Dr. Roberts is extremely knowledgeable and up front-honest with his evaluations. He will spend a lot of time with you explaining your animals condition. Do not hesitate to see him with your animals eye care concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Roberts.

These folks are wonderful, compassionate and caring. Dr. Arnold was very straightforward, but at the same time, patient and empathic. The staff members were engaging and professional. I thought the fees were very fair, especially for a specialist.

Brent Frakes

Great service with very reasonable prices

Dr. Arnold handled Addison with the utmost kindness and professionalism. I was truly amazed how well she responded to the surgery to reopen her tear duct. I especially appreciated the great detailed notes Dr. Arnold sent me home with, you're often so worried about your puppy that you forget to ask various questions in the moment. I am very pleased all the way around - Breezy and the other assistant were great as well!!! Very highly recommended. The "little one" - which made me smile - is doing fantastic. Were referred here from our regular vet. Dr. Arnold took care of our cat, and it wasn't even much more than a visit to the regular vet. Issues came back after half a year and the cat had an emergency surgery. Anything animal -related is $$$, but Dr. Arnold suggested to try the cheaper surgery and it seems to be working out. Post-surgery they have been very helpful, too. We ran out of antibiotics and Dr. Arnold spend some time finding the cheapest pharmacy near where we live, so we wouldn't have to drive to Ft. Collins. Excellent service all around.

Debby Schmidt

I have been amazed by the knowledge, results, and the low bill. These people are just wonderful. They have seen several of my rabbits for their eye issues. The last time Dr. Roberts was able to open up a tear duct that the regular vet had said was permanently blocked.

Laurie Macomber

What a tremendous team that helped our Corgi deal with ulcers on each cornea over an 8 month period. They were absolute angels and I would sing their praises on every rooftop!

They will move heaven and earth to do the right thing by your animal and are incredibly caring, smart and experienced. I was blown away by the quality of care given and the information they were able to give me re: how best to help my kitten, Gus, who had a rare eye condition.

Tami Inskeep

Top of the line professional! Had a lab with an eye injury and the staff was helpful, friendly and most importantly got me in right away. Dr. Roberts is friendly and EXTREMELY knowledgeable. The treatment he provided worked and our lab is back to normal. In addition, Dr. Roberts made a follow up himself rather than a tech or staff member to check on our dog.

Mary DeLisa

Great prices and good staff, I have been going there for years

Matt Henderson

Excellent service and reasonable pricing. Took my dog in to surgically remove hair follicles under the eyelid twice. The vets here are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful.

Took my dog there and spent over $1000 not including meds. The procedure was a complete failure and my dog looked the same when I picked him up as he did before. I was told to "rub the eye" to get the tear duct they were supposed fix back into place. Waste of a lot of time and money.

S G

Very good staff and doctor. They really showed compassion and a sincere caring of the pets. Instructions were spot on for when we left and they also followed up with a phone call 2 weeks later to see how my dog was doing. Thank You!!!

Dr. Roberts is super...we took our dog in when he was choked at Pets Mart on the grooming table (he fell off). He did a great job and we highly recommend him for eye issues.

Dr. Arnold, Amy, and the whole staff were very compassionate and kind to me and my dog Scooby, who had to have his eye removed due to Glaucoma. Scooby is an old dog, who had cataracts surgery several years ago. Since then he developed Glaucoma in one eye. I tried to medicate, which worked for a while, but after a year or so it was clear that he needed his eye removed. As his mother, of course I worry about putting him under anesthesia, the trauma of another surgery, the possibility of infection, etc. Dr. Arnold and Amy completely assuaged my worries with their honest, kind, and patient answers to my questions. According to them, [and I paraphrase,] a dog with uncontrolled Glaucoma is in a lot of pain; post-operative discomfort is minor in comparison. Now that the surgery is over, I can attest to this; as soon as we picked him up from the hospital, it was like Scooby became 5 years younger. He is perky, playful, and happy. Previously, this would only be the case for a couple minutes a day here and there. Now he is either sleeping or perky, which is an amazing change and a blessing.

Truthfully, I thought hard about whether or not I should post a bad review or not. After generous thought, I can't stand silent anymore. I took my dog in a few days ago to see if anything could be done about his third eyelid. I have recently adopted him from a shelter, and have never had a dog like him. My vet suggested I go see an optometrist for a second opinion about his eye-if it was functional for one and if he could have better sight if possible. I had Dr.Roberts come in, and he didn't seem too warm, but I let him do his job. After telling me things about breeding, and my dogs genetics, he finally started the exam. He looked in my dogs eyes a few times before my dog became stressed out and started barking at him. Now, I understand it was out of the blue, but I would assume vets would be used to those type of reactions. Instead, Dr.Roberts said, we're done, walked away and yelled at my dog, calling him a bad dog. When the vet tech came in, he told her we were done, and that my dog was being a "butthole". I found it very unprofessional for a professional, who I'd assume has been doing this for quite some time to speak so lowly of my dog and to my dog. I spent 85 dollars for a rude visit and little to no help. Thanks for the textbook knowledge, but I will never be okay with how you handled anything. To follow up with the response to my review: I found the response very one sided, biased and overall rude. My dog is not an aggressive animal. To say a vet is not used to getting reactions is hard to be thought of as true. I received an apology letter from Dr. Roberts, and I thank him for that. In his letter, he mentioned a dog snapping at him before, therefore giving him the reaction he did when my dog became stressed by him, or "try to bite him"- which is very untrue, because he did not try to bite Dr. Roberts. I was sitting next to my dog the whole entire time, and once my dog started to bark, I pulled him away, held on to him and told him it was okay. Therefore, it is very untrue as you mentioned, that the Doctors are not used to animals snapping, and untrue to say that my dog tried to bite. I would like a FULL REFUND from the facility. Textbook knowledge is a big factor in working with animals, but being warm, caring and understanding is another large part. I refuse to suggest this facility to anyone. You spent more time on regarding aggression in my dog, rather than the fact that one of your doctors spoke and treated my dog in a very ill fashion. I am very let down by you and your team.

After an emergency vet on a holiday that didn't know how to treat my dog's corneal ulcers ($$$), and a follow up with a another vet who didn't get it right either ($$$), (and both had my dog on drugs that weren't what he needed, both ordered unnecessary test$$$) I took my dog to Dr. Roberts. Would have saved my buddy from days of pain and myself a few hundred bucks if I'd just gone to Dr. Roberts in the first place! He immediately knew what the problem was, made my dog's eyes comfortable, then spent over an hour with us, identified and explained the underlying causes and treatment of his corneal ulcers, and educated me about his condition, and we've gone 14 months without a reoccurence. No expensive blood work, every drug served its purpose. The whole visit including drugs was only $90, and they coordinate with his regular vet to mail his eye drops to me every month. I have recommended Animal Eye Center to my acquaintances when their pets or horses have eye issues. Based on my experiences trying to get my dog treated effectively elsewhere, I won't trust any other vet with my dogs eyes!

Justin

Very happy with these folks. Took my dog in for an eyelid tumor, Doctor Roberts was very helpful in explaining my options, and was able to do the opperation the same afternoon at a minimal cost. He was also able to take care of some other problems she. Glad to work with the whole staff!

I am a proud rescue momma of 3 dogs. I was recently referred to the clinic by my regular veterinarian. Dr Michealle Hobler. I I took our blue nosed pit bull Ophelia who is experiencing eye tear production issues. The has been EXCELLENT.

One night I saw the instant my kitty lost his eyesight - instantly hugging the wall. Took him to the Eye Center. Doctor there said he never takes blood pressure b/c cats are always high b/c of coming to the vet. He said his eyes would regain sight, which they did. However, had he taken my kitty's blood pressure, he would have seen how it was far above where it should have been. A 2nd go-around with him losing sight again, the doctor completely missed the fact that he was having a heart problem leading to a heart attack later that night. So much happened because he neglected to look at and treat my kitty's blood pressure. This lead to complete blindness and 2 strokes, all from April to September, which is when my kitty had had enough - his health deteriorated to the point that it was time. By the time his regular doctor discovered what was wrong, too much damage had been done that could have been prevented. Not taking the time to do it right made my kitty suffer far more than he had to.

I highly recommend Dr. Roberts and his team! I have used him for two of my dogs (multiple visits) at both his Loveland clinic, and his mobile clinic. Dr. Roberts is on the quieter side, but give him some time and his compassion shines through, and his knowledge and expertise are bar none. I know this man well, and honestly feel like some of these negative reviews have been exaggerated. I hope they don't cause someone considering Animal Eye Clinic to decide not to go here. I am a Veterinary Technician, and I trust Dr. Roberts implicitly with my animals. He has more than proven himself to me in the outstanding care he and his team provide to my dogs at every visit.

Dr. Roberts was PHENOMENAL. I live in Montana and we don't have a eye vet locally. He took my call after my vet was concerned and consulted me over the phone. He answered my emails and then personally got on the phone with me to calm down my fears. I am incredibly impressed, I did not pay him a cent...he did this for free.Truly wonderful to have such generosity and care when you live far away. Thank you Dr. Roberts your community is lucky to have you.

We should have been much more careful about selecting a vet to do cataract surgery on our dog. She developed a bubble on her lenses after the surgery. We called the clinic and sent pictures. We were informed it was nothing to worry about. Later, the bubble on the right eye ruptured and a thick pus was oozing from the rupture of the lens. We took her to our local vet. He called the eye clinic and Roberts said she should be brought in immediately. We traveled the 100 miles back home and the 250 miles to Loveland. Roberts looked at her and said she was poked in the eye by a rose bush. (we don't have any of those) I reminded him of the bubble on her eye which was precisely where the rupture was. That did not interest him. He operated and repaired the rupture. Then he charged us $800. When I complained, he laughed and said "it's only a couple of truck payments". Well, being a veteran on social security and having used all of our emergency fund and borrowing the rest, to pay for the cataract surgery, we did not find it a bit funny. He should stick to his day job because he wont' make it as a comedian. He informed us that the eye would clear up in a couple of weeks and be fine. It has NOT cleared up and she remains blind in that eye after some months.

First time here today with my Dog Kiba. Felt extremely comfortable and reassured right away. Everyone there was friendly and genuinely happy to work with Kiba!

The doctor was so great! Kind, attentive, gracious with his time, and happy to take follow-up questions over the email and phone. Wonderful experience during a scary time.

I called on a Sunday. Dr Robert's called back right away, he seen her at 9a and she was in surgery at 1030a after he called in a couple people. She was set for cataract surgery the following monday. Her lens ruptured and she was in pain. I cannot thank them enough for coming in on a Sunday and helping her. She can see now!!!! The entire staff is always sooooo helpful.

This place is wonderful!!!!!! I called all over and Animal Eye Center was not only the best in price but was willing to see Luke as soon as possible. While other places couldn't see him until February! We thought we were going in for an initial consultation, but Dr. Roberts took care of Luke immediately. This was not an emergency procedure either, so the fact that they all went out of their way to take care of my puppy was amazing!!!!!!!!!!! His staff cleaned the procedure room and did the minor procedure all within an hour of being there. I cannot complement this place enough. If any of you, for any reason, have to take your pets to and eye specialist...I highly recommend this place!!!!!!!
