My mother was a patient of Dr. Goldberg and had a very very bad experience with him. His bedside manners are bad. He is rude and unprofessional. I understand that UCLA is a teaching hospital, but when the doctor came into the room we were in he didn't ask if it was okay for the interns to be in the room with us and he didn't introduce them to us. When the appointment with him was over he told the intern to "practice his Spanish with us." That was uncalled for, for I am a Spanish teacher at a high school. Dr. Goldberg should be the one practicing his Spanish and his manners with the patients. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR TO ANYONE. My mother and I were very upset at that visit. The good thing was that the office manager and the reception girls were very polite after seeing us so distraught.

I love the high $400.00 consult fee, no before and afters to review and no guarantee that he can even fix my problem. I found the receptionist condescending. I almost felt like I was disturbing her when I tried to make an appointment. Just because it's UCLA doesn't mean a thing to me. I'm really disappointed. No business would be in business with this service.

This Doctor is the reason I am able to see today and forever thankful for his expert care. I would recommend him and his staff. I used to come from Northern California and his office would do their best to try to accommodate an appointment and work with my scheduled times of doctors. He is knowledgeable, attentive and found him considerate with a bedside manner that was caring and informative

In my professional career spanning over thirty years I have yet to find a better ophthalmologist. A year ago I had surgery on my right eye. An NG Oregon ophthalmologist botched the job. Dr. Goldberg fixed the mess and everything is back to normal. What could be better than that? Dr. JF
