DESCRIPTION

Here you will be able to see all the reviews of real people who consumed the products of Montgomery Eye Care (Ophthalmologist) in Colorado area.

To this day this firm has a score of 2.5 over 5 and that rating was based on 13 reviews.

You must have seen that the average of ratings is really weak, and it's founded on quite a few scores, so the valuation is more or less reliable, although it doesn't have a enough number of scores to grant it absolute credibility.

You know that we do not usually stop to write opinions when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...

This Ophthalmologist is classified in the category of Ophthalmologist.

Called and scheduled two appointments as directed. (Possible glaucoma) Stayed on phone over15 minutes to obtain. Went to first appointment and was told no record of my appointment. Very upsetting. Went to second appointment. Was there for two hours for testing. Assistant conducting testing was not knowledgeable regarding equipment, had terrible communication skills. Doctor was nice but only spoke with him for maybe 5 minutes. Then was told I need additional testing. Went to make appointment and would need to complete tests and come back again to review two different days. Staff seemed put out because I could only come on Monday or Friday. The appointment was end of December and then into January. When I tried to ask a question was shushed...Staff not knowledgeable and rude.

I had cataract surgery on both eyes 3 years ago. Dr. Montgomery made my left eye nearsighted, and right eye farsighted. "I have the best of both worlds!" I can hold a book 5" or 24" from my face and read. I have had some problems at night while driving with oncoming cars lights, but it has not been overwhelming. Doctor Montgomery and his staff have "always" been extremely professional. I highly recommend this group of pros to anyone looking for eye care.

Dr. Montgomery is a good doctor and I have always had a great experience with him. His associate is okay, but nearly as good as Dr. Montgomery. However, the real problem is with the office staff. While they seem professional and are nice, just about every appointment I've had in the last few years has been messed up. Appts cancelled without being told, showing up for an appt and find the office closed, being sent to the wrong location, requesting Dr. Montgomery and actually get another doctor, finding out he dropped VSP when I went to pay and I had never been notified. The latest is I had an appt for tests that I'd been having for the past several years, every year, and finding out the doctor, not Dr. Montgomery hadn't ordered any; he didn't feel they were necessary. That's fine but he never told me that so I wasted an hour of my time driving and waiting to be seen to find this out. As much as I like Dr. Montgomery, I am tired of all the problems and unfortunately will be looking for a new doctor. I think it is too bad when a good doctor loses patients, but that is the way it is.

They are a nice clean office on the inside. They got me an appointment with an hour of calling the morning I woke up and had a messed up eye. They accept Medicaid. I was here about 30 minutes.

I really can't believe I'm dealing with this after cataract surgery. My expectation was to have better vision not the worst vision I've ever had in my life. Glasses or no glasses, I'm in a really bad place. I used to be a tailor... will have to sell my machine. I used to do construction... very difficult to see clearly enough to do efficient work. I've been an Antique dealer for over 40 years. Unable to see the details. Can't read the computer. Can't read a book. I have distance vision in one eye and near vision in the other. I think this must have been an experiment. I've got news... It didn't work. When I remove my glasses which helps me see distance, I feel like my right eye is broken everything is blurry, With my glasses I can't see up close at all. It never clears up. My vision is always blurry. I haven't driven farther than a mile for over 2 months. I guess I'll sell my camper. As far as working, everything has been on hold until I know how to drive and read. I believe the rushed 3rd surgery is what damaged my vitreous. On one eye, they took their time. Put in one drop, let it sit for a couple minutes. Put in the next drop. Let that sit and then I sat for about 15 minutes before going into surgery. But my right eye, all three drops were put in on right after the other and then right into surgery. Instead of allowing the eye drop medication to work on my eyes, I was rushed into surgery. I was in so much pain following surgery and the next day my face was swollen out to my ear. 4 to 6 months they are saying to find out if my vision will get better. I don't know how I'm going to pay my mortgage. I've not been able to work or ANY of the wonderful things I did before the surgery. If you plan on cataract surgery, I recommend you google... 'The Best Cataract Surgeons'. I wish I had done that. Hind sight is NOT 20/20. I'm totally on the couch and a lot of stress, worry and pain. If I had known, I would have NEVER had this surgery. This isn't something you can easily undo. It's expensive and long term Think...be wise.

Seems similar to others. I waited a month for my appt at 11:45 today. Arrived at 11:40. At 12:30, I still was not seen. When I asked, I was told that it would likely be another 45 minutes before being seen, but that if I did not like that "I could just leave." In summary, that would be waiting 1.5 hours AFTER my scheduled time. Seeing the other reviews before me, this place has absolutely no consideration of a patient's schedule. If they did have any, they would have called me (omg...yes, they had my contact info), and stated that they were running late. Of course, that did not happen.

Absolutely the worst customer service ever. First time I went here I had an appointment at 3:30 was not seen until almost 5. As a nurse myself I could hear staff violating HIPPAA by saying patient names and information in ear shot of 8 people in the waiting room. Extremely unprofessional. And illegal. The second appointment for a small outpatient procedure was scheduled for 1 still had not been seen at 2. Gave them my appointment card that clearly said 1 and tried to tell me my appointment was at 1:40. Awful, awful, awful.

First off worst service ever! I seen the doc the first time and literally took 5 mins to see me and didn't seem concerned. So i said ok maybe it was a bad day for the doc. Well made a 2nd appt and its scheduled for 3pm and guess what its 4pm and still haven't been seen. No one even bothered to say im sorry he running late or nothing. I arrived 15 min prior to my appt. I work in the medical field and this place is not set up for patient care how is should be, they definitely need customer service and communication classes.

I will not recommend dr. Montgomery to anyone, I had eye surgery there and came out worse then went in. Staff was very nice but Doctor Montgomery made jokes about my problem after surgery.

Bernadette Coltrinari

The communication from this group is the worst. The feel of the office is like a robot factory, come in I'll spend a few minutes of my time with you and maybe care about your needs. My daughter wanted contact lenses and their help was terrible, and never received a call back on whether or not contacts were in to come and try on. Their billing department is something to be desired too, when I had my appt. the bill was totally incorrect and it took several calls with them to finally get it straight. I will not return, if you can find someone else for your eye care I would consider it instead of this group.
