My new primary care physician here said to me, "If you have a neuro-ophtalmologist in L.A., continue seeing him there. We don't have anyone like him!"

My experience with Dr Bose and his staff has been very disappointing. The last visit was a complete waste of time. It was extremely difficult to get the staff to submit a referral for an MRI prior to the visit. So the doctor was not able to provide a treatment plan after the visit. I took the day off work and traveled a long way to see Dr Bose for nothing. To add to my frustration the doctor was on his cell phone handling personal business during the visit! He was very unprofessional. I’ve read great things about Dr Bose, it’s unfortunate my experience so far has been horrible.

Never had I had a more thorough, careful exam than I did with Dr Bose who was able at last to offer a diagnosis which explained my symptoms. Dr. Bose is an extraordinary physician: brilliant, caring, passionate about what he does. His staff are wonderful and his passion for his work is reflected in the obvious joy he takes in teaching them. He is also an excellent communicator with his patients and explained in detail the issue with my eye and the steps required to address it. I am a physician as well. Dr. Bose is “a physician’s physician”: the sort of doctor we all aspire to be. I trust him completely with my care and upcoming surgery and would happily refer anyone to him.

Dr. Bose had an emergency situation so I had to wait a bit, but in the interim, I was well attended to, and as always, Dr. Bose looks, sees, and calls the diagnosis with accuracy. I am always amazed at how physicians treat their patients, good and bad. Dr. Bose has demonstrated how the absolute BEST physicians should treat their patients. Not once did I feel uncomfortable or that I was in the dark(pardon the pun). He, and his staff, explained each step and discussed the results in a plain manner to which I could understand. His bedside manner, patience and care are top-notch. I brought up another issue, outside of why I was there, and without hesitation, he spent the time required to solve the issue. Dr. Bose has been following me for several years, and more often recently due to a severe palsy left eye and severe head pain. After his examination at my most recent appointment, he said he was very optimistic with my eye which gave me hope. He is very kind and caring and I appreciated that he saw a positive change in my eye, as I have been very depressed over the issue. He provided some prisms to put in my glasses to help reduce the double vision. I feel hope after his examination.

One of the worst doctors I think I’ve ever come face to face with. I am a chronic migraine suffer who is also experiencing substantial loss of vision that is constant. I was really hoping he would be able to address my vision issues and provide a solution to help me get through this and see properly again. However, during our meeting he talked over me several times, seemed like he was in a rush, and discounted several of the things I was saying that I felt were very important. On top of all of this, he told me to try “yoga and meditation” which for anyone who suffers from migraines can attest is the most frustrating and annoying things anyone can say to you. He seemed to not get the idea that I literally CAN’T SEE out of my right eye. Then he called my doctor that referred me and left me a message saying that nothing was wrong. His staff was nice but Dr. Bose seemed like he could give less of a f**k about me.
