They have an incredible selection of glasses, but most importantly, their customer service is amazing.

That old lady though who answers the phone. Wow what poor attitude. I’m terrified to get my eyes worked on now. She has been mean every single time. It’s time for retirement. I also never booked an appointment because she was so disgusting to speak to yet I got a bill in my mail for a missed appointment. This is ridiculous. First off, I would never schedule appointment at such a poor establishment. B. Is it even legal to send fake invoices for $25.00. You will regret that. Enjoy your next 5 reviews.

Dr.Nervick was great. Staff, however, was not! Will seek eye care elsewhere.

Picked up something in my eye riding motorcycle (sunglasses on, helmet shield up). Urgent care couldn't help me (no tools seemed to work - another story.) Searched for an Ophthalmologist and saw Dr May the next day. Explained my severe phobia of anything touching my eye. Quick evaluation. Distracted me enough for him to numb my eye and able to remove the "foreign object" from my cornea. My eye was infected, so quick prescription sent off to my pharmacy and I was on my way. Front desk was friendly on way in and out. No complaints and would recommend Dr May for this type of procedure any day as he was confident and appeared to have done it numerous times. Probably get my glasses from him now instead of Lenscrafters.

Dr. May is very nice, professional, and personable. I went for a basic eye exam. The doctor was only with me 5-10 minutes of the 45 minutes I sat in the patient room. The rest of the time he spent helping 3-4 other patients in separate rooms. I kind of expected dedicated time during my appointment, not to be part of a tag team. Also, I was interested in looking at new frames, but all of their frames are locked to the display. I asked if there was a trick into releasing the glasses to try on, they said a clerk would have to follow me around and unlock every single pair that I was interested in. How terribly inconvenient!!! Due to this, I will not be buying new frames at this place. I really doubt they will be in business for very long...

Dr. May is great! The support staff is very friendly and helpful. I love working with Melissa on picking my frames!

great place! I had cataract surgery back in July and I couldn't be happier. BOTH doctors there are so nice and friendly, also they go into detail of what's going on with your eyes. Nicole ( I think ) was great explaining the billing and run down of the process of the surgery. Front desk was also helpful and nice when any questions I had.

Their front desk staff is friendly for the most part, but got wrapped up in their own conversations too often when I needed help. Kevin May is a great doctor and is personable.

The doctors here seem to provide good care, but dealing with the office staff makes for an incredibly unpleasant experience. Katie is the only staff person in this office who has provided professional, friendly service. Melissa and the billing lady are very difficult and they are not there to please or serve patients. For example, I went to pick up my contact lenses and the billing lady told me that Melissa is the only one who could give them to me. Melissa is very busy all of the time and she was helping other patients. I waited for 30 minutes and then left because I couldn't wait anymore. I returned an hour later and Melissa was with the same customers. I then told the billing lady that I couldn't wait anymore and asked if anyone else could give me my lenses. She got up, got them, gave them to me, I paid, and I left. She could have done this the first time! Melissa is difficult, does not try to resolve problems and is quite stand -offish. The glasses are all individually locked up, so even if you want to give this place some business, it's hard because you need a staff person to walk around and unlock each individual pair that you want to try. After dealing with this staff, I don't think I have the patience or the desire to spend any more time with them than needed. I will be looking for a better provider.

if I could give no stars, I definitely would. the front desk is beyond rude and lack customer service skills! they don't seem to have straight answers either. they have signs saying you pay $20 if you get contacts or glasses, which is incorrect. also, they ask if you WANT glasses. I asked if my mom needed them, the assistant said no, but if she wants some, she could. why would they offer that if she does not need any?! the receptionist is clueless about everything I asked, she would ask Linda the manager. as far as the doctor, he was quick for the consultation. but he's not very good at being thorough about what needs to be done. over all, a horrible experience at a terrible facility. seems as if they're just money hungry and not concerned about the actual patients well being. GO ANYWHERE ELSE, BUT HERE.

If I could give this place less that one star I would! The eye doctors were great but the staff is an absolute nightmare. My 11 year old wanted contacts for the first time and the office refused to order them for her after I called multiple times they would claim they were ordering them and never call. I did miss her first appointment witch is the reason I needed to re order. Now skip ahead 6 months and we still have no contacts. Melissa claims that the FDA wont let them fill apparently after 5 months witch is a total lie. Eye glass and contacts prescriptions are good for at least a year. She told me we would need another eye exam witch is totally unnecessary. I called other offices in the area willing to help fill my daughters contacts all I needed was her prescription.

I wish I had read the reviews before I brought my 81 yeard old Mom to this place. Kayla was great but Dr May wow - all I can say worst bedside manner ever. She left this place in tears after practically being told the work they had done did not work and there was nothing they or anyone else could do for her. Let me just say that it's not what he told her is the way he told her - very unpleasant experience and a waste of money

Be careful with this place. My wife had an appointment here and everything seemed okay. Couple months down the road we get a call from collections stating that they were going to come after us! This place did not have our address entered into the system correctly and they were sending the bill to the wrong place for months. Never once did we get a call from them or an email. When the staff was confronted about it they acted like it was no big deal after we paid it in full the moment we knew we owed them something. This place is a joke, seriously, the reviews about the staff are all correct. Will never be back and will tell everyone I know to stay away.

So for not so good. Dr. May seems very nice. The front office staff is NOT friendly. Twice no call the day before my visit. They would rather be "right" than help a patient. This kind of attitude upfront seems hostile and outdated. With so many choices in the healthcare field rude folks up front will cost you customers. My suggestion... just start somewhere else. When I asked to speak directly to the Dr about the issue I had with the from desk I was told NO. So I said OK... how about Dr Mays email so I can chat with him about these issues. Linda "office manager" Said... Chuckle chuckle "we don't do that. Here you can have my email address" Linda... Why would I email you about a problem I'm having with you? "

Awful place. I can never get ahold of them. They charged me way more than what they were supposed to AND gave me the wrong contacts. My family and I have gone to them for as long as I can remember. I'll never go back.

The doctors here are great but one time I visited, the older clerk at the desk was acting kinda rude! I asked here to unlocked the glasses to try them on, but she pretend d didn’t here anything and kept talking to other clerk! I had to asked her 3 times! Don’t recommend this place! It used to very nice, convenience but the service getting worst!

I cannot say enough great things about my visit on Tuesday 6/26/18. The doctors and staff went above and beyond to help me with an urgent issue with one of my eyes. They were prompt, compassionate, and accommodating. Thank you so very much!!

Many members of my family, and myself, are long time customers of May Eye Care. That changed today. Back in April 2015 I purchased a $50.00 pair of sunglasses from May. They came with a written one year guarantee. Three months later the UV coating and mirror coating came off and I took them back and showed Melissa, the optician at May. She agreed the glasses were covered by warranty but she was unable to replace them at the time because they didn't have a same pair in stock. I told Melissa that I would keep the glasses and we both agreed that if another pair arrived, she would replace them. Today, many visits later, they had them in stock, but in a very slightly different color. I was told that they no longer made the same color as the ones I own, therefore I would have to pay $25.00 towards replacing my glasses (under the same warranty they came with in the first place!) Why? I explained that I was not going to pay for the same glasses twice, as this made no sense to me. Melissa just stared at me indifferently and obviously she didn't care. May Eye Care did not honor their product warranty. I will leave May Eye Care, and take my family with me. As a business owner myself, I would NEVER lose a group of loyal longtime customers over $25.00. Sad!! Also, prior to leaving today, I was going to order an expensive pair of Oakley prescription sunglasses, but not now. Ill take my business elsewhere.

Great on price for glasses and contacts. Never had Dr. May for a ophthalmologist, only bought glasses from his facility.

The doctors here are wonderful. Very throrough and pleasant to work with. My issue is with the scheduling process. I was an established patient for 3 years. At my last appointment, I was allowed to schedule 3 days prior to my actual yearly benefits kicked in so ended up having to pay out of pocket for an appointment that should have been covered by insurance had I been notified that I wasn't eligible for an exam that day. I wasn't notified of this until I was checking out and purchasing my contacts. The staff was able to pull up my eligibility date for yearly eye exam and purchasing contacts at that time so they are clearly able to see this information on their end for established patients. Had this been caught during scheduling or check-in, I could have avoided paying an extra $200 for a simple clerical error. What's the point of asking for my insurance info when checking in if you're not actually checking to see if my insrance is covering the appointment that day??? Ultimately patients should check their own benefits with their insurance, but if the office staff is able to pull up this info during check out, it would be helpful if they also looked at this when checking in so that there are no surprises to patients. While the doctors are exceptional, this unfortunate experience has led me to seek care elsewhere in the future. ----- addendum 5/6/19 I returned today to order my contacts and settle the bill. The front office staff acknowldged the error and ended up applying a discount to lessen the blow of having to self-pay for my exam which should have been covered through insurance. I understand that they did not have to do this, but appreciated the gesture very much. They also said they would check benefits to prevent this from occuring in the future. As a customer, I truly appreciate the acknowledgement of error and effort to correct the problem so others don't have to deal with the same problem. I will amend my review to 4 stars and plan to return in the future.

I made an appointment with May Eye Care. I missed my appointment due to forgetting about it. At no point, did I receive a reminder call, email or text message regarding the appointment. I received an invoice in the mail in January 2019 with a $25 charge for not showing to the appointment. Meanwhile, I called the office and spoke with Katie explaining to her that I would not purposely forget an appointment. I also let her know that I did not get a reminder call, text, or email. In addition, she told me she would speak with the office manager to see about getting the fee waived, and get back to me, which she did not. I recently received another invoice in the mail, and called the office again explaining the situation telling Katie that I would not just disregard an appointment. She stated “a call is a courtesy and that it is not their responsibility to keep track of customers appointments”. I ask her to speak with the office manager. She stated “He is busy with patients” so she took my information down and said he would return my call, which he did not. In conclusion, I am very disappointed in the lack of professionalism of this office. We are all human and forget things in life. I have been making appointments for 40 years and have always received a reminder in regards to my appointments. I will be sure that I pass my experience along to all websites that I can leave a review on as well as friends and family.

Dr. May was the only Dr. out of 4 that was able to diagnose and treat the problem I was having with my eye. I was very happy and would go back with any eye problems as well as send family and friends there. The staff was not overly friendly, not rude. Unremarkable.

Doctor was nice and professional. Wish I would of read reviews. Waited 30 min for my child to get a trial pair of contacts then got attitude from the lady at the front desk. Terrible customer service. Downright rude. Even my child noticed how terrible their attitude was. Was a great teaching moment for my kids to show them how NOT to act if they are working in customer service. Told them they wouldn’t last a week in a job with an attitude like that.

This was my first time visiting May Eye Care! I had an amazing experience. I visited with Dr. Wright. Dr. Wright took her time throughout my exam and answered all of the questions that I had. The team was very easy and friendly to work with. I will return in the future!

Very professional, good music to browse to, nice glasses, and great customer service.

I had a great experience at Dr. May's office. The eye exam was thorough and all of my questions were answered. The office staff was great to work with and they were helpful in getting me set up with the right frames after my exam. The pricing seems very competitive, and I was able to get exactly what I wanted. Thank you.
