Great service as always

Check your bill. They charged my insurance over $700 for surgical removal of debris. I drove home that day with a prescription dry eye drops. There was no surgery.

Josh Stoll

I spent years at other offices struggling with ill-fitting contacts that I really couldn't wear. I finally just gave up and spent years without contacts. Dr. Gray got me into contact lenses I can wear. Now I've been going here for years.

Jack pogge

Experienced doctors with pleasant attitudes. Staff were professional and helpful. Great results. Waiting room could be a bit brighter. Every thing was on time!

Everett Willard

Always professional. Well staffed and helpful. All actions fully explained. No insurance issues. Just what you need when you must consult a medical professional.

It is unfortunate that the front office crew couldn't get their stuff together on the day of my appointment. The visit of Dr. Pennington and his assistant was nothing to complain about. As routine as it could be, but with a dash of fun chatting with him and his assistant. The real issue was with the front office. I filled out the forms on ZocDoc the night before (don't waste your time, they don't use them), but arrived 20 minutes early to take care of forms incase they didn't use the ZocDoc ones. Despite being early, I was not seen until 40 minutes after my appointment time. When they asked about my vision insurance, I explained it is through my medical and that I was unsure if they covered frames and lenses or just exams, and they said they would check, but materials are never covered under medical. During my visit, I got interrupted from the benefit coordinator letting me know that they only cover glasses (which are materials), and they only cover contacts after cataracts surgery. This didn't make any sense to me, as I know I have good insurance. I got overcharged at checkout, due to an attention to detail error. Given that I am a benefits coordinator for a dental office, I went home and called my insurance company. Turns out that eye exams are covered, glasses are covered, contacts are covered. Despite this they wanted me to get contacts through them out of pocket. The feeling of the office was older, and with a crew that couldn't get my coverage straight without me verifying it myself, I will probably not return, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone; despite the actual visit with Dr. Pennington being good.

John Wolf

On time with appointment, professional treatment.

Reese M

Thorough and fast. They took great care of me. Worked with my insurance and are getting my records. Would recommend.

I have been going to Dr. Lewis and staff for over 10 years. He used a new method to heal my corneal erosion and every since I have been going there for eye exams. The staff has always been kind and very helpful. I haven't had any issues that were not resolved right away there.

Matt Merrell

Dr. Lewis and Dr. Grey are two greg doctors that care about how they treat you and the results you get from them.

Erik Bromley

I recently had Lasik done by Dr. Lewis and could not be more pleased with my experience. He made sure I was an ideal candidate for the Intralase procedure and was very thorough throughout. Lasik is definitely a life changing experience and I would always recommend Dr. Lewis and the entire staff at Cherry Creek Eye!

Alyssa Robedee

Grossly disrespectful of your time. Habitually late. Do NOT recommend. Wouldn't even recommend if you have time to waste.

Marianne Winter

I have been going to Cherry Creek Eye Physicians for over 40 years. Dr. Lewis and the other staff members have always been wonderful. I have had two eye surgeries by Dr. Lewis and have been totally satisfied with the results. I would highly recommend Cherry Creek Eye Physicians to anyone.

Most if not all ophthalmologists and optometrists aren't able to do the pressure test on my eyes because they are "sensitive" (I can't believe most people doesn't instinctively blink when someone tries to blow something into your eye). Dr. Lewis is able to push on my eyes with his fingers while my eyelids are closed in place of this test. He's been my ophthalmologist for a decade or more now. This office also got a new computer imaging machine a few years ago to scan your eyes for an optional $39 that insurance doesn't cover but it provides images for your file and alleviates the need to dilate your pupils.

Sue Palandri

I have been going here for years! The staff is always welcoming. I highly recommend Dr. Lewis.

Doug Gaddis

Dr. Lewis is the best around and staff is very helpful.

Rebecca Holman

There is no reason this business should not have ten stars!

All this office does is charge money, no treatment was offered or follow up done.

Susanne van der Meer

Our family has been patients of Dr. Lewis since 10 years. Very friendly staff, always familiar names and faces. We feel treated with great expertise, skill and kindness. Highly recommended.

Arrived 15 mins early to my appointment and waited for almost a half hour from my appointment time to be seen. The appointment itself was fine, but the front desk tried to tell me my copay was way more than it should have been and didn’t want to be bothered with actually doing their jobs properly and look it up. Their answer was “talk to you HR department to see what kind of vision insurance you have”. It’s says it right on my insurance card, so why couldn’t they figure it out? I had to call my insurance and they had to call the clinic to explain to them what my benefits actually were. Not only that but I was laughed at trying to get it figured out. They disrespected me and my time in several ways.

Sue O

Highly efficient office, caring and competent staff, positive results to surgery and no hassles with insurance! Even good location and easy parking! Doesn't get better than that.

Shannon Callahan

5 Stars said it all. It was quick and smooth operation for my little check up. I have nothing else to say...Just great place to check out.

Jude A Watters

the staff I met with had no idea what type of procedure I had completed. It seem the only interest they had was in putting me in glasses which I had no need. After the great servie I had in the past this was very disappointing

Dr Pennington was quick and professional. He explained my options and was very patient with me while doing so. Everyone was nice and helpful from the front desk to the ophthalmic tech. I was 10 min early to my appt, filled out paperwork in that time and waited only 5 minutes to be seen. A great experience all around.

Am always so glad to see Dr. Lewis. He's smart, gives good information and always presents the options for you to consider. Been a patient for 30 years and can't imagine going to anyone else.

The doctors here are great but the front staff and nurses are something to be reckoned with. My first visit here I was screened by a nurse first. She was doing a bunch of tests beforehand. She asked if I was in pain and I said yes (coming back from a corneal infection) and she said “You’re not in pain, it’s called discomfort.” Rather forcefully. I responded with a no, it’s pain and she again said even more forcefully “Its not pain!” Throughout the process she was brisk, rude and a whole slew of other adjectives.

I found Dr. Pennington's arrogance very off-putting, particularly coming from someone with a relatively short career. Having seen several ophthalmologists over the past 30 years, I prefer doctors with many more years of experience. Thankfully, I recently found one in the area and my eyes have never been better. I will definitely not be returning to Dr. Pennington.

We saw Dr Lewis today, for a second opinion. What a very compassionate, straight forward, and closely listening dr! These symptoms have been going on for years and here is to hoping this solves it for years!

Lewis tore up my eye- tore the retina, put a hole in it, tore up my lens, replacement lens partially attached. I am now 50% loss of sight in that eye, at least and it will never be the same. Another doctor told me he's had many before with problems and another doctor told me he's nearing the end of his career. Not even an apology !!. Or follow-up at all. AND Docs are protected in Colorado. Any other state he would not be protected.

DJ Mac

Dr. Pennington was able to see me the same day my dermatologist called their office because I had shingles and it was spreading to my eye. The building was nice, the staff was great and Dr. Pennington made me feel like he honestly cared about me and making sure my eye was safe. Thank you sir. Edit: saw a negative comment about the doctor I saw, so I figured I'd add more. I'm a huge nerd, I'm a computer engineer and young. Dr. Pennington was on my wavelength and spoke my language. He did not seem arrogant or anything like the older comment I saw. Rock on doc.
