From start to finish I’m beyond pleased. Everyone we worked with from the initial consultation through today’s surgery were kind, welcoming, professional, and very service oriented. Tonight capped it off when the surgeon (Dr. Lombardo) call to check in on how things were going. 12 hours after the appointment and certainly a long day for him, he cared enough to check in on his patient. First Class! I recommend TLC to anyone considering this procedure. After many years of wanting and months of research I decided to go to TLC to have my Lasik done. Best decision ever made for my eyes. The staff was so friendly and professional wait times were none. TLC May be a couple 100 more expensive but with the life time warranty it’s worth it. Being able to see 20/20 the day after absolutely amazed me I never had any uncomfortable situations with my eyes like the eyelash feeling some have said. From beginning to end, my experience at TLC in Annapolis was wonderful. The friendly staff and doctors make all the difference in the world and they go above and beyond to make it an easy process. The day of my surgery was definitely the day I realized the most how much they care about their patients. I came in with a last minute coupon I had found through my company's eye insurance program and I thought it might cause trouble (since it was the day of). Dominique at the front desk was so wonderful and helpful and made sure I was able to use the coupon. When I was being led into the operation room, Julia (the woman who I had been in contact the most throughout the process), followed me in and was the person at my side telling me to take deep breaths and rubbing my arm to help me stay calm. I thought that was a really thoughtful touch and I'm sure she was in there for additional reasons, but I thought it was great that the person I had contact with the most was calming me throughout the process. Dr. Melko has also been a joy to work with since she's helped me stay as comfortable as possible throughout my healing process. I can see great and my recovery instructions were very clear (even though it felt like nothing to recover from since it's so quick and painless!). So happy to have my new eyes and so happy I went with TLC in Annapolis.

From top to bottom, TLC is highly professional in their work. Eye corrective surgery is a big decision to make and you want to know you're being taken care of by the best. For me, TLC was the best. From the first consultation all the way through the surgery process and to the follow up consultations, there was never a question in my mind what to expect, how things would would go, what the procedure would be like, etc. During the procedure, I was walked through verbally step by step on everything I needed to do and what all was going on. There was never a moment of doubt. Dr. Lombardo was my surgeon and the accolades and accomplishments in his field almost need to be contained in a book. These are the kind of hands I wanted working on my eyes. TLC truly gave me the gift of sight. If funds for you are an issue, there is financing available at 0% interest for 12 months. Don't feel like you can't make the commitment. It is a big monetary commitment, but it's doable. One shouldn't be looking for a $0.99 "deal" on something this serious. Leave it to the best of the best. Choose TLC.

Was very nervous going in as this is my first operation to have EVER! Every single person in the office took such amazing care of me! All friendly and welcoming. The surgery itself was simple and I wasn’t alone any. Someone was with me talking and making me laugh and keeping me relaxed. It did not hurt and the healing has been great. I would recommend the TLC Center in Fargo! I felt comfortable knowing that my surgeon (Dr. Wexler) had over 40,000 LASIK procedures under his belt! They have the best technology available. The staff was very friendly and answered all my questions. They explained things well. The surgery itself is very weird and you feel pressure (no pain) but it's very quick! The first day will fly by since you'll sleep most of it away. I had severe dryness for the first week afterwards but I expected that. It's been two months now and the dryness is pretty much gone (better than it was with contacts). I'm seeing 20/15 and my primary eye doctor is very impressed and said they "did a great job...can't be any better than this!" I was a good candidate from the start, however, and followed the post-op instructions carefully. Make sure you are aware of all your risks if they have any concerns about your eyes. I calculated that I'm saving about 30 hours a year not having to put contacts in/out (as quick as that was!). I love being able to take a nap without worrying about contacts.

The entire staff there is absolutely amazing! The surgeon was sooo very qualified and friendly. When I went to my local eye doctor for my post-surgery check up, he said that he had his LASIK done by the same surgeon 15 years ago! My contacts were -5.25 in both eyes and I've worn glasses since 1st grade. My eyesight was 20/15 the morning following the procedure. I was worried about pain, but it was less uncomfortable than dry contacts! I was amazed! I highly recommend TLC to everyone who will listen. They are angels!!

My experience with TLC Laser Eye Center Annapolis office has been awesome from the free consultation through post op visits. I've worn glasses since middle school and contacts since high school. Being in my 30's now, my vision is perfect! I can watch TV from bed, see my alarm clock, etc without any strain. It feels liberating always being able to see! The staff is so friendly and extremely helpful. Julia, the surgical consultant, is very helpful and is always available via email to assist with any questions or with scheduling. The techs are great. Dr. Melko is very thorough and explains the procedure very well. Dr. Scott is very professional and gentle during surgery. The front office staff is great especially Dominique. You will not have a better experience!

I had my final check-up and have healed perfectly with 20/20 vision. I had the PRK procedure, which isn't the most comfortable recovery but the Doctors did an excellent job discussing and educating me about each aspect of the procedure up front. I was well taken care of from start to finish and would highly recommend LASIK or PRK for anyone. It's amazing to not worry about glasses or contacts anymore. When it was all said and done my total costs came to $4200 but I have 0% interest 2 year financing through Synchrony. I'd say it won't take long for the investment to pay for itself, and as I age if I certainly need an enhancement TLC had a guarantee which is excellent. I would recommend TLC to my friends and family.

Every staff member I met was so kind, patient, and thorough during each step of the initial consultation process for my procedure. I also appreciate the ability to schedule a meeting with the actual surgeon prior to the day of the procedure, so that I could ask even more questions and make sure I felt comfortable. I appreciate that the staff coordinated financing support as well as continuity of care between their office and my local optometrist; since I live an hour away, it was so nice to have the option of completing pre- and post-op checks with my regular optometrist, which cut down on how many trips I had to make into the city. Overall, I was made to feel at ease by the entire staff, despite embarking on an anxiety-inducing surgical procedure! The only constructive feedback I have is regarding their online booking: I was able to set an initial consult appointment through their website, which I did on a weekend and had set for first thing Monday morning. Nowhere in the appointment making process, nor in the confirmation email, did it say that I needed to have been without contacts for a minimum of 7 days in order for my screening testing to be valid. Now to their credit, a staff member did call me first thing the morning of my appointment and, upon learning that I had worn contacts the previous day, did inform me that I would have to book a second appointment for after 7 days contact-free. Since I was already en route to the city, I elected to keep that day’s appointment, but I did have to come back a week later. Not a huge hassle but it did involve me taking a second part-day off of work, not to mention the cost of commuting to and from the facility twice. In the future, I would suggest that TLC put a disclaimer on their online sign-up page warning about needing to be out of contacts for at least a week before your consultation visit. Apart from that, I’m an extremely happy customer. Eye surgery isn’t something to take lightly, and I would never go through with the procedure unless I felt 100% comfortable with the staff and the facility. I feel very safe in the hands of Dr Lombardo and his colleagues!

It was $3700 with a $1000 deduction with a referral from my eye doctor. Yes, it is a bit expensive but it’s completely worth the money especially if you’re vision is as bad as mine was. I planned ahead and had money set aside with my Flex Benefits account, that made it so much more affordable for me to do it that way. The staff was super nice and very good about walking you through everything the day of surgery. I was very nervous and very scared to have the procedure done but I honestly feel silly for having been so nervous. The actual procedure is only about 15min long and is completely painless and VERY minimal discomfort both during and after surgery. At 30yrs old I had a very high prescription and a pretty bad astigmatism, now I have no astigmatism and my vision is actually 20/15 and that’s literally 5 days post-op! It’s so amazing! I’m so impressed and would do it again 10 times over! I 100% recommend having LASIK done and you seriously can’t go wrong with doing it with TLC, they are amazing.

My experience with TLC in Little Rock was amazing. I had terrible eyesight (-10) prior to my procedure and was told LASIK wasn’t an option for me. I visited the folks at TLC and they had a different opinion. The day after my surgery I had 20/15 vision in both eyes. Even if you’ve been told “no” by LASIK professionals before or think your Rx is too strong, visit the folks at TLC Little Rock. Give them a chance to earn your trust and business and you won’t be disappointed.

I waited to write this review until after my 3 month checkup. All I can say is everything about this experience was awesome! They treated me with respect through the entire process. The only odd thing (and this has nothing to do with TLC, just post eye surgery itself) was for about 3 weeks after my surgery, bright LED lights had a lot more of a radiating glow around them (made it a little more difficult to see while driving at night). But it seems to have corrected now and I am extremely happy with the results and I would recommend TLC in a heartbeat!

Dr. Penick III, MD is quite obviously a skilled ophthalmologist with a wonderful bedside manner. The preoperative and postoperative instructions were thorough, and all questions answered completely. The procedure was quick, and painless. The equipment in the facility is state of the art. My 22 year old son recently underwent a LASIK procedure with TLC. To watch him go from a -6.25 correction in each eye, to testing at 20/15 during his one day check up, was nothing short of miraculous. Today is postoperative day 3, and his vision is becoming more crisp and clear. The discomfort was minimal for the evening following the procedure, and nonexistent since. I have to say, as a parent, this has been the most impactful healthcare decision we have made for any of our children. The benefit to quality of life, and dollars saved on glasses and contacts far outweigh the cost. I had Lasik done in October. I went to a couple different places to figure out the best price and the best care that I would receive. After my consultation at TCL I walked away knowing that I would get my lasik from there. I did all the Pre Op appointments and the workers were very nice and answered all my questions. The whole surgery was explained in detail before hand and I also emailed some questions that I thought of after my Pre-Op. For surgery day, when I arrived I was greeted right away with smiles and the paperwork was ready to go for the day. I would suggest doing surgery in the morning so then you can sleep all day. The surgery prep was explained and I met with my doctor. He was very soft spoken and went in depth on the questions that I had about the laser. In the surgery room he had soft hands when working with my eyes and I was prepared for the operation and what was happening the whole time. After surgery I met with DR. Ashley and she checked in on my eyes to make sure everything turned out well. My post ops were done by my regular eye professional. My experience at TLC was excellent. All my questions were answered in a timly manner and my concerns were addressed with knowledge and care. I would recommend going to TLC in Fargo.

I had a consultation exam in July 2019 and they informed me I was a candidate for LASIK. My vision wasn't horrible but bad enough to wear contacts for 15 years and I was tired of "wasting" money. When I heard the procedure was a lifetime guarantee (with stipulations), I was sold. I decided not to wait and to have my surgery the following month. As of today, I am 1 day past my operation and I couldn't be happier! My vision is now 20/15 (better than 20/20) and I do not have dry or burning eyes. The surgery itself did hurt a lot, which is why they probably gave me Valium! The pain was very short lived (~15-20 seconds per eye) and then you are on your way to a 4 hour nap. Every person I came into contact at TLC Annapolis office was amazing and very helpful. I never had to wait long and I appreciate their positive attitudes! I would 100% recommend this surgery and location to all my friends and family. Thank you so much for giving me perfect vision without contacts or glasses!

I never thought I would be one to undergo an elective surgery. The fact that corrective laser eye surgery is called a surgery at all makes it sound more invasive than it really is. The procedure took less than 15 minutes from walking back to the room to walking to my car to be driven home. And then, when I woke up from the best 5-hour nap of my life, I could already see more clearly and was not in any discomfort. I had to get used to giving myself eye drops (never have liked them), but since that was the worst part, I could handle it. From my first consultation to my final post-op check-up, the doctors and the staff make me super comfortable. As a matter of fact, I will miss seeing them now that I have “graduated” from their care.

I had my procedure June 28th and haven't had any issues or regrets. The team at TLC was knowledgeable and more importantly seemed genuinely concerned with me as a patient, and not just trying to sell me on the procedure. The pre-exam consult was much more thorough than the one I had at a competing provider. Also, my Surgeon and the vision doctors on site at TLC are in my insurance plans network. They also took care of coordinating all of the pre and post surgery examinations (which were included in the price) with my supporting care optometrist going so far as to provide a referral as the practice and doctor I originally was under the care of was no longer available at a convenient location. My surgeon Dr. Lombardo had the necessary experience and patient care focus that also provided peace of mind. He called and left a voice mail as part of the post op which was a nice touch. Ultimately, I paid a bit more for my Lasik procedure at TLC than I would have at another provider that I had a consult with, but when it comes to health cheapest isn't always best. I would highly recommend TLC if you are considering vision correction of any kind.

My experience has been OK at best. I may be one of the "rare" cases with issues with lasik, but here is what my experience was like: I had bad eyes (-7.. pretty bad eyes) and always wanted lasik so I finally decided to try out TLC in Fargo, ND. The check up was easy and nice, and everything seemed to be great. The day of surgery... First, my left eye still had some feeling even after they put numbing drops in, and I did feel that clamp go into my eyes (made me twitch like crazy) and its one of the most uncomfortable feelings ever (felt like dust all over the inside of my eyes).... I told the surgeon, Dr. Stephen Wexler, that I felt it, but he told me "try to hold still" and began the surgery. I didn't want to go blind or anything like that, so I held my fears in and had to hold while they shot the laser. That was my left eye. The laser did not hurt, thankfully. Then they go to my right, and thankfully I did not feel anything but pressure from the clamp. However, they started to cut the flap, then said I had bubbles in my eyes so I was placed in a dark room for an hour. I sat there pretty much blind, unable to see anything for an hour and waiting until the bubbles went away. After an hour, they finally get me back in and go through the surgery. Everything seemed to go well after, but let me tell you, my right eye had laser for about 40-50 seconds. Waaaay longer than anyone ever mentioned to me. And even though 40 seconds may seem short, it was a long time for me, especially with all that happened. After the surgery, everything is blurry and hazy. My eyes were still probably at least a -5 prescription (seemed like it). I was scared that I might have bad vision from this point. I slept it off (as they recommended) then my eyes slowly started to get better over a few days... It's been about 6+ months since, and my eyes are constantly dry (put eye drops in all the time), vision is hazy (seems like there is a hazy white screen - very light but its definitely not clear as it should be), night vision is terrible with glowing and glares from all the lights. Overall, I had high hopes for lasik and my expectation was met with mediocrity. I hate the constant dry eyes, fuzzy vision (especially at night), etc. I wish I went back and went elsewhere and tried my luck somewhere else. But as it is, I went through it and there is no turning back at this point. I may be one of the rare cases with such hardships. They tell me to just keep putting eye drops in and it'll get better. I'll press my luck for another few months and I will let you know if it does. Would I recommend this place? No. Not with my experience. But then again, other people seemed not not have this kind of experience.

I am a very active person and have to have several types of prescription eye wear which can be very frustrating and expensive. Not any more! I had my procedure yesterday and within hours could see without glasses and my eye sight just keeps getting better. The staff is amazing and the equipment and facilities or very well kept. I wish I could rate TLC six stars. I have a terrible phobia of anything to do with medical procedures - I often faint getting vaccines or blood tests. The nurses and surgeon at TLC made me feel SO comfortable while getting Lasik eye surgery. They played fun music in the surgery room, gave me a blanket, counted down the seconds of each part of the procedure, reminded me to breathe - they even held my hand! Since the surgery only takes a few minutes, they let me take breaks to breathe when I got scared and never rushed me. If there is a perfect place to get Lasik, it is TLC. I had a consult at TLC and McFarland. I was honestly hesitant of TLC because it is a national chain and McFarland is local. The consult at TLC was perfect. Everyone was extremely nice and they spent the entire time explaining the procedure to me in depth. The consult at McFarland was the exact opposite. Went into TLC three times in five years and they told me that I didn’t qualify yet for lasik and the last visit this year they said I would never qualify for laser eye surgery. I went to see Dr. Strinden in Fargo and he said I would qualify just fine with no problems. At TLC you don’t meet with the actual doctor performing the procedure so they input your results in a computer and tell if you will qualify or not. With that being said and you are not meeting with the actual doctor, please don’t waste your time at this place!

Throughout the process, it was explained by the nurse in the room what was coming next and for how long it would last. The actual process was uncomfortable but not painful at all. The post-op is more annoying than the actual process with the eye drops. Haha! Necessary, I know but if that's the only annoying thing about it, that's great! I could see immediately after the process. I can't tell you how much my mood has changed. I would highly recommend TLC.

My anxiety before the procedure was off the charts but they provided extensive information and how to prepare for my surgery. The whole process is simple if you follow the instructions provided by the knowledgeable staff. The actual procedure was less than 15 minutes!! Later that evening, I could read the bottom scroll on the news without any assistance (something I haven't done in nearly 20 years). I had my final follow up appointment today and am proud to say I have 20/20 vision. No irritation, no infections, no pain JUST AMAZING VISION. My experience at TLC was five stars. They made me feel comfortable, prepared, and confident. I had a ton of questions going into this and they were able to answer all of them, with complete honesty. If I had to do it again I would choose TLC each time. I am one week out after having LASIK and can see well, but still sensitive to light and have dry eyes (which is a normal part of the healing process). I will leave another update once I am completely healed for my full review of the entire process. Update 2 months later: The dry eyes and sensitivity to light was almost completely gone 3 weeks post surgery. It has been amazing being able to see without contacts or glasses. One of the best decisions I've ever made.

I debated doing Lasik for many years. Some of the reasons for the delay were just financial but most of it was fear and uncertainty. I was afraid that the procedure was not actually as easy as it had been described to me and i was convinced that the recovery time would be significantly longer than advertised. I am so happy to say my concerns were completely wrong and misguided and I certainly don't admit that very often. TLC made the process so easy and the staff explained everything every step of the way putting me at complete ease. And the recovery was amazing. After the very quick procedure I went home and took a nap. After a couple hours I woke up and had minimal discomfort and was able to see without the assistance of my glasses. At my 4 day check up one eye was already 20/20 the other was 20/25 and the doctor said she expected it to continue to improve as it healed. I had my procedure on a Friday and i was back at work on Monday with no issues at all. I am happy to report i am not only a believer now but I tell everyone that will listen if you are thinking about it, do it! And when asked for a recommendation TLC is what comes out of my mouth. Thank you TLC for helping me see glasses free!!

TLC was the second place I looked at in my search for a place to get Lasik, and so happy I found it. I first went to LasikPlus in Columbia, but that location felt like a Lasik factory. Everything was rushed, and the receptionist staff was very aggressive in trying to get me to make an appointment. After that I was a bit scared off from Lasik in general, but a few months later went back on the search and came across TLC/Chesapeake Eye Care (CEC). Pros: 1. Transparent: As far as I could tell there were no misleading "$250 per eye!" claims on either the TLC site or CEC site and no 20/20 guarantees. 2. Thorough: When I did my consultation I went through what felt like 20 tests. I had no doubt TLC/CEC knew exactly what was going on with my eyes. 3. Comfortable: I never felt rushed or coerced. After the consultation, the staff congratulated me on being a candidate, and wished me the best in my decision process. No spam calls, no panic deal pricing tactics. 4. Time for patients: Though briefly, I did see Dr. Scott during the consultation, which seems rare for Lasik surgeons. 5. Reasonable Price: Before discounts TLC was ~$400 more than LasikPlus. With the discounts I got at both it became a $300 difference. Not enough of a gap to sacrifice the level of comfort at TLC. 6. Great staff: Everyone at CEC and TLC was informative and very nice. 7. Great procedure: Most importantly, I'm seeing well. So far no issues/complications. Cons: 1. Understanding how Chesapeake Eye and TLC work together when it comes to Lasik was confusing at first, and made me feel uneasy until I understood what the situation was. When I first showed up I thought they were mutually exclusive, and thought I made an appointment at the wrong place. But turns out they work in concert with each other and all was fine. 2. The wait time during my consultation at CEC was LONG. I was there for ~3 hours, much of it in a waiting room. May have been a fluke, but others around me made comments that it was not. BUT, part of this was because Dr. Scott insisted on seeing every single person there. 3. The TLC lifetime commitment requires that you see a TLC affiliate every year for... forever. I'll try to hold that up for as long as I can but it's quite the, well, commitment. I will eventually move, and will have to keep remembering to find a new affiliate. But I'm hoping I'll never need to cash in on that offer. Overall though, no regrets and super happy with the results.

One of the best customer service experiences I've ever had hands down. I contacted tlc to try and have lasik done as quick as possible because time was an issue for me. Called on a Tuesday and was told take my contacts out immediately. Went in and got approved a couple days later, they set up the appointment to have my eyes examined and dilated by my doctor, came in for final scans and had surgery a couple days later. The entire process only took 10 days! I told them them I was extremely nervous and they could tell. Every employee there did everything they could to make me comfortable. They showed me the surgery room the day before so I knew what to expect and exactly how surgery day would go. The doctor was extremely professional, explains everything very clearly during the surgery so there's no surprises. The surgery itself only took 15 minutes. There was no hidden or unexplained fee for the payment and financing and a really good military discount which was unexpected. They also set up my post op appointments with my eye doctor so i didnt have to worry about anything. Healing instructions were very clear and explained to me multiple times. There wasn't a single employee I came across that didn't provide exceptional service or couldn't answer any questions I had, and I had a lot of them. I just got done with my 1 month post op exam and am seeing 20/15 in one eye and 20/20 In the other. Absolutely no complaints or regrets. Thank you guys very much!

The staff were great. Friendly, and calming. I was very nervous to have the PRK lasik. I am now 7 months post OP. I can see great! 20/15 both eyes. I am still sensitive to the light and wear sunglass outside, even after being approved not to. Florescent lights were very bothersome for about 3 weeks after surgery. I am a nurse and the computer work was difficult for about 2 weeks. So if u work in areas like these take that into consideration when taking time off of work. I didn't have any pain at all after the procedure. I would highly recommend TLC laser eye center.

Complete waste of money - DONT GO TO FARGO TLC. I wasted all kinds of money just trying to see if I qualify. First you get a free visit but if there is anything they don't understand about your eyes they send you to visit all kinds of expensive other doctors. The people at TLC did not know how to interpret my eye exam, or I should say would not take the time to examine it further. I was led on and on, and on. $2000 later in expense from other clinics to answer things I felt they should know, yes 2k later after jumping through hoops they recommended, having a surgeon tell me 2 times Lasik surgery is safe for me, TLC basically changed stories and led me into other very silly conversations. After getting medical records from Surgeons they changed stories over and over about what they recommended. When I corrected them with the paid for medical reports I knew they did not even read my files and reports they send me to get. I went to Twin Cities for Lasik. Zero problems.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Everyone is nice and friendly and I was barely in the waiting room at all because they're so fast! They take you back and really spend quality time with you discussing your options and going over everything to make sure that you understand everything. They really care about your safety and if something runs a high risk they will not do it. Your safety is the most important to them. There was no pain during the procedure and when I sat up 20 minutes later I could already start to see some! One day after surgery, I was already within one letter of 20/20 vision. I'm now almost a month after the procedure and my healing is going great. My dry eye is almost gone completely, but even when I do have dry eye, my drops handle it with no problem. Seriously, this place is GREAT! I'm so glad I chose them and I've recommended them to everyone I've talked to.

My experience with TLC was/is overall great. When I first went in for the consult, they explained everything thoroughly and told me that they wouldnt recommend the surgery unless they felt I qualified well enough to get a good experience out of it. We ran tests and determined I was eligible and then we moved forward discussing the procedures and potential risks. and I confirmed that I did want the procedure done. They also went over available payment options without me having to bring it up. I've had my new vision for a week now and completely love it (I've had glasses or contacts for about 15 years). Right from the beginning, the staff at TLC have been friendly and and up front about risks and costs, and have shown that they care about my eyes. I'd highly suggest going to them.

My LASIK experience went very smoothly. They have a great team that led me through all the aspects from prepping to payment to the surgery and post op care. I could tell my eyesight was better when I looked out the window in the examining room less than 5 minutes after surgery and could make out cars driving. It is 3 days since surgery and my distance eyesight is better than 20/20 and up close is back to normal to where reading glasses aren't necessary.
