I had cataract surgery on my left eye a month and a half ago and today I am going in for my right eye at 6:30 AM today, because I was so satisfied with the first surgery. I got a multi-focal lens and my vision in my left eye is now 20/20 and I can read some of the letters on the 20/15 line. I am very excited and can't sleep waiting for my check in time of 6;30 this morning. The laser surgery was painless and everyone was really professional and caring. The multi-focal lens is a bit pricy but to have 20/20 in both eyes for the rest of my life is priceless. No need for lasik or glasses anymore.

One of the more thorough doctors I have seen. Took time to explain everything and show me a video on the procedure he was going to do.

I normally don't write reviews. But for these guys i had to. Horrible service! Went in there first week of April. They said they will consult with my physician and call me.it's been a month now. I keep calling them and they say they will call me back but NEVER DO. The service is pathetic. Please don't go and waste your time.

The staff was very attentive and professional. they made my 90 year old mother feel like she was their only concern. she loved the entire staff and feels very confident with the care she is receiving. I was very impressed, they went above and beyond to help her enjoy the sight she has left and hopefully recover some of her sight. I would recommend their office to anyone.

It takes a LOT for me to leave a negative review. I had the absolute worst experience at Margolis Vision in Lone Tree today. In fact, I've had much better experiences at Walmart and Target vision centers. I called the office a few hours prior to my visit to make sure that my benefits had been verified and that they had all of my information correct. The lady on the phone suggested that I call my insurance company myself to verify benefits and just to bring my card into the office. This seemed odd to me, I'm already aware of my vision coverage but wanted to make sure that they accepted my insurance and that I wasn't going to be surprised by out of pocket expenses. When I asked her pricing on a contact fitting, she told me that she wasn't sure and that it just depends. Even if she didn't know the exact number, an estimate would have been nice. I arrived at least 10 minutes early for paperwork, etc. After handing over my paperwork (a ridiculous amount by the way... can't paperwork be done online these days...), the lady at the desk then decided to call my insurance company to verify benefit coverage. Shouldn't this be done prior to the visit? YES, it absolutely should be done beforehand!!! What a complete waste of time. I sat there with my daughter for at least 40 minutes while she attempted to verify my insurance then told me incorrect information about my coverage. I asked her to call back to double check which was obviously asking a lot based on her tone... Another 15-20 minutes goes by. She came back and told me what was covered and what wasn't and then walked off into another room. At this point, I had been there over an hour. It felt like I was at a used car dealership going back and fourth with a salesman on pricing and coverage. I saw the doc stroll through with coffee and he was very concerned about rescheduling appointments from the day before due to the blizzard. Hey, what about the people that are here sitting in your waiting room? I was very unhappy with the overall vibe of the office, my experience communicating with the staff and the complete disorganization of services offered and benefit coverage verification. I wish I would have read their reviews on Google, Facebook, and especially Yelp beforehand. After an hour of sitting in the waiting room, I decided to walk out and take my business to another optometrist office that is more professional. Clearly, they do not value patient relationships or your time.

Dr. Margolis is one of the best docs in the country! I had a bad eye infection. They got me right in, ran the proper tests, and provided the best care. Plus Dr. Margolis discovered an underlying issue and fully explained what was happening. The office staff and billing department are incredibly nice and helpful too! Someone had mentioned the doc doesn't have the best bedside manner... I found him to be incredibly kind. And he laughed at my jokes. What more could you want??! Highly recommend.

Love Dr. Margolis. He is patient, thorough and takes his time explaining things. I also felt that he had compassion. Office staff and techs are very friendly too as well as Dr. Seidman. I feel with this practice that I am actually cared for...like it used to be once upon a time. Last visit I had a long wait and while I don't love waiting, some things are worth the wait which is true in this case.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Alan J. Margolis, MD for the great care I've received through he and his staff including but not limited to Allison, Julie, Angie, Jeanie and Richard from the Optical department. I sincerely thank you all!!!! and apologize for anyone left out.

E Yeiser

Be prepared for long waits, a bad bedside manner, a lack of ability to communicate anything, and lots of appointments so he can charge lots of money. He actually told me I had to come back to discuss my prescription change. Interestingly, his tone changed considerably after I got up to leave in the middle of my appointment. Further, he gave me totally the wrong prescription. It was obviously mixed up with someone else. Check out the yelp reviews and stay away.

My appointment with Margolis Vision was efficient and thorough. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I would recommend their services to anyone needing eye care.

My entire experience at Margolis Vision was nothing less than completely satisfactory. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and the doctors really care about you and your individual needs. Thank you.

The most dysfunctional doctor’s office I have seen in my life. I have been going to Dr. Margolis for three years, once a year. The first time I went there, the staff were very rude and careless. I figured maybe the staffers were new and I just came in on the wrong day. The second time around I experienced the same thing. As I entered the office a lady while yelling at the receptionist stormed out. How rude I said to myself as I quietly signed-in. But later I saw why she stormed out. The Dr. himself was not interested on anything I had to say about my concerns and a couple of times, he basically told me to shut-up by pointing his finger in my face while he started a conversation with a staff member who very loudly entered the room while I was being examined. After my third visit I decided it was time to move on. I am paying for the services I receive but they made me feel like I am getting free service. If you have to go to this office and at your very first visit you get this feeling that something is wrong about this place. Just leave trust me it is not worth the heartache.

Doctor is excellent surgeon. My sight has improved because of him. I have had many issues with my sight and he has helped my situation greatly.

My family had been patients of Dr. Margolis since the 1990s. Every year we went there, we never saw any of the same staff members more than once. They continually billed us personally for something our insurance covered, and they refused to send the bill to the correct insurance, claiming it was our responsibility to pay the bills and the insurance even CALLED them and they still refused to bill the correct insurance. And numerous times we were waiting an hour, sometimes two for appointments without any explanation or apology! We have since changed to a different provider over a year ago, and yet Dr. Margolis' office still calls us to set up an appointment. The lack of training for his staff, the turnover rate, and general lack of patient concern are reasons to avoid this practice, go elsewhere.

Wow. This place is high tech. Best technology and a very experienced eye surgeon. His treatment of my dry eye is the first that has worked after seeing 3 different eye doctors. The staff is amazing! Very quick, and answered all my questions. I can’t say enough about this place. Five stars.

I have gone here for 2 years now. Got a contacts prescription with a new brand (new to me) of contacts and they won't let me order anymore until I come in for a follow up appointment to "make sure they're working ok for me." On top of that, I had to call them 5 times to get them to fax me my prescription. I've been wearing contacts for 25 years. I will certainly tell them if something isn't working. I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to be able to order my contacts. Very poor customer service.

Victoria Kellen

I had a very long appointment. The technician who conducted the tests never told me his name. He did not perform the eye dilation process, so I sat for more time in the examination room after Dr. Margolis did the procedure. I will have cataract surgery, and Dr..Margolis was very thorough in his explanation of the process. His assistant, Chrissy, was also very helpful in setting up appointments and helping me with the requisite forms.

The wait time was absolutely ridiculous.. no regard to others peoples time! Office was horrible they were not even busy and I showed up 15 minutes early for my apt they did not call me back for 40 minutes after my appt time... then I was there another hour .. dr is not very good .. and personality is no ! Go anywhere but here ! If you get referred here ask for someone else !

We moved 2 years ago from another State and was referred to Dr. Margolis. We are very pleased with the efficiency of the staff, the use of the latest technologies and practices and the friendliness of the office. We have recommended Dr. to several of our new friends.

Kimberly Robinson

unprofessional. Scratched my glasses so bad I couldn’t even see out of them. Dr Margolis was Someone I was not comfortable with at all. Went ther once. Never went back. Absolutely rude staff. Dr and all. Horrible!!!!

Victoria Levin

He takes the time with you to explain what is needed. I had cataract surgery which went very well. He has a concern for his patience. The surgery went very smoothly without complications. Anyone who is in need of this surgery would be reassured if the ease on the patient's side.

Steven Rothacker

Dr Margolis is one of the most unknowable doctors in the dry eye disease field and I know because I have been to 16 doctors.

Richard Lataitis

Always a good experience for me. Staff is great. I have a few chronic eye issues I am dealing with and find Dr. Margolis to be exceptionally competent and thorough.

Taren Mulch

I will give 1 star simply because the receptionist tried to improve the insurance payment. However, I waited 1 hour 15 minutes past appointment time to be seen (without any sort of apology). In fact, that acted as though I was inconveniencing them to ask any questions throughout the process. The first receptionist to help me said she was new, but that doesn't excuse rude behavior. The tech who took me back did the entire exam (which is not what I have experienced in my 15 years of visiting optometrists). There was a $100 contact fitting fee! Very high. In addition to that fee though, anywhere else I have been they give you a sample of contacts for the fitting. Here they asked me to use the ones I brought from home and then would need to throw them away for more testings. I did insist that they provide the sample (as I was low on my supply) but other places usually give a 5 day supply, not a begrudging 1 set for the appointment. Dr. Margolis finally saw me and insisted I needed to come back every 3 months for (unnecessary) testing, before even looking at my eyes. He scheduled a second appointment in the room! I explained I was primarily interested in LASIK, (which I have been told for the last 4 years I am a good candidate) and he would barely discuss this option with me and said that I was NOT a good candidate..... Honestly, the 2 1/2 hour experience made me feel like I was at a used-car dealership. I would never recommend this place to anyone!

Donald Kaasch

Dr. Margolis needs to place a most readable announcement outside of his office stating that older people are NOT welcome, that hard of hearing people are not welcome and bereaving people are not welcome. Such inconveniences are much beneath Dr. Margolis' time.

Rick stryder

The worst doctor ever. He once stated during surgery he for got what he was doing, and looked lost. A nurse complained to the AMA, and they suspended his license until his colleagues could verify his medical knowledge. Unfortunately they did and he is still allowed to practice. I would stay far away from here. Also this practice has not been able to keep an employee longer than 7 months, they always quit. I believe this says something about him in particular. He farts and burps in patients faces and charges an arm and a leg for his weak medical opinion. They are many more qualified doctors in the surrounding area. Do not go here! Anything that has 5 stars here is a lie, and he paid for the good reviews. Check yelp for the real story

Good doctor! Just need to pay more attention to sensitive patients.
