Edit: they called and made it right, they had misquoted me over the phone because the receptionist didn't bother to check to see that I was an existing patient I was quoted 100 for an exam for contacts, then I called back to make the appointment and all of a sudden it's 400 this is after they already charged my insurance for an exam but contacts are apparently separate and they want to do the exam again. Just find someone else.

Ended to an optometrist instead of an opthalmologist. Staff were not fair, and very unprofessional- they kept us waiting for an hour and served people who even came later that us. Optometrist only cared to give prescription and sell eyeglasses. He could not explain anything but gave us referral to another eye doctor. Opthalmologist? I don’t know if they have one. What a waste. Sears and walmart opticals services are better than this center in our experience.

Did not give price up front. Stated I would not need glasses and would have my eyesight back. Then sent me over to admin. There is where I was told that lazer surgery was not covered. I would have to pay $1750 per eye. This was a blow as I was not told this until I was scheduling the surgery. The standard surgery was covered but at a price. I would still need glasses and my stigmatism would not be fixed. Why was this not gone over during the 6 months process. Also my last bust was 45 minutes late but if you are late 15 minutes you must reschedule. Yes the staff is great but information not told to you. I am upset as I thought all would be good now ???

I have been a patient of North Valley Eye Care for almost 5 years and would highly recommend their office. The staff is friendly, professional and personable. The doctors truly listen to your vision concerns and does preventative testing. The optical selection is fantastic, they have Ray Ban, Michael Kors, Coach and Kate Spade just to name a few. I was quoted 2 weeks for my glasses and a week after placing my order I received a call that my glasses were ready. I get a lot of compliments on my Kate Spade gold glitter glasses!

We were long time patients of Dr Shaw, and decided to stay after the business was transferred to Dr Barthelow. last month I needed cataract surgery. I felt like the Dr was pushing a new machine that Medicare would not cover at a cost of $5,000 per eye. I chose to have the surgery Medicare covered. During the surgery on my right eye I felt a painful scratching. my eye ached for weeks witch was not what I had been told. After more than a month my vision in my right eye is still worse than before the surgery. I told everyone in the clinic, my eye is worse than before surgery. Finally last week I got to see Dr Barthelow ,He spent less than 10 seconds looking at my eye as I told him my eyesight in my right eye is still worse than before surgery. He said both eyes were healing well as I told him something is wrong with my right eye. He huridly got up and walked out of the exam room and as he walked into the hall I overheard him say to the girl flowing him "Don't answer their questions, they only ask more." I feel Dr Barthelow has shown contempt for my concerns

My family and I LOVE this practice! All the doctors are so tentative and nice. My mother was being "treated" for dry eyes at another clinic for 9 years and they never went further than giving her artificial tears. Dr. Merry treated the root of the problem and gave her other treatment suggestions.
