Horrible experience. I was scheduled an appointment for Monday for pain in my eye. When I got there they told me it was scheduled for the following day. My referral said urgent so they let me see the doctor. Doctor Willson seemed upset, and didn't want to hear anything I had to say. She didn't ask me any questions about what was going on with my eye. She told me it was allergies and gave me a prescription for eye drops. When I tried to tell her it was a sharp pain in my eye when I look down, she told me not to look down then... I tried the eye drops for about 2 weeks with no help. I called back to make another appointment and was told I can't be seen for a month.

Made an urgent appointment as a first time patient on a Saturday morning. Understandably, many people would rather be elsewhere than at work on Saturday morning, but it's not necessary to be quite as transparent about it as they were here. The receptionist was clearly short-tempered and double-charged me my co-pay. The person who did all these tests on my eyes, who I thought was the doctor, was the nicest of all, never gave me her name and seemed like she was miserable. After she was done with me, I stayed in the exam room forever. Dr. Wilson came in and never asked me any questions, like how long things have been going on, for example. She just seemed shut off and cold. After looking at my eyes, she gave me a prescription for $600 eye drops and said to come back in a month. After that, we walked up to the front. At that point, I spoke to the lady who schedules appointments and she told me that I have no insurance! I told her that I do have insurance and she said that another girl, who wasn't standing there at the time, called the insurance company and they said it expired and that we talked about it and I knew about it. I said that it wasn't correct and I waited for the other girl to come back so that I could talk to her. This didn't sit well with this lady. She asked me to leave and said that they don't call insurance companies on the weekend anyway. What? I left and went home to call the insurance company. As I knew it, everything was fine and I called Eye Pros to tell them. I was told that they don't call insurance companies on the weekend and that they would call them again on Monday. Nobody has ever followed through with me, either. What is up with this place?

Went in for basic eye exam, was over charged for my co-pay. They told me I had no insurance allowance for lenses or frames. (I do, prescription for reading glasses was filled elsewhere) When I called regarding my over charge co-pay they said, " do you realize you are calling during the lunch hour"??? Needless to say, they never returned my call. A tech did my preliminary eye tests ( I thought she was the doctor) , then a man came in ( the doctor) and I introduced myself, he did not - just shook my hand with his pen still in it. (awkward) At the end of the exam, instead of spending a few minutes going over my eye health, he gave me an eye progress sheet with a bunch of medical terms and numbers along with his business card, saying come back in a year for recheck. I asked him who he was and he said his name is on the card he gave me???? The new prescription for reading glasses is fine, however, if I look at my computer screen which is a little farther away, it's blurry. I've gone back to my old reading glasses. The visit to California Eye Professionals was a waste of time and money. I won't go back.

Horrible wait times even if you have a scheduled appointment. My mother had a 3:30 appointment was not seen by doctor till 5. Staff was standing around loudly having personal conversation until they finally asked me what I was waiting for in the waiting room as the were trying to clean the office tp leave for the day. After being approached 3 times timidly by staff I was finally taken to another waiting room across the hall and told to wait there, ss staff discussed how I gave them issue with my anger about the extensive wait. Whats more is the doctor did not even do the exam that the appoinment was scheduled for because there was not enpugh time to dialate her eyes. Would not reccomend this office ever

I went to Cal Eye Professionals to have my laser retina surgery checked. The procedure was performed by two other doctors at a different clinic and when I became eligible for medicare, I was no longer covered by those two doctors. I was extremely pleased with the service provided by CEP. The admin staff was friendly, courteous and informative. All of the pre-testing before seeing a doctor was done quickly and efficiently by a very nice technician. Dr. Ulibarri was outstanding. He explained what he was looking for and in detail how a retinal tear could cause damage to eye sight. He was friendly, very informative and extremely professional. I am very happy with the overall experience.

Recently, I had to have cataract surgery due to medication, and I was referred to Dr Burns at California Eye Professionals. Dr Burns is awesome! He explained to me my options, told me what to expect, and the day of surgery was fast and painless. In 2 weeks I do the other eye, and all the fear and anxiety that I felt for the first eye is non existent. My vision is getting better every day, and colors are bright and true again!

Both my daughter and I went in for an eye exam. The office was really busy and it was extremely windy outside!!! And the receptionist needs to find a new job, she definitely isn't front office/receptionist quality. You could really tell she hated being there. First we saw a technician, then the physician. I have Davis Insurance through my employer and this was the very FIRST TIME I received a pair of glasses for FREE!!! Both the Doctor and the Eye Exam Technician were courteous and professional!!! Look forward to visiting them next year!!! Recommended my fiancee to this office for her exam!!!

It was easy to make an appt. They accomidated us when I didnt have my daughter insurance card on hand. They tested her and kept in mind shes 6yrs so she may not understand what shes being asked to do. They offered us promotions to cut down on costs and took the time to allow her to find a good pair of glasses that matched her style while being durable.

She answered all of my questions and got me set up with the right prescription. Made two attempts to make an appointment to have my eyes evaluated but couldn't wait 5+ minutes on hold each time I called. Second attempt, the person only asked me if I wanted glasses and after my reply "Maybe, after I get evaluated" I was sent to endless hold again. I didn't get a good feeling about this place so I'll go somewhere else.

I have been going here for years and they are wonderful! Dr. Burns did both of my eye surgeries and he was excellent. The staff is great and they are friendly and professional. I do not purchase through their in-house eyeglasses store because I get a better deal elsewhere but the store is there if you need it.

My eyes were so dry. I have used eye plugs for several years, but did not know they dissolved and that happened. So I was given new plugs. Wha a relief. The next day I had my annual eye exam and that went well also.

They got my grandfather his lasic it is great but are deffenatly not worth an hour wait from the appointment time. then another hour of waiting for the eye doctor to see you so if you are not paitent this is not for you or make plans for after. make them 3 hours later.

Initially hard to get someone on the phone who could answer questions regarding my cataract surgery. I wanted to narrow my field of potential surgeons to 2-3. Once contact was made everyone was helpful and professional. This surgeon has several of the best available lenses to choose from and he also offers laser surgery. I will be having my surgery the end of May 2019.

The personnel here are very friendly! I’ve been here twice (2years) for my annual check. First doctor I had was great and the one I had this last visit (Dr McIntyre) was also great. It does put you back a little when you first walk in because it is usually pretty crowded in the waiting room. So far though I’ve never had to wait very long before being called. They also seem to have the latest technology for checking your eyes.

Brenda the surgery coordinator goes well beyond her standard duties to accommodate patients and ensure that one is well informed of the surgery procedures, has pertinent information, as well as completely understand the procedure and of any options/upgrades. A place to receive quality service with a friendly greeting.

Dr Burns is my fathers cataract surgeon and he’s one of the best in California. He took the time to thoroughly explain everything to me and my dad and did not try to rush the surgery. Horrible doctors, kept taking my copays and misdiagnosed my EKC, which is severe pink eye and offered no effective treatment or sympathy after 5 days of going back there everyday and seeing 3 doctors. Finally got an appointment with an infectious disease OD at Smiley Eye at UCSD and being treated and cured with a Betadine treatment.
