I finally decided to move forward with lasik surgery and I'm so glad I did so with Dr. Kumar. Less than a week after surgery and I'm at 20/15 in both eyes. Dr. Kumar was very friendly, easy to talk to and he and his staff were top notch professionals. I'd highly recommend Dr. Kumar and Denver Eye Surgeons.

I had PRK surgery on both eyes in late August 2015. I was extremely near sighted, -8 right eye and -7.5 in the left eye with varying levels of astigmatism. I had been in corrected eye-wear since I was 10 yrs. (now 35 yrs). I was referred to Dr. Kumar from a friend who also had PRK surgery in years past. I was a patient at the Denver Eye Surgery Center for about 2 years prior to the surgery. The surgery has been truly life changing and it is so wonderful to experience excellent vision without any glasses or contacts. They have a wonderful staff, and they were so good to me before, during, and after the procedure - including my followup care that will continue for one year post-surgery. If you choose PRK - just remember to be patient. Healing takes more time, but is 100% worth it!

I have been going to Denver Eye Surgeons for several years as my main eye care provider and was recommended to use Dr. Kumar for my corrective surgery. Dr. Kumar is very knowledgeable and straight forward with his recommendations. He is also very calm and professional in his demeanor. Prior to my PRK surgery, my vision was categorized as mild-moderate nearsightedness w/ moderate-severe astigmatism. Other than poor vision, my eyes were very healthy. 3 months out and now my vision is 20/15 in both eyes. I chose PRK over LASIK based on my active lifestyle and recommendations from Dr. Kumar regarding the amount of correction that I needed. Prior to the surgery, a lot of measurements were taken and retaken to fully identify the necessary correction. I was impressed by how much he and the staff paid attention to detail. I very much appreciated that he told me step by step what he doing while performing the surgery. He also tracked my healing progress very closely with several post-op appointments to ensure everything was healing to his expectations. I only have good things to say and would recommend him to anyone interested in corrective surgery. Thank you so much.
