got a second opinion and the second Dr said Dr. Sitole did a horrible job and he should return my dad's money because whatever he did...didn't even help with my dad's vision. Whatever you do stay away from this place!

Omni Eye Specialists have handled several issues with my eyes, including dry eyes and cataract surgery. The surgery was explained well personally by the surgeon, before and after, and improved my vision dramatically. Lipiflow and other supports have greatly improved my dry eye problems, and I plan to continue monitoring with the Omni specialists.

Before cataracts were removed from both my eyes and corrective lens installed. by Dr Howard Amiel, I researched to find the best specialist Dr Amiel was at the top. Afterward, the surgery, I would say Dr Amiel was the cream of the top. His chosen staff including Dr Zhang who did the pre and post ops,; Ron, the technician; the anesthesiologists; the nurses,Ellen and Olivia; and the rest of the staff were excellent, all professional, kind, and caring like Dr Amiel. Dr Amiel did a pain free surgery that enabled me to drive 24 hours afterward and to read with no glasses I am totally happy with his work and I highly recommend him. I have now used the doctors at Omni Eye for over a year. First for a retinal reattachment and then this year for cataract surgery. The medical staff is fantastic, everything else there is a wreck. From the phone system to billing is one major car wreck. They don't answer your questions, don't follow up, and overcharge and don't explain. Use the doctors with total confidence but be prepared for issues with everything else. Since I wrote this twice I was told I was going to hear back about billing issues and never heard from them. Waste of time.... had an appointment at 9am, didn't get measurements til 9:40, and then didnt see a doctor until 11:15am just to be told he was not the right doctor to see. No respect for my time and wasted 2 and a half hours of my workday just to be told I need to come back in November when the right doctor is there.... that is 2 months from now. Totally disorganized and unprofessional. I made an appointment and filled out the form online and when I showed up for my appointment nobody even knew I was coming.

I have never encountered such horrible customer service in my life! The billing department is a complete joke. Four months after my procedure I received a bill showing I owed more than double what my estimate was. I called numerous times to get an answer as to why I was being charged this outrageous amount and could never get an answer. I even tried talking to the billing dept managaer and kept getting told she was "out of the office" or that they would leave a message. I lost track of how many times I was told someone would call me back and never did. This was by far the most frustrating experience I've ever had dealing with a billing department. It's honestly mind-blowing how they can get away with charging people incorrectly, intentional or not. I wish I would have read these reviews prior to choosing this office and I would have saved myself a huge headache and money!

Rachel Gragert

So difficult to work with and poor customer service. I also got bills 4 months after I had already paid everything and was told the contracted amount included everything. I got billed by Madison St and Omni Eye for the same thing to boot. Gave 1 star because the surgeon was good and the surgery went well. But mostly because I couldn't give zero- not worth all the extra heart ache. Please look around and find another provider.

I had the unfortunate experience of working in the billing department for 2 1/2 months, from October 2016 to December 2016. This is by far the worst place I have ever worked. I am speaking about the billing department only and not the doctors. If you receive a bill at all it will probably be 4-6 months after your visit. And it will probably be incorrect. QUESTION EVERY BILL YOU RECEIVE FROM THEM. Payments are posted incorrectly and their billing software (NextGen) is programmed to send statements to patients regardless of whether they actually owe on the visit or not. Best of luck to the poor, unfortunate souls who have to deal with the billing department.

I went through laser work with these folks in August 2016. I paid all my deductibles at the time of service. June of 2017, I get another bill. They had changed their billing service and found an error. I paid the balance. Then in January of 2018, I get another bill and they once again tell me it's because they changed their billing service. When I spoke to the billing department I was treated like I had never paid a dime. The service and doctors of the Madison Street office is not worth the hassle. There are other more professional eye surgery clinics in Denver. I would not recommend this location.

Molly Murphy

The doctor himself was fabulous - really liked him a lot. However, at my initial visit he indicated that I had a small infection so he wrote me a prescription for some drops and wanted to see me back in a week (and that was after waiting more than an HOUR to see him). On that initial visit I paid my co-pay as usual and went back a week later for my follow up. I then received a bill for another co-pay. After going round and round with billing, Omni charges every single time you walk in the door including a follow up visit from your initial treatment! Most doctor visits they charge you only for your initial visit NOT for the 3 min follow up. I will not be back.

Paula Anderson

I had bilateral cataract surgery. Dr. Wang is definitely a great surgeon, but I cannot say much for the running of his office. No one ever contacted me about my surgery on the date and time they were supposed to call me. I called them twice after that before getting to speak with someone. Billing was a nightmare. They didn't call in my Rx as stated. No one knew that I was having different lenses inserted and I had to call them and tell them the day before the surgery (I was calling because I had a feeling they forgot something and I was nervous because they had been so inept). If I had to do this again, I would probably find someone else just to avoid the stress and confusion associated with dealing with the office.

Dr. Shukla was good, but their billing is atrocious. They had a "billing issue" that resulted in some services not being billed, some over 18 months. This cost me personally several hundred dollars due to strategic timing on met deductibles. New ownership wouldn't work with me, offered a "payment plan," then sent me to collections when I asked for arbitration. Multiple retinal detachment surgeries over 10 years billed at 100's of thousands of dollars and they sent me to collections for $500 because I asked for some of it to be waived (it was their "billing issue" not mine). OMNI Eye doesn't care about patients, only payments.

Devon Lee

My wife and I have been going to this specialist for approx a year now. My wife is diabetic and she received steroids and laser treatment in both eyes. The first laser treatment she received, we were able to pay for it in 4 months as they broke the payments in increments. We were scheduled for an appointment today for the same treatment. I received a call yesterday stating we must pay half of the payment today and half for our next appointment. After claiming we are unable to pay right now, we were told they cannot break the payments into increments. We were also told to set another appointment for more steroid shots when the laser treatment was recommended again. My problem is why did they not explain this to us a month ago when we booked the appointment? Why wait until the day before to tell us we have to pay or basically not receive services and that is what occurred. During our experience there, there are some nice and professional doctor's and nurses. However, if you don't have the money when they want it, then you do not get the services!! That's very unfortunate as we believe all doctors are to care for the patient and work with them. I am very upset about all of this and hope no one else has to got through this unprofessional procedure. We put our faith in the Lord and we will always walk with him!

Update on 5/2019: I stopped going to this place about a year ago because of these issues. This month (5/19) I received a letter and stack of statements from them. The letter states, "It has recently come to our attention that the billing system for Omni Eye Specialist has not generated patient statements for several months." They now want me to pay close to $3,000 of invoices that date back to as far as December of 2017! That was 18 months ago! How is one even supposed to reply/respond this this? How can one even go back that far and figure out what insurance paid for and why and what/why one owes them money for? Hey Omni, I intend to lawyer up this time and I hope others do as well. Hey local news, this would make a great story. They failed to send a bill for 18 months. Then call me and threaten to send the account to collections if I don't pay. I ask for a statement. They say that if I don't pay now the account will go into collections. All for less than $500 when I have spent tens of thousand with them. I am looking for a new place to get my procedures done. UPDATED 2/25/17 now, years later, AFTER I PAID IN FULL, I just got a notice from a collection company that I owe $61.00. If you go to this place plan on having problems with their inept accounting department!!!

After getting my appointment confirmed, I received a call in which they informed me approximately how long would the tests take and the fact that I was going to get my pupils dilated. This helped me to plan the rest of my day. Loved how I was treated and the personnel was very helpful and friendly.

Dr Wang has been great answering any questions that I have. He also explains everything.

I just called our primary eye Dr. that sent us here and told her never to send another patient. They took our insurance without authorizing it and not telling me it was not authorized so I did not know to check if it was out of network which it was, so I am resonsible for 100 percent of the bill.

No short cuts here. The doctors are very thorough and I have had great results. I would not trust any other Doctors with my eyes.

Steven Moak

I had both my cataracts operated on within a 2-week period and opted for the Lyric lens in both eyes. The nursing staff was always professional and caring. Dr. Howard Amiel was reassuring and is a true professional/artist for his profession. I would recommend Dr. Amiel and Omni Eye Specialists to all my friends and family. Oh yeah thanks for my 20/20 vision !!!!!

Never ontime usually takes 30 minutes or longer to get to a room. It can take 2-3 hours just to get through a visit.

Mike Abell

Very unprofessional operation. They waisted an hour of my time filling out forms and talking to their nurse and them informed my thy would not accept my insurance. They refused to even give me a cash price and would only see me if I gave them a blank check.

Samantha Darbin

My mom has been referred here and she hasn't even been able to make an appointment yet and the service she has received is absolutely unnecessary. Whoever answers the phone is completely rude and unprofessional. Definitely shouldn't be working with the public.

Preston Summers

The front desk associate, Mallory, lacks basic human skills needed for greeting and checking in people at the front desk, such as understanding and compassion. Doing your job , and adhering to rules is one thing, but being rude, inconsiderate and not willing to help when it is not even the patient's oversight is another. I would sign her up for some mandatory training in customer service skills if I were her boss. It is a shame because Dr. Belen is outstanding!!! I would give him 10 stars if I could for treating all patients, especially patients with dementia with such skill, patience, courtesy, compassion and understanding. The Centennial office personnel could deliver lessons in impeccable customer service.

I scheduled an appointment at 130pm with Dr Shukla on May 17th. The text service texted me 3 times (and made me respond) that my appointment was at 140pm. I show up at 140pm and sit in the waiting room until 2pm. A really nice lady did my initial exam from 2-210pm. I then sat in a different waiting room from 210-310pm waiting for Dr Shukla. So an hour later, he walks in and says "so what can we help you with?". Once I stated I was there for a second opinion and did a quick run through of my first opinion, Dr Shukla made up his mind about me before even examining me. From that point on my interaction with Dr Shukla was rushed, I felt he was dismissive - bordering on condescending - and I did not feel like he was listening to me. Anytime I asked a question completely unrelated to my diagnosis, he would just repeat my diagnosis to me. He refused to even acknowledge other questions and basically badgered me into leaving. This was the most frustrating doctor appointment I have ever had. I have no problems with the diagnosis Dr Shukla gave me, that is the whole reason I came in, to make sure another doctor hadn't missed anything. But he gave me diagnosis without examining me and then treated me like he had better things to do. When a doctor doesn't even listen to your questions and just starts talking "at you", it is absolutely time to find another doctor. I would never return to Dr Shukla or Omni, the whole experience was negative and demeaning.

Lobo Jed

Nakia Drumgo

Everything and everyone was very professional. Dr. Zhang was awesome

My referral was ignored until my eye doctor called their own MD. Every provider was nice, professional, & worked to be certain all of my questions were answered. For TriCare beneficiaries, they have one person who is most familiar w/it & the requirements. However, nobody knew that Select beneficiaries do not need a referral from their Primary Care Providers however Prime requires that PCP referral. When I explained that to the people at the front desk, no one believed me. While they did not say that, they ignored my efforts to save them time & energy by making calls to TriCare & all that involves. It was subtly insulting but no one explained why they proceeded as if I didn't know what I was talking about @ best or lying @ worst. There is a packet of forms to complete before seeing anyone. An email w/them to be filled out would save them time. Because of the providers, I would refer others w/these comments so they're prepared.

Dr. Amiel is fantastic. Most of the staff great. Only issue, which is huge is that they will not let you come to a surgery without a 'friend or family member". So if you are new to the area watch out because they mean this literally. They will not let you come with a caregiver trained and insured by one of the home care companies in the area unless you prove they are a friend or a relative. I had to move on to a different provider after spending money and time going through all the pre-operative procedures.

WOW insanely flawed parking! Private corporate eye doctor using private parking police to ticket clients after parking in cramped visitor parking to get help from a FDA doctor who doesn't even know what Astaxanthin is for eye health! If one person parks wrong, you'll be forced to park on a yellow line! The enforcer told me "the owners don't care" and continued ticketing numerous people coming to doctor appointments!! I was so amazed by his willfully ignorant statements that I took video and photo of numerous cars "improperly parked" because one car is parked too far inside the divided space next to him or her. Security enforcer took the ticket back when I wanted to call police and walked off. I took video of reserved parking spaces and they were right across from us but had wider spaces the same size as handicap parking!!! Talk about entrapment of their own clients and protecting employees. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS EYE CENTER! SHAME ON YOU C. Edward Williams O.D. I started out seeing Dr. Amiele and he was horrible. Worst bed side manner and does not care about you after you see him. I had an issue (serious side effect) with a med he prescribed and called in immediately to see how I should deal with it. I got a call back two weeks later! I saw other doctors in the practice soon after and they had better bed side manner but could not seem to have enough tools in the bag to solve my eye issues. After leaving this practice, It has become clear to me that they are not willing to solve the hard to diagnose issues. They would rather have you schedule more appointments and wait hours in their waiting room for no real positive outcomes after seeing the doctor. After six months of calls to get their bills sent to me I am still waiting.... I have left the practice with no resolution to my eye issues nor my insurance bill payment issues. Stay Away !!

My father has had cataracts surgery on both eyes here. They told him to be here for surgery at 1030, did not even take him back for at least an hour. Both times we were told it would it would be an hour or hour and a half. Both times it took at least 2 hours. The second time, I inquired after 2 hours and was told he hadn't even had surgery yet. No communication to family waiting on patients. Terrible time management from the staff, they certainly are not friendly, or anywhere close to efficient. Given a choice I would not deal with this office ever again. Doctor might be fine but office management blows.
