What a fabulous experience. I had an emergency. I called several ophthalmologists in the Beverly Hills area. No one could see me in a timely manner. Except Dr. Benjamin. We were brought into his office as soon as was convenient for us. We were treated like royalty from the moment we set foot in this beautiful office. And then we met Dr. Benjamin. How could things go up from there? They did. What a down to earth, relaxed, smart man. He brought us back a few times to make sure my eye was improving. I can't recommend him highly enough. Each person from the office staff to the top guy was wonderful. LOVED HIM. LOVED HIS OFFICE!!!

I have had terrible vision since I was a child and always dreamed of being able to wake up an see. But the idea of something cutting up my eye really scared me. Benjamin Eye was so friendly and so kind. They even put up with my unnecessary fears about the whole thing. I especially liked that you didn't have to get up and move half way through the procedure. They have a moving bed area that takes care of that process, unlike other Lasik places I've seen. I can see great and no complications.

I got Lasik surgery form this place and I did comparative shopping. This is not the lowest priced option but you certainly get what you paid for. The biggest difference maker for me is the fact that Dr. Benjamin does everything himself, he does the consult, surgery and follow up. if you go to other surgery centers, notice that the person who does your consult is not the person who will do the surgery. I prefer to meet and the person who will do my surgery. I believe this is worth the price. Facility: modern and clean. it belongs in the zip code Staff: the staff is nice and courteous, but can be loud and weird when they call your name out and ask for your picture, I hope they did this in a more discrete manner. but they do this only on your first visit. SPECIAL MENTION: Mayka is a great asset to this office, very professional, knowledgable, and patient. she answered all my questions and worked with me in regards to scheduling and payment. CON: they only validate parking on day of surgery, which means valet parking can be expensive, $10-$20 depending on how long you stay, but then again this is L.A. So, visit other Lasik surgery centers and make this your last stop, because Dr. Benjamin should perform your surgery.

We knew something was not right and found the Benjamin Eye Institute on line. From the moment we made contact with them, everything finally started to fall into place. They were totally calm about our out of state insurance, worked her in immediately due to the level of her pain, and spent a long time examining her and explaining her treatment and condition. Her level of pain at the time we arrived was about and 8/10 and by the time we got back to our hotel, about a 2/10. The following day her eye was significantly better and she was back to normal. The office was beautiful and I would HIGHLY recommend this team. I wish all physicians took the time they do to make sure a solution is found.

Dr. Arthur Benjamin, one of the BEST Eye Surgeons My husband, Mike, thought that he needed cataract surgery---- so I decided to look for one of the BEST cataract surgeons. I found Dr. Arthur Benjamin, ophthalmologist and surgeon. I was impressed by his education and training----Bachelors at Cornell University---- Medical School at Duke University---- Residency in Ophthalmology at UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute----so many diplomas in his office. I was further impressed by what Dr. Benjamin wrote to introduce himself on the Benjamin Eye Institute web site. I was attracted to the honesty and sincerity that came through his words. So, I made an appointment for my husband, Mike, and the rest is history. Dr. Benjamin examined Mike’s eyes. He explained about cataracts using visual images from his computer. Dr. Benjamin listened to all of our questions and concerns and answered them thoroughly before surgery. It helped us to feel at peace with the procedure. Mike had cataract surgery in both eyes two weeks apart. The surgery center was a very positive experience. I was able to go with Mike and sit by his bed while the nurse prepared him for surgery. The Doctors and nurses were all doing their jobs, in addition, to being patient and family friendly which made it a very comfortable situation. Dr. Benjamin had his own eye technician at the surgery center to explain to his patients the detailed schedule of administering eye drops that are needed after surgery. Lila patiently answers all of your questions so that you understand perfectly what you are supposed to do. To me, this was definitely a plus! Dr. Benjamin’s staff is very helpful and understanding. The results of the cataract surgery were excellent. Mike chose a multi-focal lens. He is now able to see close-up, at a distance, and in between with NO GLASSES! His vision is 20/20 at a distance and even better close up—20/16. I had extremely high expectations. I prayed to the HOLY SPIRIT to guide Dr. Benjamin and all people involved in the surgery. On a human level, I trusted in Dr. Arthur Benjamin’s medical training, his experience, and his expertise. I prayed for perfect surgery and I was not disappointed. In conclusion, Mike is so happy that he had cataract surgery. He is so happy that he went to Dr. Benjamin. He is so pleased that he doesn’t have to wear glasses anymore. I wish I had come to Dr. Benjamin years ago!! I have been hopping around between 3 eye doctors in the last few years complaining of severe eye pain, redness - so bad I haven’t been able to wear contacts for a year. Every other doctor made a diagnosis in 2 minutes, prescribed a few things and sent me on my way. Nothing helped and the doctors kept saying my eyes looked fine despite my symptoms. Finally I saw Dr. Benjamin, and he listened to my concerns from top to bottom and did tests the other doctors never did! He made a brand new diagnosis which finally makes sense and fits my symptoms. He spent almost an hour with me which is unbelievable. I am so impressed with this place, even the front desk and other staff were so friendly. I’m so relieved and am looking forward to making a recovery with Dr. Benjamin and eventually getting LASIK.

WOW! Where should I even begin? My entire experience with the Benjamin Eye Institute has been outstanding from the beginning to end. My first appointment I came in, all my questions were answered, I met the actual doctor, and developed a great relationship with all the staff. They made me feel well-informed, safe, and cared for. They promptly answered any and all questions and kept a great line of communication open in the 3 months of research I did before deciding on a doctor. I ended up choosing Benjamin Eye Institute, even at a little higher cost because I felt like they actually cared about me as a patient, and not just for the money they would receive for my procedure. Mayka helped me with all my issues regarding payment and put my mind at ease regarding my first elective surgery. The day of surgery went smoothly. I was seen about an hour after the scheduled surgery time but I think the doctor was held up taking care of an especially complicated case before mine. In any case, that shows how much they really care! They won't push people or do a job half-way just because of a time slot. Doctor Benjamin actually cares about his patients on a personal level. Immediately after my surgery, I was a little woozy from the Xanax but I could tell that my vision was already better than it had ever been. The very next morning I was able to drive MYSELF to the follow up appointment and my vision has improved ever single day since then. It has been almost 2 weeks and just the feeling of waking up and seeing everything cannot compare to anything else. It is like going from a regular TV to seeing everything in HD. AMAZING I would totally recommend Dr. Benjamin and his staff to anyone thinking about getting LASIK. My experience was outstanding from beginning to end and I would do it over again x100000 times.

It was a typical visit with Dr Golchet. The doctor was great, as usual. I requested Lana as my tech, as she is awesome, which I cannot say about all of the techs in the office. The injections get better each time that I get one. This time was no exception. Very little post-injection pain. A little sore and a little irritated, but overall very acceptable.

Worst experience with a Dr to date. Callous, uncaring, and was agitated that we wanted to use our insurance for services. My wife had a bad Stye and once we decided to pass on a treatment that he said is the only real option (that costs over 1k per treatment and must be repeated ongoing every 3mo to 6mo or yearly, with no gurantees) Dr. Benjamins whole demeanor changed. He begrudgingly injected her stye, with what he said was not as good as the other drug he could use, but insurance wouldnt cover that one for $175 more. We have excellent ppo Anthem insurance and spend 1500 a month for it. No other doctors seem to be as hellbent on getting you to commit to out of pocket non covered services as this Dr. Terrible how he made us feel! Shame on you...we found far better care elsewhere!

I had a great experience at Dr Benjamin's office. I am a plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills and depend on my vision for my career. TWO other eye surgeons had recommended Dr. Benjamin to me and I couldn't be happier. I have 20/20 vision with the ICL lens implant. My vision was too poor for LASIK and with the lens implant, I have HD vision! The surgery was a breeze, recovery was just one day. I was back to work the next day (I didn't operate though). If you are thinking about getting your vision better, go see him, he is fantastic!

I have been coming to the Benjamin Eye Institute for three years and I am always impressed by the level of service and professionalism I receive. I get timely reminders for check-ups and, on the appointed day, am never waiting more than 10 minutes to be called in. Dr. Benjamin has several assistants who handle the preliminary examination and tests – all of them are very pleasant and skilled at handling this phase of the visit, that always involves the latest technology and equipment. All the results are logged into a system so that when the doctor comes in to see you, all the results and images are there for him to share with you. Dr. Benjamin himself is very cordial gives you a clear and thorough review of the condition and progression of your eyesight. I have been very satisfied with my experience and interaction with him and his team. Highly recommended.

It it rather very simple – if you want to see without wearing contacts or glasses have LASIK. I was thinking about LASIK for long time. I knew it is necessary, but seemed very unaffordable. This year I decided to invest in my own health and get rid of glasses ones and for all. I did do my homework: LASIK is not cheap at all and can be done in many places – some of them are cheaper than others. Just as anybody would do, I scheduled this procedure done where I got the best deal. Than I thought about it. How many eyes do I have? Just two. It will be impossible to fix them after someone make a mistake or something goes wrong. I guess trying to save more on something that cannot be replaced is not the best idea. I canceled and looked for the best. Dr. Benjamin answered all of my questions and gave me a security feeling that I needed: 1 year “warranty” (if I'll need a correction – he will fix it free of charge, something other doctors simply don't do), 90% guaranty that everything will be great (other places give you only 70%). Here I am three months later – with 20/20 vision. My eyes are no longer irritated, no more lite sensitivity, and NO MORE GLASSES!!!!

I had never had a better service, especially considering the fact that my dream came through – No More Glasses. I did go to other doctors for the last five years, and every one of them turned me away – they could not operate due to luck of technology. Worst experience with a Dr to date. Callous, uncaring, and was agitated that we wanted to use our insurance for services. My wife had a bad Stye and once we decided to pass on a treatment that he said is the only real option (that costs over 1k per treatment and must be repeated ongoing every 3mo to 6mo or yearly, with no gurantees) Dr. Benjamins whole demeanor changed. He begrudgingly injected her stye, with what he said was not as good as the other drug he could use, but insurance wouldnt cover that one for $175 more. We have excellent ppo Anthem insurance and spend 1500 a month for it. No other doctors seem to be as hellbent on getting you to commit to out of pocket non covered services as this Dr. Terrible how he made us feel! Shame on you...we found far better care elsewhere!

I have been coming to the Benjamin Eye Institute for three years and I am always impressed by the level of service and professionalism I receive. I get timely reminders for check-ups and, on the appointed day, am never waiting more than 10 minutes to be called in. Dr. Benjamin has several assistants who handle the preliminary examination and tests – all of them are very pleasant and skilled at handling this phase of the visit, that always involves the latest technology and equipment. All the results are logged into a system so that when the doctor comes in to see you, all the results and images are there for him to share with you. Dr. Benjamin himself is very cordial gives you a clear and thorough review of the condition and progression of your eyesight. I have been very satisfied with my experience and interaction with him and his team. Highly recommended.

It it rather very simple – if you want to see without wearing contacts or glasses have LASIK. I was thinking about LASIK for long time. I knew it is necessary, but seemed very unaffordable. This year I decided to invest in my own health and get rid of glasses ones and for all. I did do my homework: LASIK is not cheap at all and can be done in many places – some of them are cheaper than others. Just as anybody would do, I scheduled this procedure done where I got the best deal. Than I thought about it. How many eyes do I have? Just two. It will be impossible to fix them after someone make a mistake or something goes wrong. I guess trying to save more on something that cannot be replaced is not the best idea. I canceled and looked for the best. Dr. Benjamin answered all of my questions and gave me a security feeling that I needed: 1 year “warranty” (if I'll need a correction – he will fix it free of charge, something other doctors simply don't do), 90% guaranty that everything will be great (other places give you only 70%). Here I am three months later – with 20/20 vision. My eyes are no longer irritated, no more lite sensitivity, and NO MORE GLASSES!!!!

I could not be more pleased or relieved! I only wish there were sufficient words of praise for Dr Benjamin and his wonderful staff. They are professional, kind, patient, organized - well, just everything that you would want someone who's going to operate on your eyes to be! As a middle-aged diabetic with a mysterious "smudge" in the upper field of vision of his right eye, I was less than thrilled to hear that I had cataracts (yes, BOTH eyes), but Dr Benjamin assured me that this was the best thing he could have told me - and he was right. He explained about cataracts, then about the procedure, and got me set up for surgery as quickly as possible. Since the procedure, during which the doctor also corrected my astigmatism, I see more clearly, unaided, than I have since high school. Colors are brighter, more intense; everything else is sharper; I still need reading glasses, but my distance vision is very nearly 20/20! I haven't seen this clearly since high school, even with contact lenses! To Dr Benjamin, the lovely Mayka and all the rest of the pros at the Benjamin Eye Institute, I thank you! And if anyone asks for my recommendation, guess where I'm sending them!
