After consulting with several other practices, I have selected the Eye Center of Colorado for surgery and treatment of cataracts. With one surgery completed by Dr. Michael Miller, I can confidently say that he and his staff are the embodiment of what a high quality, patient-centered medical practice should be. The information on the web site is clear and complete. The entire staff, front office, technical and professional, are friendly, helpful and informative. At every step of the way, they provided information, explained treatment options and answered questions. Surgery and appointment scheduling were handled promptly. Most importantly, the results after the first surgery are excellent.

I am so frustrated. I set this appointment for my daughter a full month ago. They took all of my information for my insurance the day they had me on the phone. Now, I get ready to take her in tomorrow and they call me to tell me I am out of network. They had this information 30 days ago. why bother asking me for it? Now I have to start all over with someone else.

I had an eye injury and it was recommended I see a specialist. Dr. Wong removed my husband's cataracts. The way he was taken care of was outstanding. Although it's not close to my home, I chose to have her check my injury and do a full eye exam. Again, the care I received was outstanding! The office staff and technicians are very friendly and welcoming as well. I've always left there feeling like more than a patient's spouse or patient. All questions are always answered and concerns are addressed. You're in great hands with this practice.

My surgery was rescheduled a couple of times, but really I had no other issues. They gave me a very thorough check because of my past health history and when time finally came for my LASIK everyone was really excited for me, and as always they were incredibly kind. They cared about my life outside of just getting surgery, and I don’t care who you are; that just makes you feel great!

I am baffled, frustrated, and completely disappointed by the service I received at The Eye Care Center of Colorado on June 29th, 2016. When the technician went to clean my glasses the frames broke at the bridge. This was obviously an accident and I wasn’t even mad, just surprised and speechless. There was no previous damage to my frames, no cracks or scratches and I keep my glasses in a case when not wearing them. This is why the technician’s next question really took me by surprise, “Were these glued?” I couldn’t believe it, the technician immediately assumed it wasn’t his fault and after I quickly answered “no, there was nothing wrong with them” the technician did apologize and said it would be no problem and they would take care of them. After my eye exam with the optometrist (which was a great experience) the technician began explaining my options for replacing the frames. They were willing to offer me 50% off one of their name brand frames, give me one of their off brand frames for free, or pay to have my frames replaced. I was not planning on replacing my frames as I am very happy with the style I have so I asked them to reimburse me for the same frames. The technician fit my old lens to fit a pair of loaner frames so that I could have something while I waited for my new frames (I don’t ware contacts and don’t have a pair of spare glasses at home). The technician explained that I would need to bring in the receipt along with the loaner frames and they would reimburse me. About a week and half later I got my new frames, took the loaner frames back along with the receipt for the frames I purchased which were exactly the same as the frames they broke. When I got the reimbursement check in the mail the next week it was for only HALF the cost of the frames. There was a note with the reimbursement that stated because they were out of warranty and 2 years old, they would only cover the cost of half! I couldn’t believe it so I called the office manager to get a better explanation as to why they would only pay half of the frames which they broke. The office manager literally told me, “You knew those frames were compromised, frames don’t just break like that, and paying half is more than fair.” She never apologized and proceed to suggest that I knew my frames were damaged and on the verge of breaking so I was trying to swindle them into buying me a new pair of frames. I’ve never been treated like this by a local business and coming from a family of small business owners I was left feeling taken advantage of and as if my business didn’t matter to them. Long story short, my family and friends will no longer be patients at this optometrist and I want to warn everyone considering becoming or currently a patient that if you’d be better off finding somewhere else to take your business.

I have nothing but love for these folks. My husband messed up his eyes , in part by getting grit under his contact lenses. The Dr's here were able to treat him with the medicine and therapeutic dressings such that his eyes healed rapidly and completely. In the course of his treatment he saw several doctors and staff, they were all great. I started going there myself after that, I was so impressed.

I had a very bad experience here. I got my eyes examined by a pleasant technician in August. I brought my prescription elsewhere for my lenses to be made and where I bought my frames. When I picked them up and tried them on they were blurry to the point of making me feel dizzy. I called the Eye Center of Colorado and made an appointment to return. They checked my lenses to be sure they weren't the problem. They were not. A different technician examined my eyes this time but got the same prescription as before. I told them I couldn't accept that. Not only could I not read even the largest letters on posters on the wall when I put on my new glasses, even their faces two and three feet from me were a blur! I could see much, much better with my old glasses. They called in Dr. Miller. He did an exam and changed both distance and the astigmatism reading. I brought my new prescription back to Europtics. They made new lenses and ate the cost themselves even though it was Eye Center of Colorado's mistake. A few days later I picked up my glasses again. Blurry vision again. The prescription was still wrong. I called Eye Center of Colorado and talked with Marilyn, their office manager. I got nowhere with her. So, I went to my usual eye doctor somewhere else (NOT at the Eye Center) and paid for a totally new eye exam. This doctor checked my lenses. They were good. Then he did an exam. New prescription in both eyes. He said The Eye Center of Colorado's prescription was "wonky". He said I wouldn't be able to pass a driver's license exam with the prescription they gave me. With the prescription they gave me for my right eye, I would be legally blind. I called the Eye Center of Colorado and talked to Marilyn again. All we did was go in circles. She couldn't accept that they could be wrong and gave a bunch of reasons why THEY should check on my own doctor's prescription. They would not pay for my new exam nor the lenses that had to be made for the third time. I went to Europtics and brought my correct prescription planning to pay for this time's lens change. I found out that Marilyn from Eye Center of Colorado had called them and gave MY doctor's prescription -- NOT from THEIR office but from my own doctor's office -- and she sent it inaccurately!!! She had no business doing this. This was not a doctor in their center. I had a written prescription, of course, which they used instead. She also gave them medical information without my consent and without being asked for it. This whole experience has been a nightmare and a big inconvenience and expense to me and to where I had my lenses made. I did report them to Medicare.
